The fact that we can't at least listen to audio of the closing arguments is infuriating.

JMO.
Your emoji is a little to bright for such a dimwit.

A lot has happened over 10 days of testimony here at the #PatrickFrazee trial.

On Friday, a surprise witness testified that Frazee asked him to kill Krystal Lee and other witnesses set to testify at trial.

I have been quietly following along as much as I can here, I was out of town the past few days and I'm trying so hard to catch up!

I simply cannot believe this idiot. Just when you thought he couldn't get any dumber!

And the defense put on... no case at all? Am I reading that right?

You cannot make this up. Unreal.

First degree murder - quickly. That's my bet.

  • #723
I'm behind, but add me in. Guilty, 1st degree.

Guilty on all counts is my vote. MOO

Also, so curious what the defense will say. It sounds like the prosecution closing was pointed and perfect!

A person could write about their experiences in law enforcement, send it off to Hollywood, and Hollywood would send it back with a rejection note saying "You can't just make things up; it's got to be believable."
This case would make a great book, but it would be so difficult to write and not have it sound like a comedy.

Patrick Frazee trial: 'Sick plot' resulted in fiancee's brutal death by baseball bat, prosecutor says
Patrick Frazee had one thing on his mind last Thanksgiving as he ran errands with the mother of his child, prosecutors say — and it wasn’t a holiday dinner.

“While Kelsey Berreth is planning a future, the defendant — this man, this man — is plotting her death,” said prosecutor Beth Reed, jabbing her finger in the defendant's direction during closing remarks at his nationally watched trial.

"The evidence is compelling. It is overwhelming, and the defendant is guilty."

[...]

“Do not check reckless manslaughter!” Reed barked as she encouraged the panel to convict Frazee, 33, of the top charge, with its automatic life sentence in prison.

Accusing Frazee of a long record of manipulation and lies, Reed frequently turned Frazee’s alleged words against him.

When one of Frazee’s friends suggested the missing Berreth might resurface, Frazee allegedly told her, “She’s never coming back,” Reed reminded the jury.

To a different friend, Frazee allegedly said he knew the secret to murder, reportedly telling him, "No body, no crime."

And when Frazee arrived late to his home on the holiday, he felt sorry for himself for having to celebrate under a cloud, she said.

“You know how hard it was to eat Thanksgiving Dinner while Kelsey’s in the truck?” Reed said, quoting words attributed to him by his mistress, Krystal Lee, who say Berreth's remains were in a plastic storage bin in the truck bed.

[...]

Reed reminded the jury of Berreth’s unforgettable final words, as related by Lee: “Please stop.”

I need to get dressed and ready to go to a doctor visit, but I don't want to step away from the computer. Praying for justice for Kelsey.

I meant to write the time down of the last tweet on closing - trying to see how long the defenses takes for their argument(s).

How can they be deliberating, the charges haven't even been given by the judge? HUH?????? What happened to the accounting of the defense?

I'm confused... did I miss a few pages of the thread?

  • #738
Yay!!!!!!!!!

They’re deliberating so soon .... I love it! I hope the jurors feel our support and prayers that they come to a wise decision.

I don't recall having heard this before, either! Makes me wonder if it is an entirely accurate quote, to be honest.

  • #740
Defense didn't have much to say I guess. I hope PF is getting LWOP. Keeping fingers crossed for guilty on all counts.
