The thoughts of this little boy have kept me awake all night. I probably won't log-out but I'm going to try to get some sleep and hope tomorrow is the day.
Keeping the :candle: lit for Lucas :heartbeat:

Without going into details, we really need to have the land owners check their priorities if at all possible. There have been 2 articles about the request, but it needs to happen soon.

The family has had a very rough 24 hours. As you can imagine, in situations like this people reach a breaking point - especially with all of the negativity targeting the family.

We’re going to talk to the family again in the morning. It looks like I may be heading to Wichita soon.

From a sleuthing standpoint, I would focus on late Friday afternoon into the early morning hours of Saturday. Lucas would have been transported when it was dark outside.

Lucas had been sick for close to two weeks before he “went missing.” He had a stomach bug the first week and had been very sick. I would imagine his already fragile 45 pound body would have been in a much more compromised state.

Tim was correct when he compared EG to Casey Anthony. I’ve been thinking of Casey’s actions and patterns of behavior - I even watched a show about the case today.

I’ll check back in tomorrow. Thanks for your excellent posts!

Reading this seriously broke my heart into a million pieces. My nephew is 5 years old (turns 6 in July) and I could not even imagine him being sick and not doing anything what so ever to help him. So cruel. :(

This is just a tad North of Andover near Towanda. The bridge gave me the creeps. I was trying to think outside of the box so I looked up abandoned farms in Butler Co. I’ve lived here a long time and don’t know most of these. Not sure on all of them distance wise.

Spots like those look ideal. They'd be a nightmare to search, and I think we should consider them technically within distance. The pdf I linked to earlier said something about a round trip of an hour or two being within limits.

How about these 2 spots on Harry and South Andover, where 4 mile creek goes under? Is it out of your way?

I previously pointed out to you the part on S Andover Rd where the road goes over the creek. I'm now interested in the area to the left of that above Citation Road? That looks like somewhere a car could pull over and someone get out at night and not feel to paranoid about being seen? Not necessarily *in* the creek but maybe a black sack or suitcase hidden in the bushes?

I'm always a fair bit behind as I'm over the other hemisphere. I have read every post and thread along with everybody. And am in awe at times the way members here are so amazing. This post hurt my heart. Many comforting thoughts sent to all.

This is a weird suggestion but hey ... why not
Would it worth people or a service of some sort going along the areas you are talking about with a mega phone asking for people to check their property's 🤷*♀️or are they to large

I learned a trick to searching FB for other posts, photos, videos, etc for a user. I found some interesting photos are probably nothing, but anyway (I’m going to post these one at a time):

This tool box was sold April 21, 2017. I’m guessing that is JH’s truck and the place it’s taken at is Fox Run Appts. I used to live there so I recognize the building.

And the most promising photo is from February 12, 2018 inside an empty, cleaned appt that looks just like the one I lived in at Fox Run. These boxes were left over, could she have put Lucas in one?

ETA: By looking at the dates on the box photos, it looks like EG had everything out of the apartment on the Monday before Lucas was reported missing. I think it’s safe to assume anything happening at the old place is pretty much ruled out.

I wonder if the people at the nearest U-Haul location would remember her or somebody else buying those boxes and if the kids were with her..

Also I find it interesting that he was indeed sick, because she pointed out the reason that he was wearing pull ups was because they normally do that when he takes a nap. Why didn't she just say he's been sick?

My hubby is from Kansas. Honestly there's so much open land we're just looking for a needle in a haystack. I don't think we're going to find Lucas with our searching. I think he'll show up some day thru other measures but not thru our standard searching. And I think EG will be getting out soon. With her rights under the law, not being able to charge her in Lucas's disappearance, I wonder if she will get any custody of her daughter. Surely the dad will. I wonder if he will resume his relationship with her.

