in Sedgewick county you can take trash especially like old furniture to one of thentransfer stations. Wichita will occasionally do free coupons up to a certain amount especially after a bad storm that tears trees up. They did one last year I think. The website says to call for prices but the last time I went after cleaning out my garage it was $50/Ton

https://www.sedgwickcounty.org/environment/transfer-stations/

Yes you can, but I will just tell you, they look at what you drop off after you drive away! But seriously, it’s not super common anymore for people to do that so the transfer station employees would remember a woman (especially if she’s young and marginally attractive) dropping stuff off. They also weigh it and handle the stuff because people will try to throw away things they aren’t supposed to. I think it’s much more likely, if she did dispose of Lucas in the trash, that it was at an apartment dumpster. I just have a feeling that isn’t where he is tho. For whatever it’s worth.

One thing to look for is a missing blanket. Lucas' or another one that might have been in a closet.

And you know, maybe something that's been in the car for a long time, but is now suddenly missing.

I’ve been meaning to make a list. There are quite a few in the area.

Not just vacant and abandoned (although that's what I picture) but also any new construction going on? I'm asking a question not meaning for you to list everything out. Someone also mentioned a lot of abandoned barn type buildings but I'm guessing none within walking distance?

Can anyone confirm that Harry street changes to SW 110th Street going out toward Augusta....

but then it deadends???? See second pic....

Its right at the 30 minute mark.....

Anyone up for checking it out or know anything about this area?

ESO, what does your gut tell you?

Now that we've narrowed down the timeframe to late the 16th to maybe wee morning hours on the 17th, I'm starting to wonder if he isn't possibly in someone's backyard. Just thinking out loud...

Nothing of value to add. I just wanted to say that I continuously think about Lucas and won't stop until he's found. My deepest thoughts and sympathies are with those who love him. I don't think it's a stretch to say that his precious smile has touched us all.

"We don't sugarcoat anything, if Lucas is found he certainly is not going to be found the way we want him to be found, and I think the most we can hope for right now is to one day very soon go to a funeral," says Miller.

The Texas EquuSearch founder says weather did hamper some of their efforts Monday. The strong wind was an obstacle that kept their drone grounded. However, they did search and were mapping areas of interest.

That first statement I bolded above- I think most of us felt this way from the start, but it saddens me to know that not only LE knows he's not alive, but even Tim Miller doesn't believe so, either. They're the experts, they're closest to the evidence and know things we don't. Heartbreaking to see it there in print, but unfortunately, right from the start, I felt he wasn't with us anymore. :(

The second statement explained why the drones weren't used today- so for those who were wondering why they didn't use them and wanted to know if they planned to- Tim explained the weather prevented them from using them today.

It's the same article that was posted earlier, but these two quotes stood out to me.

When a friend of mine (amazing hearted woman I met searching for another missing man in Wichita) and I searched that culvert thingy by the hotel and insurance company, I saw a guy out doing yard work. I asked him if he had seen LE checking the construction dumpsters by the hotel and then if LE had knocked on his door. He told me no to both and then asked me where Lucas went missing from...so it is possible.

County tax records on a government site?

Without going into details, we really need to have the land owners check their properties if at all possible. There have been 2 articles about the request, but it needs to happen soon.

The family has had a very rough 24 hours. As you can imagine, in situations like this people reach a breaking point - especially with all of the negativity targeting the family.

We’re going to talk to the family again in the morning. It looks like I may be heading to Wichita soon.

From a sleuthing standpoint, I would focus on late Friday afternoon into the early morning hours of Saturday. Lucas would have been transported when it was dark outside.

Lucas had been sick for close to two weeks before he “went missing.” He had a stomach bug the first week and had been very sick. I would imagine his already fragile 45 pound body would have been in a much more compromised state.

Tim was correct when he compared EG to Casey Anthony. I’ve been thinking of Casey’s actions and patterns of behavior - I even watched a show about the case today.

I’ll check back in tomorrow. Thanks for your excellent posts!

Wait. Have they really not searched any landfills? Do we know that for sure? I would think that would have been one of the first places LE would check. Sometimes even in so-called "runaway" cases we hear about landfill searches, just to make sure.

I have thought about the container idea. But I don't know how much weight EG could lift or how much she'd be willing to lift. I was thinking about the blue plastic barrels from the Stacy Peterson case, but those are quite large.
I don't know where all LE/FBI have searched. But this is somewhat interesting:

snippet--
"The Texas EquuSearch founder, Tim Miller, says he can't say where they are searching because of the Wichita Police investigation."
Unfortunately he also said this:
"We don't sugarcoat anything, if Lucas is found he certainly is not going to be found the way we want him to be found, and I think the most we can hope for right now is to one day very soon go to a funeral," says Miller."
I know he knows what he's talking about all too well but :tears:.

I have always thought this happened at night. I think with what little EG has said, you have to take everything she says as very purposeful. The pull-up detail to me has been because she knows Lucas will be found wearing one. And since most kids only use those at night, she has to explain it before it’s discovered. She needs police to think this happened during the day and not at night. I think he’s either just outside the city limits along side a dirt road in a field, or he’s close to one of the many fishing ponds that are close to parks. They are open 24/7 and are secluded. I think this was a “purposeful accident”, EG panicked and no one else is involved. I’ve talked to parents who have abused their kids, they really aren’t horrible people, they just do horrible things. I think EG knew she was already at risk of losing visits with her own kids that she knew losing Lucas might look bad, but not as bad as if she killed him accidentally. I think she reacted first and then had to backtrack to make a story fit well enough to hide what she’s done. I think the only reason he hasn’t been found is because of how many possibilities there are for her to have gone. And I don’t think he’s in water because there just aren’t a lot of places for her to get him far enough out without using a boat. The worst part is I also think her daughter probably witnessed all of it but is too young to be of any help to police, and hopefully won’t have any memory of it as she gets older.

In my experience, parents who are guilty of something against their kids say as little as possible with as little contact with investigators as possible. Emotional parents who aren’t hiding their pain or avoiding talking to LE or government officials tend to be telling the truth. There have been exceptions of course, to this. I don’t think EG is an exception here.

This is all related

No crime scene tape at house
Secrecy on JH whereabouts
Secrecy on last seen circs
Park
Child endangerment

Could JH have not left until late Friday/early Saturday? Did they fight and something happen? If so, why isn't he in jail?
At a friend's house? Which one? Does EG have a boyfriend that saw Lucas Fri night? Maybe he knows some details but not enough? Park hookup and maybe he saw Lucas looking sick, sleeping in a pull up in a stroller? Maybe the next day when he heard Lucas was missing, he told the police what he saw?
Where did this crime occur if not at home? It's got to be near where they're searching...but we aren't privy to those details.

It all ties together....secrecy from the beginning....why?

I live off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, so I’m very unfamiliar with the terrain of KS. In VA, I have a database where I can pull up land records. Forgive my ignorance, but how would someone find a database of property owners?

Here ya go, you can search property records here, it's the county appraisal site: https://www.sedgwickcounty.org/appraiser/

This database will give you the property names and other pertinent details but if the occupant of the property is a renter it won't show you the renter's names, just the property owner.

You would have to look up property records thru the county. In KS it is public record, but those records aren’t free online.

Actually, they are free. I just posted the link to the county appraisal site. I've used it already back at the start of the investigation and I wasn't charged anything.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the VI confirmed JH did drive back to town from work when he heard LH was missing? If so, the theory that something happened between JH and EG won't add up (unless it was a fight by phone). His work would be too far away to go round trip twice.

I can get the quote feature to work, but wanted to say, IMO, ESO's info about the dump not being searched is certainly telling. LE likely has some sort of evidence that LH isn't there. There has to be some evidence about the parks, but I just can't come up with a reasonable idea why they've searched such random ones. The only thing I can even make a stretch at is that EG admitted to drug use at a park, but is claiming to have been too intoxicated to know where she was, but she's sure it was a park? ...yes, quite a stretch.

Thank you so much for this. It breaks my heart to smithereens, but thank you nonetheless. :tyou:

BTW. Just throwing this out there instead of adding it to my last post as an edit. If you can spot a location on a map but don't know or can't figure out the street address, if you can get the latitude and longitude of the location (most mapping sites will have this somewhere on the page, usually at the bottom of the map - hover your mouse over a point on the map, look at the bottom and lat/long should be there). Anyway, if you can get lat/lon of the location, plug those coordinates into this website and it will give you physical street address (if it's a location out in the boonies, it will give you a block range, for instance 200-300 Whatever St).

If you want to see if someone owns that property, take the street address and plug it into the county appraiser or tax assessors online records search engine and it will give you the name of the property owner.
