Well she seems to be learning prison ways well, given her attempts with smuggling info/contraband.

yes, a true sociopath, knows the system back and forth, immediately looks for ways to exploit and use to advantage.

Jodi is so inappropriate on the stand, but several times really stick out to me. The first being when her own attorney made a comment about her and Travis' relationship over, she snapped her head around "over"? Like she had been kicked in the gut Another incident was when Juan was questioning her about Travis and a young lady on the couch and she was "peeking" in. She was so evasive until he said you said they were making out, again she snaps to attention and says "YES, they were definitely making out" with such pleasure...it was so weird to me. Like somehow the fact that he was making out is going to make the jury think he is a sexual pervert. I know I prob did not express this well but I know what I am trying to say...LOL....both times were just so weird to me. She thinks she still should be able to control Travis and how everyone still feels about their relationship
She seemed not even the least bit fazed when JM inquired as to her having had sex after leaving Travis dead in the shower. "I'm single" (to paraphrase) was such a wild, whacked out response...especially after realizing that she had blood on her hands. Oh, yeah, she was trying to behave normally. You got that right, Jodi...perhaps not normal...but definitely more of the same.

No, Juan stated they *did* make it to Ann. She did receive the mags. That much was clearly stated.
Well, then we know now why Ann left the courtroom, right?

A lot of people criticized Juan for being somewhat disorganized in his line of questioning. It struck me as such last night as well.

But your comment revealed something to me. I think this non-linear line of questioning is very intentional. That seems evident in the severe way he tripped her up yesterday.

I think Juan knows that Jodi is an exceptional and gifted liar who (unlike Casey) can construct very intelligent an well thought out lies *very* quickly on her toes *IF* and only if she can see where the *ultimate* accusation is heading. Otherwise, you can see she stumbles over her answer when she knows she's not sure what the ultimate point is and she's very hesitant to *commit* herself to an answer - which is a telling sign that her answer is purely conditional and NOT based on the truth.

We saw yesterday her frustrated look of confusion as she would stall on an answer because she knew Juan had an agenda she couldn't see past and she was very leery of the answer she was committing to.

The reason why she can't see past his agenda is because she has her LIE memorized as a chronological story. She had her script with Nurmi memorized as a chronology - it may have appeared to flow out of order to give the appearances of having validity but in reality she knew what day every question would be asked and had already memorized the flow of answers. We saw this when she would pause and wait on Nurmi. So her direct examination was still based on her memory of chronology.

**Why is this important? Because its the way the brain works when we are lying. Lying is very complicated so we need chronology to help us keep the details straight as we play the story out in our heads and fill in the blanks with fabricated details. Essentially lying requires one to "comport the facts to the evidence" as Jodi herself testified. On the flip side when you are telling the TRUTH you do not need the aid of chronology because the facts ate the facts are the facts, whether you tell them forward, backwards, or out of order. The answer would always be the same at any singled out point in time.

Juan knows this. So he is stripping the advantage of chronology from Jodi's toolbox and his "disorganized" attack is throwing her off his trail. She can't predict where he's headed so she's screwing up her answers and displaying her lack of confidence in her own account of things.

Jmo, but I truly think Juan is being very intentional about this approach.

I think I want to have his love child. (j/k)

Great Post. I agree, but I do think when he finally catches her like the magazine catch. He needs to stop and really hammer it home what was just proved. Let jury know what was just proved. Then go on to next wave of attack. He lost a lot of people when he immediately jumped to next point he was trying to make.

this link will give you context. She thinks she landed a big blow. Her attorney objected quickly for sidebar because I'm sure JM next question would have been "what is so funny to you, NOW, Ma'am"?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bPblAAlOx0&feature=youtu.be&t=39m2s

It's in the 1st minute with context.

She actually starts laughing when JM starts whispering at her. Right after she says "Those sort of factors" JM WHISPERS "Ma'am..." and she starts to laugh. Nurmi immediately objects. If it's not turned up loud enough, people might miss it. It's actually pretty funny... Go Juan!!!

I wish JM would play that snippet for JA on Monday to refresh her ever failing memory then ask her if she also laughs and smirks while her brain is being scrambled. I didn't see any shaking like a chihuahua going on --- just a psycho trying to one up JM.

IMO

I have to disagree. Jodi was very much into sex with Travis and judging from the tape and her comments on the stand yesterday, I don't think she saw anything degrading in it at all, for herself or TA. Her claims of she only did it to "please him" are pure bull! If she was only "acting" on that sex tape, then she needs an Academy Award for Best Actress EVER in the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 business. She was freaking totally INTO it. She was jealous and flipped when TA started to reject her for other women in his life.

I believe that all the props were Jodie's idea and she continued to lure Travis with sex.

I'm so glad Juan brought up the finger issue early, though the picture he used was a bit ambiguous. More importantly was him reminding the jury of what Jodi told Flores concerning this left finger. He got her to admit that she gave at least two different accounts about how this injury was sustained and that no one knew about it until AFTER Travis's murder. Another important and damaging point was her journal which made no mention of this event with Travis that caused the injury. As she said, nothing noteworthy happened on that day. And it's not like she was living with him or bound to him financially. She was SINGLE, living with someone else, and yet zero mention of this in her personal diary.