Because they normally put a pull up on him when he sleeps?
When my son was young he slept so hard we would wake him up in the middle of the night to take him to the bathroom. He never ever remembered! Now he does it with his own son who is 7. If he or we didn't feel we could get him up we might have put him in pull ups. We never did as we were and are diligent about this with him, but I'm just saying I don't find this so alarming. What I do find alarming is her need to point this out. It for some reason stood out as a put down to me. I can't quite put my finger on it but I recall feeling odd towards EG in regards to his diaper.

My heart goes out to everyone onthis site, LE from all agencies, Lucas’ little friends and family (yes all of them), Tim Miller and his courageous crew and everyone who is touched by this little boy.

I noticed at Kansas.com there was another little boy who died when child protective services failed. We had the same problem and until the head of the dept left and the system cleansed of certain characteristics children suffered and died. Might be time to write letters to your representatives who control budgets and force some very serious needed change.

There is no reason for people within a department to “ALTER DOCUMENTS”. and sorry to say this, the State of Kansas May as well write a significant check and save time, because there will be litigation and they will lose.

Mostly the Department and Legislators should, as part of the settlement, be required to report to an over site committee until they can show the deceptive practices have stopped. Complaints were filed out of concern for Lucas, a Judge expressed concern with EG parenting skills. The Judge took the only steps available to correct what the State should have done to protect the other children in the home.

Is it probable the Department did a poor job investigating the escalation of injuries Lucas experienced⁉️

The Department May try to spin this, but at the end of the day there is no spin that can possibly explain 2 children left in harms way for any reason.

Children should not die die in the very place they should feel the safest, at home with parents. Kansas your system is broken. It’s past time to fix it. First a 3 year old is dead and now Lucas Hernandez is missing. And those are 2 the public is aware of, HOW MANY CHILDREN ARE IN DANGER AND OR SUFFERING THAT WE DO NOT KNOW⁉️

It is is very difficult to wake up again and realize Lucas hasn’t been found. And yes there are disheartening parallels to a past Florida case. In these cases it’s emotionally devastating to even think about the evil things human beings do to one another.

As difficult as it is, LAW ENFORCEMENT hasn’t given up. They are stressed as well, in large part because the system fails a child once again, and they are tasked with cleaning up after the failure. I continue to believe he will be found. And someone will be held responsible, sadly one of the defendants might very well be the system.

Marking my spot for later. Hope today is the day they find Lucas. <3

Has the section near the N Linden / N Gatewood area been searched?

I kind of feel like we now know everything we need to know from the public's standpoint.

My first reaction was a tremendous amount of sorrow for Lucas' dad. He is bearing the weight of this since Lucas was under his care.

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, thank you for being a voice for precious little Lucas. We're going to find him. I just know it.

Did she take him to the doctor, I wonder? Afraid of being charged with neglect if she didn’t. Maybe she told dad she did, but didn’t and Lucas got much worse.

What bothers me about all of our searches on the country roads is we were only able to search tree rows parallel to the road and I think it is more likely he will be found on rows perpendicular to the road.
Actually Pink, you did good....if it was during the night, reduces the opportunity to move about.

LE seriously does that. They will have the trashman clear out everything in his “bay”, lay down a special bag, then the trash gets picked up and dumped into the bag. They then don’t pack it, meet up with LE and they take it from there. The drivers sign something stating where the trash came from. And then it’s inventoried by LE. I find the whole process a little creepy but once you put your trash at the curb, it’s free game to be used against you in a court of law.

And I have seen that movie! Love that scene [emoji23]

Okay... hold on. This brings up a question that I have, and while it's not about Lucas specifically, I could see how it could relate. Not just asking you ESO, so if you aren't sure, don't feel obligated to answer. I'm just quoting you because of the bolded part above. :)

So, the police can't use anything they find in EG's phone, if she volunteers, it correct?
BUT, if she puts her trash out (volunteering it), and they go through it, they can use that information in court?

Help me understand!

Is it because she doesn't KNOW her trash is being gone through (not her specifically, but you get what I'm saying), and that's how it can be used in court? I'm seriously confused.
