If there is one thing I have learned from this site, it is if I ever kill someone and dispose of a body, leave my cell phone home! Not that I ever plan on it.

But then we will know it was premeditated.

Only if it's like a news network, I think... otherwise you have to give us a hint of where we might find interesting comments.

REQUIRED to give us hints?

“The BearCat G3 claims the vast majority of armored personnel carrier sales to SWAT teams in the United States. Fashioned from a Ford F-550 commercial truck chassis, Massachusetts-based Lenco builds about 200 such vehicles in year, in grades from "VIP SUV" to combat-ready with gun turrets. The massive roller is actually a smaller version of the BEAR, or Ballistic Engineered Armored Response vehicle, which Lenco builds for armies and law enforcement agencies around the world.

Anytime there's a public shooting or standoff in an urban area, chances are a BearCat will be on the scene. It has option controls for battering rams, winches and even surviving a chemical weapons attack. With military-grade armor and the ability to take repeated hits from bullets up to .50 caliber, it's most frequently used as a rolling shield....

The other reason for its popularity? Thanks to the U.S. government, most police departments now get their BearCats free.

In the wake of Sept. 11, Congress and Presidents Bush and Obama dramatically boosted Homeland Security spending; the Department of Homeland Security now hands out more than $3 billion a year in grants to boost anti-terrorism tools around the country. The Lenco BearCat — which starts at about $190,000 and can top $300,000 with options — can easily qualify as a necessary tool under several different grant programs, from disaster response to crime fighting.”

This is one of the things they mean when they talk about the militarization of local police forces. Most local LE agencies have stuff that will give you nightmares to think about.

I don’t know if this has been discussed (probably and I missed it). Does the park have a gate with a camera? My local wildlife park in Houston you pay to get in and then you get “checked out” of the park. There is a gate on the way out, with a camera and after a moment or two they will open the gate to let you out. I’m assuming it’s so they know at the end of the day who should be left in the camping areas and who should be out. I don’t think there is a gate on the way in. I’ve been there a half dozen times, you would think I would know. Now there are other ways in from personal properties surrounding the park but for the people who abide the rules, there is only one way in and out. Not sure how long they keep the records but if it’s there it may be why they are searching there. Other parks I’ve been to you pay your day fee in an envelope and write your license plate down. Now that I think about that was a park in KS a few years ago.

Someone asked about paying at these parks earlier. I don’t think it was ever answered.

No- you don’t pay at these parks. You also don’t get admission tickets. There might be brochures in the Great Plains nature center but I never go inside the building. Someone else may need to enlighten us on that part.

Just a thought please delete if need be. What about the possibly of a family member of the bio mom, dad or SM knowing the abuse is happening and knowing that

dcf isn't doing anything. So this person (maybe even a family friend) couldn't take knowing he was being abused and took him not realizing she would call the

cops so fast and they are panicking. Or maybe they stopped by to confront the SM about abuse, got there and saw that he had very recently been abused

freaked out and took him.

I'm reaching at theories because i want this sweet angel to be alive.
:please:

I always have hope. If I’m still on WS in 20 years I will still have hope for these babies. Statistically I understand the odds but I always hope. [emoji169]

I'm not ruling out any of those things just yet- those botanical references may very well tie in with that tip, and even possibly confirm there is something significant in one of those parks.

I agree! :thumb:

I find this very interesting that the police say there are " No signs of an abduction" which is why there was no Amber Alert.
Yet they say family is cooperating with the investigation.
I wonder who they consider family.
Blood relatives, 'step mom'?
If there are no signs of an abduction what does that tell us?

Not sure about drugs or weapons sells but those things could happen there.

Never seen a Food Truck or Ice Cream Truck there. Food Trucks usually stay close to business areas so they can get a lot of people on their lunch breaks.

Generally when I have been there the adults with the small kids are usually very good about keeping an eye on them. Sure it could happen but I think many adults who wouldn't keep a good eye on the kid aren't taking them to parks to begin with.

A lot of the sexual activity that goes on at parks are people getting together off of dating sites or college kids meeting at parties. They like eachother enough to mess around a bit but don't necessarily want to go home/take them home just yet. So a park ends up being a happy medium. Infact on a lot of women's profiles on dating sites when they answer the question of what they like to do on a first date many of them will say taking a walk through the park.

wow!

"Taking a walk through the park" is going to have a WHOLE' 'nother meaning to me now... KWIM?

Lucas’ dad spoke with CrimeOnline News for this article:
“The boy’s dad said Lucas was shy and soft-spoken and generally would not approach strangers. He also told CrimeOnline that Lucas has a speech impediment and although it may be difficult for people who don’t know him to understand his speech, the boy is capable of communicating and calling out for help.”

Quite possible. In a later post I surmised "someone" may have withheld that info from police, after getting a tip from another person as well.

Gotcha! :thumb:

I tell people that after being on this site, there are several ways to hide your body

My family already looks at me strangely without me throwing that line out there!

Bringing forward my post from upstream re: forensic botany for discussion if anyone is interested, (what is unique to a park around there?), as I've been thinking along the same lInes, even before the search of the second park yesterday:

Yesterday, 10:27 AM:

"In addition to a tip, camera, ping, etc leading them to this location, I was thinking maybe something applicable to forensic botany (as they call it), certain type of soil, leaf...something specific to that "nature preserve"...maybe even a type of animal feces or hair...perhaps there were muddy shoes at the house....samples of course would take time to be sent off/ analyzed in a lab etc so perhaps not likely, unless it was something quite obvious, or they had such immediate lab resources available.

The reason I think of this specifically is because of a "Forensic Botanist" in Colorado I saw on TV. She is part of a genius group, forgot their name, who goes out to help recover remains in cold cases, iirc. She was able to locate a body waaay up in a mountain due to isolating a specific type of Aspen tree that only grew there. Iirc, there was something about the way the sun would face in order to facilitate the growth of this particular tree, hence isolating the direction/ spot on the side of the mountain of the remains."

"I'm noting that in this day of modern technology, and the resources assigned and available here, someone can take a cell picture of a leaf, have it immediately sent out."

Eta:

Some kind of paving, gravel...?

Maybe look at the particular landscaping, botany, etc of those parks maybe.

So what do the GP Nature Preserve and Grove Park have in common that maybe other places don't have? And if there is something, where else close by does it exist?
Haven't read to the bottom yet so this may have been mentioned...
but thinking some kind of foliage found under the car?
ETA Prob. nothing blooming up there yet?

About those 'tips' to police about the parks.....

I am wondering , since they are close to the old address, if maybe SM used to take the kids to those parks. Especially if her boys were visiting. Who wants to stay inside with 3 young boys?

Maybe locals had seen her at those parks previously, and reported it to the tip line?

Hi all, been following from the beginning and joining in now.
A couple things I’m curious about:
-Since this new move, were either one or both of the gf’s boys ever over for a visit?. I think it was mentioned they are 7 and 9 in age, Didn’t a neighbour say she noticed a child with gf doing garden work?)
- About the gardening, isn’t it an odd time of year there to be working in a garden? Especially if you just moved in?

I thought the same thing. I know they had Kansas tags. I have a picture that I took personally ... not sure if I’m allowed to post it?
