Awake maybe seven minutes??? Man that is an eternity! I thought Trey was unconscious after being sucker punched in the face? Seven minutes? While he's face down in the mud and can't breathe? Is that even possible? Seven minutes without air?

I hope he wasn't awake. How awful for him and for the people who loved him to think about that torture to him.

Witness did not know if he was awake.....the heart activity could have carried on for 7 minutes after the first hit......two different things!

Anyone catch the Time of death?

I missed the entire morning and early afternoon. Are we just on break?

HLN is playing and an inmate testified to JG being in trouble for homosexuality behavior. I didn't need to hear that...

None of the inmates got anything in exchange for their testimony, but beatings? No wonder the one guy wouldn't talk.

Thanks Agatha! I wonder what witness is supposed to bring that evidence in? I thought, for sure, it would be the ME after none of the Police at the scene mentioned it.

Transcript JVM... Stewart is Treys grandmother....

(snipped)

STEWART: No, he was a very well-behaved child. Actually, the last conversation I had with him, he was wanting to join the Marine Corps so he would be able to take care of his little sister, because he knew the situation his mom was in, and he was afraid he`d be the one to end up raising his little sister.

So he knew what he wanted out of life. It`s just he didn`t have a chance to have a life. And that spot on his back, that is a footprint.

CASAREZ: It is. I was right.

STEWART: It is a footprint. It`s where they held him down on the ground. And his little face was pushed so much into the dirt and mud that his face print was in the mud. You could see his nose and cheekbones and everything in the mud, along with the blood and everything. We had to look at his face print in that mud.

CASAREZ: Oh, Ms. Stewart.

STEWART: That`s how bad they beat him.

Audio over modulated....where's the audio guy?? Sleeping? And the mike picking up prosecutors....way down.

Prosecutor needs to raise her voice and he needs to sit back a little from the mic. My poor ears. This trial has the worst audio.

Scott Russ.....mic is still tiney......a police officer.......10 years.....6 years on homicide.....recently returned to patrol.

Was off duty.....advised of body found....foul play involved.....got the call about 1:45 in the afternoon.....got there just about 20 minutes later.......several police cars there when he got there.

a student allerted his teacher that he saw a body.....witness did a quick walk around the area......points out things he thinks is necessary......

no identification and no weapon on scene........waiting for corornor to get in pockets......came across the lawn mower blade on walk through......made note of it.....to be photographed......

going through names of officers there and what they were doing......

Was surprised that there was not alot down there.......not much trash there......

contacted a dog unit......

(side note,,,,witness sounds great on mic....cannot hear the questions by prosecutor)
