** The Journal *** I have this really bad feeling about the journal
Jodi claims the journal went with her everywhere she went, presumably to Traviss house as well. She also claims Travis had done his own snooping on occasion.
I have this bad feeling that defense strategy may change their tack to claim that Jodi wrote her journal entries with either the hope or expectation that Travis might read it --and thats why she never wrote anything bad about abuse or pedophile activities. Their point: her journal cannot corroborate the abuse because she wrote her entries in part for Traviss benefit.
What really bothered me was the laissez faire way in which she wrote about Travis going on his 2nd date with Mimi. *I* wouldnt have been so nice in *my* journal.* Instead and I would have had really bad names to use for both parties, yet she writes about how she loves him. She doesnt say that she loves him and is tormented by him seeing other women she simply says she loves him and he had a great date with Mimi. NOT NORMAL.
Its almost as if she wrote it with the thought that Travis might read it and see how much she loves him and how flexible and understanding she was ie., marriage material. Frankly, her journal entries really bother me they are not negative at all, even when the nasty texts Travis sent surely warranted some normal venting on her part. -Nothing- I really do thing the journal was faked to make her look good to Travis. And the defense can use the resulting output to their benefit.
I thought Nurmi said she did not have lunch for the last 2 days. Has it been since the trial started?

I have wavered through the years over the Death Penalty, but I must say in this case, this was so horrible, such a rage jealous brutal over-killing that I am solid on my opinion of her being a very dangerous person with no feelings. No feelings for anyone but herself. I feel certain put her in her cell with many medications that would easily give her a painless death and she won't take them. She does not want to go anywhere.
If today is the day Juan gets to the murder, and the evidence photos of the murder, I think we will all hear a lot of different variations of"I don't remember" from Jodi. I also expect her to cry, and this would be a time when she might dissolve into shaking sobs and need a recess to compose herself (delay and buy time).
It will be a tough day for the family of Travis, but JM needs to give Jodi many opportunities to say she "doesn't remember" so this is burned into the brain of every juror, IMO.
And then drive home the "fugue state" driving in the desert, and the Costco bottled water sponge bath to clean up the blood, followed by grinding the new man in the LoveSac. AND the calls and VM to Travis' cell phone AFTER she knew he was dead at her hands.
The jury hopefully will be as sickened as we all are.
Smile and say cheese, Jodi. It's time for your close up. There is nothing to be sad about, right?
I dont think he has done one thing wrong. He lets her explain because each and everytime she does she reveals another lie.
Priceless

That was one of the words that had never come out of my mouth

That is it. Pull the plug. Such a waste. The only thing I would like to discover would be is she a product of her up bringing or just a bad apple, just a freak on nature? Where was this behavior learned?
And just to finish my thoughts which didn't seem to fit my previous post...
Jodi's reality, imo, is indeed that she felt compelled to murder Travis. But not in self-defense. I believe she felt forced to kill him because not only had he rejected her - he'd also likely seen her 'true' psychopathic self. Almost nothing else scares a psychopath, but if their mask slips and people see how very inhuman they are they panic.
But Jodi's reality won't get her out of prison. So she has to take her reality - the entitled, justified murder of Travis in her mind - and squeeze, bend and shape it to make it fit THE reality. That's where all the psychopathic manipulations come into play...forging letters, witness tampering, gaslighting, obfuscation, deception, manipulation, etc. I'm quite certain we've only hit the tip of the iceberg in that regard too. We may never know all of Jodi's machinations.

Can we all agree that this girl doesn't have all her marbles? Does she deserve to die?
Jodi cannot admit to jealousy. That would be admitting that every man isn't HOT for her. She is beautiful and desired, don't ya know?
:floorlaugh:
I've been rereading Jodi's 2011 plea offer and it is sickening. I don't know how to copy it but to paraphrase JA offers to plead to 2nd degree, with a sentence of 10 to 20 years. AND, she does this out of sympathy for the Alexander family.
'Ms. Arias takes this position knowing that she could in fact receive a more favorable verdict at trial while at the same time cognizant of the pain...............'
And, later it states:
'...........because she has grave regrets for the falsehoods she told the media after Mr. Alexander's death........'

Does anyone know what 'falsehoods' they are referring to? TIA
