Jose Baez Releasing New Book!!

OK. I hope I don’t shock you all too much with what I am about to say...but here goes. As you know, I have been a staunch hater of all things JB and FCA for almost 4 years now. I removed myself from posting for a good while after the horrendous travesty know as the “not guilty” verdict by the PinellasPinheads.

I watched JB last night, after vowing I would NOT, as I had delegated my DD to do the dirty deed and tell me about it. But alas, we both sat and watched it like a train wreck that couldn’t be passed up. The oddest thing happened. I didn’t feel hatred for him like I thought I would. My DD and I looked at each other and almost at the same time said.....”I don’t hate him”.

JB affirmed what I had said all along about the defense theory. It was a theory put together from all of the pieces and parts of the 3 year long investigation. He and team put together (concocted) a “story” that fit the evidence presented....a story that MOST people with two brain cells to rub together could see through. He managed to pull off the biggest upset in courtroom history, since OJ. By hook, crook or dumb luck...he did it. That was his job...and he did it. And love it or hate it, that is the job of a defense lawyer. That’s our justice system. I also think he has been to “smarmy school” because somehow, he didn’t smirk or act cocky....or show the behavior he exhibited throughout the trial that made me hate him so. So.....I will give him his due.

I also think he believes (knows) she did it. But his job as her defense attorney was not to “hold her accountable” for that. His job was to save her life. And that he did.

WITH THAT SAID....I will forever hold the accountability of the death of a beautiful young innocent child with CASEY ANTHONY. I will forever hold accountable the 12 jurors who were too lazy, inept and selfish to do THEIR JOB. I will forever believe that GA and CA aided in the “defense story” in the end. It was obvious at trial. It is obvious now. CA is still with GA. If she thought for ONE MOMENT GA had abused Casey, or killed Caylee, GA would not be walking around alive today. It was obvious that JB and Co. took the bizarre behavior of this obviously dysfunctional family and used it to their advantage.

As my daughter pointed out in the first few minutes of the program last night, it was Casey’s bizarre behavior that gave them their defense. If none of the “circus” antics that took place for 3 years had ever happened, and the focus had only been on June 16 - the date Caylee died, perhaps without all of the obfuscation a clear picture of those events could have been presented. But instead, the waters were muddied, and that mud was used to Casey’s advantage. How DO you explain her behavior??? You can’t. Psychiatrists couldn’t. So what do you do? You make up a story that “excuses” that bizarre behavior, proven by the behavior of the parents for 3 years.

I have a lot more to say....but I won’t!!! Love to all my WS friends.

However, I can't agree with you. My job is to make my company money. However, I have to follow a code of ethics to do it. Period. An attorney is no exception. There are principles and rules for them as well. No pass from me. Jose is a liar and what he did in court was WRONG and not at all what the judical system should be all about.

I thought one of his most ridiculous statements was the one he made when LE was first interviewing her before she was charged. He and Dr. Drew were talking about mental conditions so Baez said it should have been obvious FCA was not the common type of person who committed crimes - not a hardened criminal or a drug addict - so they should have found a counsellor to talk to this young complulsive liar, cheque fraud and child murdering person. Right.....uh Baez? She had a psychological assessment when she was charged - remember???

Talk about a sleazy attorney, JB said one of the first things he did was hire an ethics attorney. Now what honest attorney would ever think about needing to do that? That tells me that he knew sooner or later he could be crossing that line. Probably this was done as soon as he met FCA and heard her BS or when they first thought about trying to sell the pictures.

First thanks for your thoughts - and I agree - I don't hate Baez either. But I have no respect for a lawyer who floundered around for three years, allowed - no ordered the investigation of many innocent people, who paraded in front of the media constantly, and who at the last minute threw a defense together and got lucky with a jury who weren't prepared to do the job required. And then presents himself as a skilled litigator. Phttttttt!

BBM - only one option of sentencing included taking her life. Life without parole could have saved her life also, along with any of the lessor charges.

BBM#2 - no they can't - at least the ones you find and pay to testify for you because they have no experience with her "issues". There are many out there who can explain her behavior very well.

All IMO of course. And I am envious of your level of disengagement at this point. But I have ever hated Baez - I just think he is dirt and should not be practising law.

:seeya:Nope, not shocked at all. But it is becomming somewhat evidently clear that things were based on what was observed, behavior, blah blah, in other words imo, it was all based on one huge lie. All it took was a bit of lie to mix in with truth and that's all they had to run with-on both sides.

I wasn't going to watch it, my DH wanted to, there was a bone of contention, but then reprieve when he thought he'd miss his Hawaii 5-0, until he switched on HLN and there it was at 6:21 pm.

See, I'll get myself into trouble now, but I'll try to say this as nice as I can. How do we honestly know that Caylee died on June 16th? We do not and neither does JB or anybody else. Because GA said he saw them walk out on the 16th together? That only supports what FCA said in part about taking Caylee to Sawgrass or to the park or pick a spot, any spot, which was a lie. I'm sorry, but nobody told much of the truth, but both sides had to go on some things to try and tie this all together-imo it still isn't as cut and dry, but that's what it is because that's the way it played itself out, based on things said which were probably 90% non truths. That's all anyone had to go on and that's what we are all left with-unfortunately. Nobody can put their finger exactly on what happened, but there was enough BS spread around to confuse everyone and that's what the goal was, after the fact.

I watched a bit of JB on Dr. D this morning and totally forgot how he makes my head spin trying to make heads or tails as to what he is saying.

As for the photo, could the jurors have asked to see the original photo. You could tell that it was stretched.

We know the car stayed until the 30th, we know this-Trust me when I say, I'm not defending FCA one bit, nor her attorneys, but yet there will always be a lot of those darn grey areas, June 16th will always stick out as the date used, but was it actual or was that an actual lie? It upsets me a great deal, especially when I start thinking again of all the little things that were said, like when they all claimed Caylee went missing on June 8, 9-then we have a pretty obvious attempt of making a phony call to the tipline by an anonymous observer, who was actually CA saying in 3rd person speak that FCA was at Mom's on the 12th-why the need to go so far out of the realm to do this? There's no need to rehash anything anymore-except, I do wish there was a way to knock the actual real truth out of one of them-'the truth' is what they made it-according to them, doesn't mean the actual truth though. Imo, they made complete fools out of a lot of people where it mattered the most and turned their backs on an innocent child---and now, to this day, it is still about FCA and Co.

Thanks for bringing this up. I went on a search last night to find this ethical attorney he spoke of and once again my light bulb went off, imo, it seems maybe? that JB got some information from one of the attorneys when he had to answer to some of the many 'disputes' filed aginst him. I don't think he had one around all the time, for if he did, he would have had to be told time and time again how to behave in a courtroom.:maddening:

I also think it is possible she was murdered on the 15th after the fight between Casey and Cindy.

The circumstantial evidence was there - the forensic evidence was there. fca didn't get away with murdering Caylee because JB is a whiz kid. My very 1st impression was that it did happen on the 15th, I went as far as to think this fight was going on, Caylee being afraid and going to the pool unseen by both CA and FCA, maybe them thinking she was in her bed or FCA's bed-I remember one of the neighbors saying she saw FCA going at it with CA outside, wasn't sure of the date, but that FCA went for a jog afterwards. I even thought CA had a moment of sheer madness and did this because of the way she was being treated for at least a week-she was angry about her birthday, blah, blah. To this day, I just cannot fathom all the stories, it's a beyond terrible thing. I just wish someone would come clean, but too late for that now. Sorry, I'm in tears now all over again, it's just beyond anything I've ever seen and I hope none of us ever have to witness such a thing again.
