Beth - yes, that "falls could either be" does sound clunky and wrong.

It's like she's telling us those things happened, but is backing away from owning that it happened on her watch... Making it theoretical instead of actual.

Or does this mean there were burns at some point?
Well how about that 1 part during the interview when she said they would get rug burns when playing "rough" in the house?! Did she throw that in there bc of the story that came out about her dragging Lucas across the floor?

If Lucas had drowned in the bathtub, would dogs be able to pick up the scent?

Glad you saw it too! It’s not a natural way to speak, and to me indicates deception, discomfort, something.

I am back to a woman running barefoot.
Do we know what road this occurred on?
That seems like a logical area to search.
Here's the link with a snippet:

"We're still searching for a missing, five-year-old, little boy," Officer Davidson said. "That's why we continue to plea and ask our community, if they saw somebody running with no shoes on a couple days ago, or they saw something suspicious, something out of place that might be related to this case, please call us."

So "somebody"

I've forgotten if it was stated but I know it was a nice day when Lucas went missing.
What was the forecast on the news for the upcoming days?
Was it well-known that bad weather was coming very soon?
just thinking and jmo

Could she have been running after the baby girl, who is over the age of one? Maybe SHE got out the back door that afternoon, and EG ran after her barefoot.

This. I keep coming back to the seemingly strange fact that WE at least have no knowledge of them towing cars or being interested much in the cars (unless I’ve missed that which is possible but it’s such a big indicator, IMO). Do we have any hard confirmation that cadaver dogs were brought through the house? Because if they were and they didn’t hit on the house nor the car, I’m very agreeable to the idea that whenever happened didn’t happen there, and that transport didn’t involve the car (unless it involved a car we don’t know about that has yet to be brought to light and searched.

Also, regarding her interview. Her statement is very odd in regards to the falls, saying “falls could either be cooking dinner...or at the park”. Could either be? This is not a normal speech pattern when recounting past events, IMO. This is giving examples of how something COULD happen but not how something DID. Am I making sense? Just look at “falls could either be”, focus on that and try to use that naturally in recalling past situations. It’s not adding up for me, right there. One might be more likely to say, IMO, for example, “he has fallen while cooking dinner, or at the park”.

I realize we don't know everything that LE did at the house when she reported Lucas missing. They could have clues that she took him to a park.

I agree as to listening to her interview there are probably clues within her statements.

I guess time will tell.

Lets find Lucas today!

Wow, I can't tell you how many times me or mine have fallen while cooking dinner.

NOT.

I always thought LE was trying to verify EG’s story of searching for Lucas when she woke from her “nap.” MOO

Slightly OT, but in the previous thread (I believe), someone (my apologies, I cannot remember who) had posted screen grabs of a large portion of the papers filed by EG's ex about the abuse by JH on the 4th. Can we add those to the top of the threads for easy reference? I wasn't able to read them on my phone (zoom made them too blurry) and now that I'm back on my computer I can't remember where they were. If we can't add them to the top, would someone kindly re-post or send them to me? Please and thank you! <3

Exactly!
I was cooking dinner last night and realized I couldn't remember the last time anyone in my house had fallen while cooking dinner...

Wait wait I got it! Thanks to Josie, kadoober(is that right lol) and everyone else. Of course I'm not caught up so prob sounds like I'm stealing someone else's thoughts BUT speculation was phone pings at a park for the most part. However, we speculated on why else they would be searching there and I wondered if maybe one of the older boys had said something about Lucas going to the park and not coming home. They don't seem to think he was killed in the home apparently, they've searched parks, by her own words he falls down (not just while cooking dinner but where?) at the park... Why say that? It would eliminate the need for both a helper and for her to drive... So Either NOT at the searched parks, they weren't searched well enough or very NEARBY those parks.
Ugh wait no that wouldn't work. It would totally not fit with the story she's given and I think that's important. It's why I've been thinking all along that he'll be found close to home... So she can say see I TOLD you he walked out.
I don't "got it"
Carry on and disregard my ramblings

And I'm sorry for your pain Steels. Sad as it may sound, we can only HOPE she lovingly placed toys with him. I hurt for you.

If I may elaborate on this further, I was just thinking of two scenarios here-

The first, is maybe she wasn't with EG when Lucas went missing. Perhaps he was gone for a few days before it was reported, and she missed him so much, she went to look for him?

OR

Maybe she was with EG when they were in the park or woods somewhere, where she saw Lucas last, and maybe in her own little mind, she was trying to go there to find her brother?

This is just speculation and my thoughts and opinions, but it dawned on me that perhaps EG ran after her barefoot and found her in time before she got too far. They never stated if there was any children's footprints, eg, the baby's, to see if anyone remembers a woman chasing a toddler.

I remember that you mentioned this in the previous thread. When someone here posted photos of the house, I said out loud “Oh my!” when I saw the deck. Not likely though If scent dogs were brought in, but it made me pause for a minute. However, I think EG is too disorganized to take Lucas very far if she had anything to do with his disappearance. If she had help, it would be a different story. JMO

Yeah. I get what you're saying. I honestly just feel like he is somewhere SO obvious. Like, when he's found, everyone is gonna be like, "Duhhhhh. Why didn't we think of that?"
