It's horrific and unimaginable to think these groups exist, but this is terrorism. Look at every terrorist group we know of. They are not afraid to take innocent civilians (even seem to enjoy that), they aren't afraid to take their own selves out with the plot (look at 9/11 and other sui#de attacks. This hate seems to be grown in certain populations that look for and need some type of purpose.I find this article really fascinating. Almost unbelievable.
One thing I really have trouble understanding about October 7 is the idea that 3000 men went into Israel and did things like bake babies in front of their parents, kill parents in front of their kids. They did everything that they could not just to kill but to maximize suffering. When you hear about murders like this happening in the world, it’s usually one person and it’s usually because they experienced severe childhood trauma, were psychotic, or had some other major abnormality going on. Then there are reports that the terrorists were smiling and shouting glory to God as they went from house to house, killing people. Unimaginable. I think that, for the average person, you would have to go through a significant amount of brainwashing and trauma in order to participate in a crime like that much less smile during it. It is very hard for me to believe that there wasn’t some sort of desensitization training or something for October 7 to take place. The thing I find unbelievable is that they were told what to do mere moments before doing it and they were able to do it- while smiling. I know they had Captagon, but still.
I think there’s a lot to learn about group psychology and brainwashing of a population because I feel like that’s what’s happened here. Most people couldn’t fathom doing what was done on October 7 and yet thousands of people did it.
Not unlike the military actually. The difference is the military is trained to help and they play by rules and they are taught to look out for their battle buddy, they don't leave fallen comrades, they don't target children, civilians, and their driving force is they are fighting FOR those they love, the values they hold dear, and the country they love.
Terrorists seem to have been bonded by hate and they are trained to it seems commit these acts at all costs. Their own lives, the lives of their battle buddy, even the lives of those they supposedly are fighting for.. hiding behind civilians and putting civilians in harms way. Harming babies just because of who they are born to. Defies all laws of humanity. Even some of the most evil people could and would never harm babies, children.. etc
All I know for sure is every war we've ever had there have been innocent civilians killed. There is always going to be the possibility that people are in harms way and as much as we try to minimize that, it does happen. The difference here is MOST do not do this intentionally to take joy in and celebrate the fact that innocent civilians were killed. There is no joy in that for the US and most allies I know of. Soldiers come home severely traumatized by things they saw, the unintentional consequences of military actions, they are never the same. The idea that they would celebrate or even worse intentionally commit any of those actions we saw on Oct 7 from HAMAS.. My brain can't even come up with a why or how that makes sense. Even training these people to commit these actions, grooming from the time they are children?? I don't know.. how why? Why is there so much hate in these people?
What I have seen and heard and read about was as if a pack of wild animals that have no ability to feel any emotions were unleashed on Israel.. the acts we saw were not of human beings, they were of wild rabid animals. Not a single decent moral human should see that and think, it's okay because of anything Israel has ever done in the past. There is NO justification for it. I think that is almost more disturbing to me than those that committed these acts on Oct 7th.. people around the world agreeing with what was done and supporting it.