Sure she'll make up some lame excuse ("I took my diary everywhere", "Travis liked to look at it on occasion", etc) but taken together, one can only conclude that she is lying about the finger.

And it was present clear back to when she was disciplined by her mom and dad. When asked what she felt after her mom swatted her with the wooden spoon she replied' betrayed'. I can imagine that is spot on. Betrayed but not heart broken. Betrayed and enraged.

IMO Jodi's 'nature' is unable to bend or adept. She was on a singular course to get the best life she could by attaching herself to a person already enjoying it. Unfortunately, Travis Alexander, was the richest Jodi had run into and Jodi was determined to be married, soon.

Yes, and a doctor on Nancy Grace said her use of the word "betrayed" onu proved that her child abuse story was a fabrication. Because "betrayed" is the correct clinical *expected* response of a normal person who has not been abused. "Ashamed" is the most commonly reported answer when a true abuse victim is asked how the beating made them feel. "Ashamed" or "guilty" or "i felt like I deserved it". NOT betrayed. That is the correct answer IF you're not chronically abused.

Just in case this hasn't been addressed yet, ja taking her glasses off to read is very normal for those of us that are extremely near sighted. I can read much better without my bifocals than with them. Before I got bifocals I had no choice but to take them off to read.

Beth is doing a glorious job today. She is playing Nurmi's direct on issues, such as the pop-rock escapade and then going over video from cross on the same issue. Then there is discussion.

I'm DVR'ing it as well to watch it in more depth and without commercials over the weekend!

I think Ann Campbell was Jodi's pigeon!

She used and manipulated Campbell just like every other person. She needed a pigeon to get messages to the outside since calls and visits are monitored.

Jodi's mother and aunt are like 5th grade girls who love to whisper with one another and giggle while they're making fun of another classmate. Their courtroom behavior is despicable, and it's easy to see why Jodi is the way that she is. Rules don't apply to people like this because they believe themselves to be superior beings whose $#@% doesn't stink. :moo:

MOO 1st I would not stand by my child, that is just me and I know many don't agree. I have 3 children and wrong is wrong and I wouldn't support them if they did something like this. 2nd if I was going to be there to watch my childs trial I would be a mess, a complete mess. JMO

Her private diary entry describing their "naughty sexual fantasies" and "fruitful imaginations" (note that she doesn't say HIS but WE and OURS) is all one needs to establish that their sex life was mutually enjoyable, where both parties were enthusiastic about the sex acts.

And didn't that entry post-date the anal rape she described on the witness stand -- the one where she stated that she felt like a used piece of toilet paper? Is that at all consistent with a real rape victim -- to enjoy exploring sexual fantasies with your rapist?

TA was not the only one she had anal sex with as evidenced by Abe last night on TV. He also said that the JA we saw on the stand yesterday was the real JA, not the innocent little girl that she has been trying to portray since the trial started.

  • #1,356
Oh gosh, I am so confused,,, I was just reading an article and realized I know very little about this case (other than JA is disgusting).

Is there another thread (besides trial coverage) I can look at to see the details (like timeline).

Thinking back about the Caylee case I cannot remember if trial stuff was with general stuff or 2 sep things.

Thanks all!!! :seeya:

That was an amazing "tell" on her. She got the taste of "blood" like an animal and she wanted to immdediately go out and get another gun and be ready to blast the next guy that gave her even the slightest wrongdoing in her eyes.

I am so glad she is locked up. Needs to stay there.

Imagine if she went on that trip with the guys. OMG. Some innocent guy could have tried to put his arm around her and she would have whipped out the gun and blasted him.

She was a loaded canon waiting to go off again. Keep her chained up like the animal she is.

She reminds me of that Aileen Wourmos. She was turning into her.

I felt badly for Aileen Wuornos, her miserable early life, being sexually abused and thrown out at a young age, her anguish at life. Yes, she murdered those men and she needed to be away from society but unlike Ms Three Stories later Wuornos admitted to the killings. IMO society failed to protect Aileen and bore some responsiblity for the result versus Arias and the path she choose as the one which would reward her the most with the least amount of work.

IMO Jodi is way more of a monster than Aileen ever was. I think Aileen still had a soul. I don't think Jodi ever has had one. JMO

BBM. that stunned me. she'd eliminated her problem. no more worrying about where TA is or who he's with. she took care of it and was starting with a clean slate.

really shocking answer to that question to me---and so revealing about how she thinks.

RE: JA looks down when lawyers are at sidebar

I think JA does this so she can block out as much as possible
and try to listen intently to what is being said between lawyers
and the judge. I think she's seeking feedback from her performance
and clues as to what she should say next - trying to push the envelope. JMO

MOO I have 3 children and wrong is wrong, however, I can't imagine NOT being there for my child. I may not like what they did, but I still would love them no matter what. :twocents:
