Schlatman is describing different parts of the incinerator and what they do. Explains his original problem with four two-small hoses attached to four 100-lb propane tanks; those tanks were never mounted.

Why admit building it but not who helped raise it up on it? How is this all helpful for the jury?

I believe Schlatman already testified to loading the Executioner on the trailer with a forklift.

So they were all there getting this thing ready, when normally he would be there alone. And none of the friends had any idea what it was actually for. Right.

I'm more curious about DM's father, the professional consultant he hired to drum up legitimate business, Transport Canada regulators evaluating the Millardair application for an MRO, the airport officials who made the deal with Millardair to build the hangar...a huge number of smart business people had large amounts of money or a strong interest in that hangar, yet DM felt completely free to have this bizarre machine there for weeks, fully exposed to anyone who came by. He was very cocky.

Schlatman was not involved in installing the propane tank on the trailer; can't remember how much #Millard paid... he'd "guesstimate" one-two thousand dollars.

Lockhart asks Schlatman where the incinerator was kept, after it was rigged with the propane tank and generator at the hangar.

Schlatman says, "inside the barn, at the back."

This is the last place he says he saw it.

The incinerator was kept at the hangar, but Schlatman says he's seen it at the farm as well. "There's a door at the back of the barn, it was inside the door." That was the last time Schlatman saw the incinerator. #LauraBabcock

Schlatman isn't sure how often he saw the incinerator at the barn, maybe more than once. He used the generator when he was working on the excavator.

Schlatman doesn't know why the eliminator was taken from the airport. It was functional. The trailer was hooked to the blue Yukon & Millard was driving. "Can't say for certain" if he was alone. #LauraBabcock

"Eliminator is eliminating," Schlatman writes to #Millard on July 23rd. He was testing the machine. Took eight hours to "burn in" the machine; slowly bring it up to the correct temperature and let it cool off. #LauraBabcock

Any ramps on that trailer?

A text from Schlatman July 23, 2012, from 9:34 a.m.

"Eliminator is eliminating."

He says he ran a burn cycle on the machine, testing it out. The burn cycle only happens once, he explains, to get it started. It took about eight hours.

All of these "can't say for certain, and Possibly's" SS is saying really show where his loyalty still lies. There is nothing that even eludes to the fact that he is disgusted at what that incinerator was really used for. Or can't believe that he can't believe that he was part of making something that was used for such an awful crime!

Later he showed #Millard how to turn the machine off and on, Schlatman says. He never showed anyone else, he says. "I think we went over it a couple of times, before he took it." #LauraBabcock

Schlatman showed #Millard how to use the eliminator while at the hangar. The "burn in" is a curing cycle and only had to be done once (July 23). That was the first time he had it working properly.

Even at the high end, how much is someone going to pay to dispose of an animal? Is it going to cover the cost of towing that 4000 pound machine to Barrie and back (gas + 5hrs (assuming only one person goes) + propane + burn time + cleanup). This idea makes absolutely no sense.

Oh my! I just had a visual of that thing going down the 400 at 100km/hr.

Schlatman isn't sure when #Millard drove the eliminator away, but it was soon after it was working, he says. "The BBQ" means the incinerator, he clarifies again for the crown.

More texts from July 23, 2012. This one from around 3 p.m.

Millard: "Was there something that needed fixing... (do you know why it wouldn't ignite for me?)

Schlatman: "I think you left a gas valve closed."

Millard: "haha ok. I'm coming out before 7. see you in a few hours."

Schlatman can't recall if he saw Millard that day. The Crown alleges July 23 is the day Babcock's body was burned in the incinerator.

A reminder to twitter followers that I can only discuss evidence this jury has heard... until they retire to consider a verdict.

DM worked in that hangar, and in the business but it doesn't seem like he had any real handyman skills.
