This is a remarkable comment. They must have found foot prints far enough apart to indicate the person was running. They didn't indicate size of footprint, or where they were found, although we could possibly assume one of the parks they listed at the top of the article (Dr. Glen Dey Park, Harrison Park, and Chisholm Creek Park). ALso, Lucas's footprints, or an adult? hmmmmm

Didn’t even think that it could have been SM running without shoes on.....

http://ksn.com/2018/02/20/police-plan-more-searches-in-case-of-missing-5-year-old-boy/ I've noticed in this article that LE is still asking the public to report if they saw someone running without shoes on. Would they continue to ask the public for this info. if they didn't think that Lucas got out of the house on his own? I would think this would make it alot harder to sort through tips if LE doesn't expect this to be the case. Also, I'm wondering if maybe they found evidence of someone searching parks on their cell phone or computer in recent days. All IMO.

Here's the quote:
“If you saw someone running with no shoes on a couple day ago or saw something suspicious, saw something out of place that they think might be related to this case, please call us, the tip line again 383-4661, those tips are invaluable, those tips are helping us in our investigation,” said Davidson.

What a strange thing to say! He doesn't say "if you saw a little boy" running without shoes. If you saw "someone" running without shoes makes it sound like an adult. I don't know what to make of that statement. Did they find barefoot tracks in the backyard or something?

Someone earlier said they saw a reporter post a picture of a bearcat at a park. And idea who that reporter was? Maybe we could reach out to them directly.

While looking to see if I could find the reporter, I came across this and thought everyone could use a giggle.

The last police car is leaving Grove Park, the second location where officers have been searching for missing 5-year-old Lucas Hernandez.

Ha, I just wrote close to the same thing before seeing your comment. Sometimes I swear we share a brain, Gigtu. :loveyou:

I’m so confused - I watched the briefings yesterday and the day before & don’t recall hearing Officer Davidson say this. In fact I’ve remarked on the lack of that kind of public plea. I watched the attached videos and don’t see him saying it in either one. Where am I missing this? It’s driving me bonkers!

None of the places they are searching are places Lucas could have gone to by himself. Just sayin'...

It's in the video at the attached link.

* is so much more confused than I usually am *

I'm terribly sorry. I've been in between computer conferences and back and forth to follow Lucas's trail. Can someone do a recap of initials as they pertain to this case? I am getting more and more confused as to who is who.

SM/EG - step mom
JH - father
JO - biological mom

I’m sure there are other initials out there I’m missing.. if you have specific ones you are questioning I can (hopefully) fill you in.

Do we have a map yet? If not, I will do one if someone can advise me on locations.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I found Dad's statement that, "This is a serious thing and we want him home..." to be really unsettling.

This is a serious thing?! You think?? Maybe I'm just jaded, but that seems like something you might say if you were trying to figure out what your take on a situation SHOULD be because in your heart you know that is not what the situation is. Does that make sense?

The quotation is from this article: http://abcnews.go.com/US/relative-missing-year-boy-signs-abuse-disappeared/story?id=53221227

I found that to be a rather odd statement, as well.

Kind of.... there are only 4 points on it and it hasn’t been bumped forward in awhile. If you want to redo one I’ll send you points.

There was talk about creating a map with our own points of interest... i don’t think that one ever happened but would be awesome. That way non locals could spit out ideas and us locals can go search.

Although this is my first post, I've been lurking for a bit. I think something or someone outside caught Lucas's attention. So much so, he didn't think about putting on shoes - he was excited! I think by the time he got the door opened, he had to run after it, or he may have lost sight of it and went looking for it. I think someone said there aren't any septic tanks in the neighborhood but what about other types of holes/enclosures? I think of Jessica McClure & the well. I think of the girl in AL that fell into & drowned in a grease pit. I think of the kid in SW VA that fell into a septic tank & wasn't found for days. Could there be old tanks that no one knows about or have been forgotten? Anything like that? As far as the SAR dog not hitting his scent, that's happened before, too. Where can Lucas be??

There is no explaining away the statement that the SM said he was missing at 3:00 pm but not reported until after 6:00.

Sounds like that would work best, with everyone able to contribute. If you can, that would be perfect. I'll get to it asap.
