Praying for love and strength to hold Charlee and her family close until she is found safe and sound.
It's beginning to get dark in KY, it's been hot and humid today. The nights are cooler. My mind doesn't want to think about the darkness and that precious little girl and her dog. They must be hungry and thirsty. How far can a 2, almost 3 year old walk?

We have obnoxious alarms on our doors at the preschools I work with. Lately though, I have not found them loud or obnoxious at all.Oh no, not again! It seems lately we have too many autistic children under five opening the door, walking outside in their pajamas and disappearing.
Families with autistic children must do better at securing their outside doors! These are little children who have no business of being able to escape outside. It is a dangerous world for any underage child.
The first article I read stated the grandfather left for work at 5:30 a.m. The grandmother didn't notice she was missing until around 9:30 a.m. and the door was open (who leaves for work that early and doesn't lock the door, jmo). Charlee was gone and so was Penny, their dog.I haven’t seen much background on this, do we know where her parents are? She was staying with the grandparents? Are they certain that she wandered away? Could she have possibly been taken by a non-custodial parent?
What is the family situation? Did she live with her grandparents?
Just thinking out loud here. Probably the dog would have barked if a stranger approached or entered the house?

As far as the status of her mom and dad, we don't know. Praying they find her before the night is out.

Ohhhh...I hope not!So really we don’t even know if the dog is with her. Could very well be that she got out, and the dog eventually wandered by an open door and let himself out too.
