I agree. That alone, the fact that he did not allow her to camp out at his place, must have infuriated her beyond belief. I can't believe that she moved to Mesa AFTER they had split. It makes NO SENSE to me whatsoever. I can't figure out if she ever "lived" with him "officially". Has this ever come out because it sounds to me like she never did???

No, she didn't but the roommates use the word "open door policy" for Jodi at first. So from Mid to late January 2008 she was coming more often, trips etc, that was the beginning of them as more of an "item" but that period only really lasted Fed/March/April when it fell apart and they were really fighting.. that very long email to him in May...Dead in June

And I agree with everyone else, I think she moved back to Yreka, and there is no way he was trying to get her to stay.

He figured out fairly soon I think, this was not going to work. 3 or so months is not long, the last 2 were just bickering topped off with a rage filled murder.

Ryan Burns, a former love interest of Jodi Arias, testified in court Wednesday. The once-budding love interest of Jodi Arias testified Wednesday that he had a heated make-out session with her just a day after her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander was stabbed and shot to death.

"We were talking and we kissed ... Every time we started kissing it got a little more escalated," Ryan Burns, a former love interest of Arias and co-worker at PrePaid Legal Services testified during day four of her trial.

Burns claimed the couple never removed their clothes during the encounter and that he "never touched her breasts or anything."


According to Jodi Arias' defense attorney, Travis Alexander had this shirt made for her to show his ownership of her.

Prosecutors said Arias, a 32-year-old photographer from Yreka, Calif., went to Alexander's Mesa, Ariz., apartment on June 4, 2008, and shot and stabbed the 30-year-old man, before driving to Utah to visit Burns.

Burns testified he first met Arias at a PrePaid Legal convention in Oklahoma in April 2008. Alexander was also at the convention, he said.

Burns acknowledged that he knew who Alexander was, but did not know him personally. "[Jodi and I] spoke at the event. talked to her a little bit [and we] got to know each other a little bit and I asked for her number," Burns said.

A few weeks after that initial meeting, Burns and Arias began chatting on the phone three to five times a week. Toward the end of May, he and Arias made plans for her to visit him at his home in West Jordan, Utah, he testified.

According to Burns, Arias was several hours late when she arrived there June 5, 2008. She told him that she had gotten lost and had stopped to rest. Arias had cuts on her hands when she arrived. "She had two small bandages on a couple of her fingers," Burns testified.

Arias explained away the injuries by saying she worked at a Margaritaville restaurant, and had broken a glass and cut her finger, Burns said. He also testified that Arias' hair was blonde when he met her, but was brown when she came to visit him.

Arias followed Burns to a business meeting after they met up. While en route, she was stopped by police because the license plate on her vehicle was upside down. She attributed this to kids she said were messing around with her car, Burns said.

I think this testimony conflicts with what JA said on the stand last week. I am not sure where to find this portion of her testimony, but IIRC, she said that one of her friends called her and told her that they ' met her future husband.' And they told her about Ryan, and she said she didn't really know him, but agreed to let him call her and get to know her. And she testified that she had met him but didn't really remember him. Yet he says that she gave him her number. :waitasec:

I am pretty sure (although, really who knows?) that Travis didn't give her that shirt, but that she either made it or stole it from the stash of promo tees he had made for his blog.

However he DID refer to her as his GF during the sexy times phone call a couple of weeks before the murder, so........:waitasec:

His roommates recall he had several of those when he made his blog, he was marketing his website/blog and that he never made that for "her" specifically...

But to her that was the equivalent of a wedding ring

After the dinner, the couple went back to Burns' home and took a nap. When they awoke, things again got heated, he said. "She got on top of me pretty aggressively and we were kissing. She was right on top of me," Burns testified. He said this intimate encounter, like the previous one, stopped shortly after it began.

The prosecution then questioned Burns about Arias' strength, in an apparent effort to show she would have been strong enough to kill Alexander. Burns said she was fit and had "close to a six-pack."

"[She's] a lot stronger than she looks," Burns testified.

I also do NOT believe it was Jodi's decision, against Travis' wishes to move back to Yreka. None of that fits with her behavior or the relationship. I think she ran out of money and he insisted she move back due to her "psycho behavior".

Agreed. She ran out of $$ and Travis didn't offer to help her out.
I suspect he had helped her out in the past.

On a phone call (sex tape?) she mentions the upcoming D.C. trip and how she wants to go but no $$. She mentions it a couple of times. My guess is she was hoping he would offer to take her along.

She testified she went brunette March 20, 2008 in the evening, she was looking at a text message when she stated that.

M.E. said it is not his job to speculate on what came first, he said he thinks sliced throat, and whatever it was would have to leave him strength to then fend her off and get the defensive wounds to the hands. All sounds reasonable.

But get ready to keep wading through, the domestic violence expert witness who examined Jodi is taking the stand maybe this week and she will say Travis beat her abused her and she was trying to save her life and her behavior is consistent with that. I know that even before she testified basically (um, yes I am guessing but watch what she says, it will be that)

If she says it and she examined Jodi and says he abused her and this was a violent person and she was trying to save her life.

then I guess its over, she can go out and basically we should have been kinder to her???

After wading through another 27 pages of speculation about which came first, the gunshot or the knife, I think the only thing that will help is for forum members to pitch in and pool their funds and hire whatever renowned pathologist you believe will give the correct answer. Obviously Dr. Horn is not believed by a significant percentage of folks and I haven't seen that anyone else with medical examiner qualifications has opined here, so to put this all to rest, it's time to commit some money to the cause.

LOL, now you know you will... It's just what PI's do. My husband had his PI license for over 20 years after retiring from LE. Never stop questioning because the truth is there. And there is nothing wrong with questioning the ME because it's just an opinion. But it will be interesting to see what Jodi has to say. I can also understand why people think she shot him first and I agree it makes the most sense. But the ME is saying no. So let's see whether she tells her story to go along with what the ME is saying. Since both defense and the state seem to agree with the ME she'd be going against what the jury already accepted to say the shot came first. Should be interesting....if we ever get there. At this point Jodi could die of natural causes before she ever gets off that stand. The jury has to be getting tired of her by now. jmo

It will be interesting to hear what she says, but IMO, I think she will lie no matter what the truth is and say GSW first. She wants her crime to *appear* more humane. We are getting days upon days of chatty drivel with attempts to throw in weak examples of mental, physical, and sexual abuse, topped by a "more humane" GSW first.

I am glad she is charged with 1st degree and felony murder. I hope it is enough to corner her into LWOP at the very least.

Travis roommate Zack said he spoke to Ariass shortly after the murder and was she was so calm ,collected, didnt show much emotion...And she colored her hair brunette...Zack was stunned by her behavior

Jodi's lack of a plan AFTER the killing itself is amazing. She goes through the trouble to steal a gun, borrow gas as, dye her hair, rent the car, shut off her cell phone etc.
But once she kills Travis (without wearing gloves) she really had no plan. She did get rid of the gun, knife and her clothing. Then she left him a voice mail on the way to Nevada. The crime scene itself however....palm print, hair, she didn't stage it as if there had been a burglary ...she even left his camera. Not sure how she expected to get away with this killing!

Her wordiness gives away her insanity. Since 2008, I have written a blog that documents the lies and mental illness of a well known female politician. I'm also working on a book. This woman has the same exact speech patterns. We call it "word salad" -- rambling, misused words, nonsensical word order, using 558 words when she could have used 10. I have been told by several experts that this speech pattern is a sign of a narcissistic sociopath and/or borderline personality disorder. I have learned to spot it very easily now. And Jodi has it!
