A question, Do Kaine and Terri still live together since all this has happened?

Without having to reread this entire thread would someone please cue me in on what you're all talking about..."she could see him that far away if she was inside"...who's she and who is she seeing from where...

the great debate over the length of the hallway...

Just from looking at the Bing maps aerial view it looks like the school is just a little over 100 feet long. But that's a rough estimate. And I wouldn't put too much stock in TH's guess as to how long the hallway is. I think the most important point is that it establishes her claiming she was on one side of the school and Kyron was on the other. Since we know his classroom is located at the far side of the school away from the parking lot it seems that's what she was talking about...she was probably near the parking lot exit or the steps to the exit and Kyron was almost to his classroom.

Not TH's guess. The 150 feet came from a reporter in an article previously linked in this thread. The article was written a day or two after LE gave media a tour of the school (June 5 at 2pm).

Math makes me  You're right. I don't see, though, how the school could be that big that she could see him that far away if she was inside? Or am I that mathmatically challenged?

She said goodbye to him in the hallway, at a point a reporter claims was 150 feet from Kyron's classroom, to which he was supposed to go.

At what point are you thinking she saw him from far away?

Thanks for clearing that up BeanE. Many reports have her saying she saw him walking toward his classroom so we don't know how far she watched him walk.

I think a lot of people think 150 feet is "far away"...if I am reading this right...

Okay. I never got the idea she had watched him walk all the way to his classroom, 150 feet from where they said goodbye, since he never made it to his classroom, and if that was his point of disappearance, it seems she (and others) would have seen the abductor at the classroom door taking him.

I don't see Kyron running off to see anything on his own,if he was sent to go into his classroom,I think that's exactly what he would do.Both parents said he wouldn't wander. If an adult came up to him,he'd probably do that, but to go downstairs on his own,I just don't think he'd do that.Unless the excitement of the day overcame his normal pattern.

OK, I don't post much, but I read everything. Kyron looks alot like my grandson and I feel very sad about this. I was very surprised that the BM (Desiree) and BD (Kaine) did the interview together. It seems to me that the person that knows the most about Kyron would be the person who was his primary caregiver SM (Terri). I can understand Desiree's husband not being present, but I don't understand why SM wasn't there. I'm not sure how much BM visited with Kyron, but on a day to day basis he lived with SM. I would like to hear SM tell her story and hear her voice. I would personally be proclaiming my innocence and wanting people to be aware of that. Unless she has been told to remain silent by LE. Does anyone find it strange that she didn't speak???

Strange and I don't think it was an accident that she didn't speak. It was a well thought out decision to keep her away from the public, probably because of all the scrutiny on her.

I honestly do not believe LE is telling anyone they cannot speak. I don't even think LE is providing the family with any more information than they are the public and if they move to make an arrest within the family circle at some point, will probably only tell them just before doing it. I think having the parents do the circuit Friday took the pressure off of LE for a few days anyway, until they are ready to talk to the media and public again. Maybe they will do so after they finish going through those questionnaires. I do hope they are working other angles as well.

I didn't hear that. Do you know which interview it was?
Hi ClueMeIn, I just rewatched it last night and the link was to the site, not the video. I don't think I can bring it here

Better look fast , hint hint ;}

What has bothered me about the dad's statement is that if Kyron was being actively worked with to improve his listening skills, and was being taught to listen carefully and obediently to teachers and parents, then any parent in that school that day may have been seen as an authority figure to him. If someone else's parent said "come here" he may well have listened and obeyed.

I've got to tell you, I never once saw this as a discipline issue. I'm not saying you are wrong, just that I never saw it that way.

This is EXACTLY what I took from his statement on that too. As soon as he said it, I immediately started thinking that he intentionally put that out there to kind of give people a glimpse of what they have been thinking could have happened to him.

Sorry for scaling your post down so much. But I think that particular statement was very important.

It would be an extreme coincidence, I think, if as Kyron was being taught to listen to adults at the school he was taken by one because he remembered this lesson.

I've never heard of a kid being taught to improve listening skills around adults and teachers. Is there a program, brochures, online advice, etc. Did the school take him out of class 30 minutes per week to do this, or just how is that done. That statement seems odd to me, becuase I've never heard of such a thing. I have heard of teachers repeating directions more than once, seating a kid in a certain spot, one-on-one directions, giving them extra time, shortening assignments, putting a little air filled cushion on the chair to help prevent fidgeting, etc. But never working with one to improve listening skills in a seven year old as a modification. Three boys with add and some bad behavior but never heard of this. I better keep my mouth shut as to what I really think it could possibly mean.

The problem I have is if he was having problems listening to teachers and adults how am I suppose to believe he was so well behaved he stayed in bed until someone came and got him? :waitasec:

Maybe it's less that he wanted to get up but didn't because the adults had told him not to and more that he wanted to stay in bed and sleep late but had to rise when the adults came and told him to.

In one of the interviews, NBC I think, DY says out of the gate that LE has told them not to talk about the investigation.
