When do u guys think the verdict will come in? Is the jury gonna work past 5...like say until late into the night? I think if they work through, we can get verdict late at night...if they stop, then tomorrow.

Yes, I believe that she would about that because if I recall correctly, she doesn't have full custody of Kenzie anymore. So she wouldn't want CPS to use her testimony on the stand to keep her from gaining custody of Kenzie, or from taking away visitation rights.

I can completley understand why she would like about that. It doesn't have to do with the murder directly. And if I had a daughter I was afraid of losing, I wouldn't say anything either that might make CPS mad.

Again IMO making her testimony not credible. If she would lie under oath to save her own interests, then she would lie under oath to get Gouker and anyone associated with him punished, truth or no truth, she will lie if it serves her interests.

IMO anything Cassy says is not credible. Where does she show in any part of this trial that her word is credible? Gouker was throwing anything and everything against the wall to see what would stick. Josh was only with his Bio dad for 6 weeks. He do you really think he built up that much antomosiity and hatred that he would kill his step brother? He had been in and out of foster homes for years, did he try to hurt or kill any of those other kids in those home cause he was an outsider, no. His foster sister who knew him for 3 years did not mention any of that to her, nor did she witness ever witness it.

Watch Beyond Scared Straight, many of those teens don't live with their biological parents, yet are following in their footsteps.

How would you excuse Joshua Young's own contradicting statements to LE????

Can anyone let me know have their been any jury questions at all; or does anyone have a jury watch clock or info? Seems HLN/CNN has decided not to even put one up; after "covering the trial on pause".....thanks...

aa9511, did Arias really say 'Now my philosophy is that it's never okay to kill someone'?

If so that is mind boggling.

hahhaha....yes! 'Cause she was pulling the "self-defense" line, so she was trying to say that after she killed Travis, she didn't think it was "wrong" that she killed him (I think her words were something like, I didn't think society would see it as "wrong"). Then she said...but now my philosophy is that it's never okay to kill someone.

:dunno::dunno:

Yes, they asked for Gouker's trial testimony and Young's statements with LE read back, which just concluded a little bit ago.

But during her testimony it was clear, at least to me, that she only fudged/lied when it had something to do with like custody or something like that. I do not believe that she lied about anything to do with the murder itself and Gouker's involvement in it.

I don't excuse it. I don't think it is enough to convict this boy of murder cause he was not accurate where he slept that night.

Is there anywhere, anywhere else that he contradicts himself, no. Amanda, Cassie, Gouker, Jahaira, Angelika, all were caught in numorous major inconsistent statements, but many on this board give them a pass. I just don't agree with the logic. People have differing opinions, that is fine. When a boys life is at stake for what you are say is enough to convict him on, is just not logical in my opinion.

Using that logic then Josh only lied about where he slept that night, not about anything to do with the murder, do you see the irony?

There's no where else where he contradicts himself b/c he makes the easiest solution to get out of the whole mess by saying I went and fell asleep...I was asleep during everything. So what else is there that he could even say, to contradict himself b/c he only put him in the picture for a brief moment after the cookout and Trey's shower situation...and that one thing he lied about!! For the rest of it, he conveniently took himself out of the picture. What is gonna say about sleeping that would be inconsistent with his story of sleeping?

Everything from the next morning when he "woke up" onwards...he has his Dad to distract and take the fall for everything. Everything on the run, no one ever says why did Little Josh run? Everything from then onwards he has Dad to take the blame for.

Sigh, Amanda is not charged with the murder, whereas Little Josh is. So where Little Josh and Big Josh slept that night has directly to do with the murder. All of their actions for that night are directly relevant to the murder. Does it matter whether Big Josh lived with Amanda or not? If he didn't live with Amanda or lived with Amanda, is that gonna make the difference between whether he killed Trey or did not kill Trey? No, what matters is what exactly were his actions and minute-by minute what did he do on the night of May 10 going into May 11.

What the hell does he find so amusing?

I don't see a conviction on this one. Not with the evidence presented. Beyond a reasonable doubt.

They aren't accused of murdering a 14 year old though but I will agree about Gouker's contradictions........he lied and lied and he is still lying.

How would Josh Young know what Trey was wearing later on that night?

If he gets off, I would strongly suggest to everyone not to move to Louisville or or within a 100-mile radius of Louisville.

What else does a 15 yr old do on a school night? He could of offered other stories like everyone else but he didn't because he was being truthful.

Young did not know what his father had done, he was not told by Gouker, he was at school. Nor did he know what his father was doing getting everyone to cover Gouker's own hiney by using Josh Young as the murderer.

Gouker stated he thought for sure at any moment he was going to arrest him, but they didn't. Which gave him time to work his minions, and get more and more paranoid and violent towards Amanda. But she still kept her mouth shut, till it was clear she had better get out of there or she would be next.

Imo, its more about saying he knew what Trey was wearing that night than where he slept. He said Trey had on jeans and black shoes. That is not what he had on at the cookout or when he came out of the shower.
