You come very close to perfectly describing a family that I know VERY WELL. As I have followed this case I have become concerned for a child that is not old enough to talk yet to be able to tell the grandparents what they probably already KNOW and don't want to hear. Their dtr. "absolutely" RULES their lives as the mother waits on her hand and foot and takes care of her child most of the time.
Oddly, at one point, when things were not going her way and before she had the child and the parents were trying to "encourage" her to move out on her own she threatened to claim "abuse". That was several years ago and she still lives with them and the parents still "clean up behind her" , in more ways than one!!! And they KNOW IT! but can't stop themselves!!!
I am thankful I am not in their shoes (or head) as I am thankful for the same thing with the Anthonys. .
I think GA may have lied about some things but I just can't believe most of the allegations spewed out against him in the OS. Guess I might have to eat my words (been there, done that) but I think he was a man caught in a situation that he could not really understand or handle. I really don't think he is very "sophisticated" in his thinking. I would have to have more than KC's "word" to believe he molested her or did NOTHING but yell at her after the "accident" and help bury Caylee, who he obviously loved dearly .......not even sure there was an accident at all.
I'm with those who say ......OK...go with the accident if that's all you have but leave G out of it!
by the way.......(is this OT?).....when CM talked about the "flat affect" (alluding, I believe, to effects of her "abuse") I wanted to come out of my chair. All that I have read and SEEN about KC before the trial started and during breaks when the jury was out of the room depicts, to me, a very animated young lady, able to "win friends and influence people"......which would include , it appears, her DT.
just thoughts really
