On the Katie vs Katie thing - can I just express my thoughts?

I think both Katie's are GREAT. Both are articulate and passionate. Both have their own reasons for being there. Our Katie is an advocate and angel who wants to make a difference based on her own life experiences. As much as I believe in being a team member - I don't see the other Katie as not a team member even if she is not a poster here (and do we know that she is not????) ......anyhoooooooo - I also don't think that having ambition and a desire to be in the industry is a bad thing. Heck, I wish I had her energy! The only way I would find her drive possibly offensive is if she travels from case to case trying to insert herself in cases. In which I would advise her to go to broadcasting school instead! That said, to any Katie reading here - I think you ROCK!

Watching NG for info on what happened today since I had to work....notable difference in her demeanor since Monday....I now know who she reminds me of testifying............Mary Winkler.....not Monday when she was so chatty but today she is just like Mary Winkler was...trying to look down and be demure.:furious:

Speaking of Mary Winkler,I remember watching the CA trial and saying that the defense team was hoping for a Mary Winkler jury.And by George,they got one!No pun intended.

So, if I'm a juror and have been paying attention, here's what would stand out to me and what I would want to know:

1. Jodi has engaged in weird stalking behavior in nearly every relationship she's had.

Bobby -- after Bobby left the library computer, Jodi took Bobby to his friend's house, and then returned to the library, where she accidentally hit the back button on the library computer and happened to bring up Bobby's hotmail account -- at which time she proceeded to actually read the emails in his account. She then printed off the emails and took them to Bobby and confronted him about them.

Matt -- While hanging out with Matt's Dad's girlfriend, she just happened to see pics of Matt with another girl, B. THEN, 2 people she didn't even know approached her and took a vote to tell her Matt was cheating on her. She called in sick to work, drove to another state to confront Matt and this Bianca girl -- Matt wasn't there, but "Steve" found it necessary to go warn Bianca. She confronted her at her home and talked to her for an hour and a half.

Travis -- she kept hitting back button on his computer until she ended up in his email account. She then proceeded to read every email between him and a female. Saw that he was flirting with girls about making out and was having "affair" with married LDS woman.

She snooped through his text messages when he was napping.

She logged on to his Facebook and Gmail accounts way after they were broken up and after she had moved back to California. She explained that Travis had given her the passwords to "re-establish trust" months after they had broken up. This is not believable.

She listened to Travis' voicemails 4 hours after she murdered him.

2. She moved in with every boy she dated.

3. Every time she got pissed, she packed up and moved, usually to another city. She was pissed at her parents for grounding her, so she quit school and moved in with a vampire and his elderly hoarder parents/grandparents. She was pissed at Bobby so she moved out and went back to visit Victor. She was pissed at Matt so she moved again to another city to get away from him.

4. Every time she broke up with a boy, she got back together with him and continued to have sex with him -- sometimes moved back in with him, and continued hanging out with his friends and family.

5. Every time she got a new boyfriend, she got a new religion

6. All of the "cheating", which led to the snooping and confrontations seems to have taken place after Jodi and her boyfriend-du-jour had already broken up. She just didn't seem to accept the breakup and continued to expect the ex boyfriends to be "faithful" even after the relationship ended.


So you put all this in context, and if I were on that jury, I would think the last visit to Travis was not something Travis knew about or invited. Based on her pattern with other boyfriends, as a jury member, I would believe that she went to confront Travis because she was pissed. I would think about how she behaved with other boyfriends and consider that she took a gun and knife with her this time -- and it would be pretty clear that she was so pissed that she drove several hundred miles to confront Travis and kill him.

Thank You so much for putting it all together. Anybody that reads this will be shocked by how consistent her stalking has been. She added killing this time and it could become a pattern like the stalking was. Frightening.

Hi Lacey! You were MIA for a few days, good to see you again!


I'll bet Juan is all over this situation right now and there's a task force assigned to this stolen laptop. Not exactly sure how it would work but any "new" information the defense receives pertaining to Dr. Demarte's potential testimony and/or communication from anyone in JA's circle to her attorneys will be sniffed out by Mr. Martinez. If there's any dirty business going on and the defense DARES to benefit from it, Juan and Det. Flores and the authorities will make everyone involved pay big time.

OH! By the way, found out Bobby does exist. He was shopping for a book deal early on and they all shined him on until just this week they realized he was for real...will not reveal my source on this but it was told to me. He told them he was also stalked by Jodi. What a surprise.

My sentiments exactly, that is what she is, a Killer, amongst other things.

I refuse to call her by her first name at all, which is why I only enter her initials when I make reference to her sorry arse, and I refer to the victim as Travis in my posts. What I really want to call her is !@#$$$%%! well, it is not allowed on here.

I am with you that! Not only can I not say/type/acknowledge her name, but for the longest time I would NOT read about this case because I could not look at her picture. I would scroll quickly past it. Those small beady eyes emanate something horrible I've seen before.

How many cameras are there in the courtroom?

Ok so up in the left corner--like behind the witness stand and jury box way over in the left there are two large cameras facing in different directions. Beyond that, I'm not sure. Oh well there's a whole a/v room right behind the State's side of the gallery so obviously a camera trained on the witness stand coming from that general area on a high zoom.

There are screens EVERYWHERE.

I really like the 3 siblings sitting together. first that is what the camera normally shows: the first 3. TA's brother seems like a good person, he is entirely attentive to the point of seeming like he is sitting erect in his seat, he does not flinch one bit. He is "bearing witness" with every bit of consciousness and cell in his body.

and he is quite good looking too...very stoic and definitely seems, in my mind, to be bearing the brunt of all this for his sisters.

He blatantly lied to the jury. He got a freebie because of the idiotic inconsistency in rules for opening statements and rules of evidence. "You don't have to prove it" is not a good thing to give to defense attorneys. I'd also add that Perry did nothing to stop Baez dishonesty throughout the trial, so it seems to me he wouldn't have cared even if he did know Baez' intentions.

Honesty has zero to do with being a defense attorney. The whole purpose is to force the state to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt,

Defenses job is to create manufacture or otherwise put forth that doubt by any means necessary under the law.

There is a hearing tomorrow - so, no jodi on the stand. I think if that hearing runs past 3pm EST when InSession goes off the air - then HLN will take over coverage. If the hearing is over, they will re-hash and replay the weeks events till JVM at 7pmEST.

you said that perfectly - how many times can you accidently hack some ones email accounts - and i just must live in a different world - when i see some one leave their account open - i close it so i don't invade their privacy, i don't go thru another purse or wallet unless i am specifically asked - i even erase but calls w/ out listening cuz its just nonw of my business - idk may i am the anomaly

I didn't get an update today but I'm heartened by Beth's words "we have everything archived in HLN". So next time I'll ask who's the who I need to give this info to. My tactic is going to be "if you upload that to your site it will be flooded with trial watchers wanting to watch this opening again". And I will emphasize how good of an idea it will be to do it before closings!

From what I heard today he had "tons of" these leather bound journals. So maybe Skye got the ones that Jodi hadn't destroyed...?? Maybe he started storing them w/ the Hughes' after she did this horrible thing.
