I thought we could add qualifiers such as:
1. "They have enough evidence to arrest and convict. What are they waiting for?"
2. "They have enough evidence to arrest, but not to convict."
3. "They don't have any evidence against Terri at all."
and so forth.
maybe this ===>
is the fact that Terri hasn't been arrested indicative of lack of evidence?
- No

pretty much what we have now, isn't it![]()

"In this case, we don't even have an indictment, so we don't even have a limit as to how long this can go on," Rackner argued.

I think they have enough for an arrest but want to ensure she is convicted of every possible serious crime she has committed. I also think she may have been a knowing/helping/ring leader of crime(s) and that makes it harder to convict her, versus the individual(s) that actually carried out the act(s).
Something I've wondered about is how LE determines if a person is at risk to do some other wild thing while out free to do so.
What if TMH killed herself right now? Would LE have enough to conclude anything as to Kyron's whereabouts or what happened?
I think they are very sure of what they do have, but further evidence is needed - finding Kyron would be crucial.
LE must know TMH is just not the type to commit suicide, but there's been an instance of that before. She has information and it's important information. I hope this search is making her squirm and be uncomfortable, at the very least.
When this first started, someone said (Gates? not sure and am too lazy to look it up right now), something to the effect "we hope to have this case wrapped up by the end of week". That comments sticks in my mind like glue. WTH happened that turned that entirely around? What did they suspect that turned out not to be what they suspected? Why at such a short interval did they think they had it darn near wrapped up? That statement bugs the heck out of me.
That was Staton, referring to the search, and they did wrap it up at the end of that week - sent the searchers home.
Was he referring to the search? That was not the impression I had at the time.
tick tock tick tock. The GJ keeps interviewing witnesses.
Building the case. Dotting the "i's". Tick tock tick tock.
Don't overlook anything.
When they are done interviewing all of the numerous witnesses as this was at a school, they will arrest .
The task force is streamlining and organizing the evidence.
No need to arrest until everything is in, documented, and organized. Taui roa!
