maybe some remembering dark 3rd vehicle in TBcase??

  • #242
Yes I seem to recall that too. I remember the white van as well.
But an ugly green is coming to mind for some reason.. Like we have seen this van before. Jmo

Did Shaner use it? IIRC, DM had Shane hide a vehicle on someones property, and Shane drove around in a van. Millard's allowed Employees to use their equipment for delivery etc. Just a thought.

Jill Cameron is the crown for this witness, seeking to have her qualified as an expert on human remains, and the effect of burning on human remains. #LauraBabcock

Crown Jill Cameron is examining Dr. Rogers. She's looking to have her qualified as an expert in IDing human remains, and identifying burned remains. #LauraBabcock

Well Dr Rogers saw the incinerator before it made it to OPP headquarters so it's still disjointed to me. :dunno:

Yes to show where they found it.

Then to the OPP who brought it in for investigation.

Now we have the anthropologist who can advise what she found.

It's a calculated process. Patience everyone.

This is a very very vague memory for the TB trial, but wasn't there an instance when someone was looking for SS but he had parked his van behind/around a neighbour's house, not at his own home? Maybe I'm completely mistaken. I'm not good enough with the forum's search function to know where to start looking for the text to refresh my memory... apologies.

The judge says Cameron can "give us the highlights of her long and impressive CV." The judge says Rogers is going to give opinion evidence in her field. #LauraBabcock

Judge is explaining that this witness, unlike most, is able to give opinion... conclusions on evidence based on her expertise in forensic anthropology. #LauraBabcock

Yes, Inspector_North, I have the same memory! I just posted that below then refreshed and saw your post. :)

Rogers says a forensic anthropologist is somebody who works with "highly decomposed or skeletal remains." #LauraBabcock

Rogers has a 26-page CV. She explains that forensic anthropologists work with badly decomposed or skeletal remains. They are contacted by police and Fire Marshal office to examine scenes and do searches when "a body is in poor condition." #LauraBabcock

"Any situation where a body would be in a very poor condition ... we would be involved in the search for those remains and the final recovery as well," Rogers says, adding they also look at "who that person was, and what happened to them." #LauraBabcock

Is dead body expert on his business card too?

Could be. I know there is also the white van that JV was traded for the red truck during TB's murder. I think there might be a pic of this green van in one of the hangar pics from facebook though.

There have definitely been pictures of this van (in the background) in the hangar photos - not exclusively on FB, because I don't look at FB for news etc. so the pics have been here and/or on the twitter feeds back in the day. I remember it because my Caravan before my current one was a similar-vintage -2004 - model of that peculiar green/blue/grey colour (Chrysler called it "tungsten"!) and I noticed it precisely because it was a ringer for mine, which also had the middle seats removed to accommodate dog crates. In fact, I'm sure that very van is in the left rear background on one or more photos published on here in the last day or two depicting either the eliminator or some other hangar activity, because I thought to myself, there's my van again LOL..

I would agree with that. Lots of focus on the pole for sure. Moo

And a huge effort to have it NOT mentioned in the TB trial.

Rogers worked on many criminal cases, including the infamous Robert Picton case. #LauraBabcock

Rogers helped search the Robert Pickton farm after the BC mass murder case. She's describing that process. Lots of bones. She went through them all to identify them as animal or human. #LauraBabcock

maybe some remembering dark 3rd vehicle in TBcase??

Schlatman had a black van. From Bosma Day 23 thread:

Police were looking at three vehicles: a 2005 red Dodge pickup registered to Millardair, a 2011 black Dodge caravan registered to Shane Schlatman, and a 2000 Blue GMC Yukon registered to Millardair.

Officer Griffin tailed Millard starting at 4pm. As the red dodge pick up left, a second vehicle, a black caravan began following the truck.

Think that was red.

Every case starts with identifying bones as human as opposed to animal, so she is familiar with animal bones as well as human, Rogers says. #LauraBabcock

Rogers says she has familiarity identifying different types of animal bones, too. #LauraBabcock
