bill andrew... on your timeline... is it right that they went to the hangar and towed the incinerator to the farm, found out they needed a plug, and towed it back to the hangar and did the burn there?

And we're back.

Lisa Hepfner

Marlena Meneses is now talking about the ipad. She saw Millard and Smich deleting things from it, and #Millard told #Smich to give it to Meneses, but he kept it for himself, she says. She didn't see what they were deleting. #LauraBabcock

We were not let into the courtroom until the testimony had already begun, so I'm catching up. Meneses says she played on the iPad a lot. When did they get it? "It was definitely after they played with the incinerator. It was still nice outside. It wasn't cold." #LauraBabcock

IMO...MM did as she was told by DM and MS. MM was young and likely DM didn't trust the gossip mouth from a young girl. Just trying to think outside of the box a little but, girls are known to gossip, the less MM knew about these "missions" the safer DM and MS would be to carry on. DM likely trusted that MS wouldn't tell all to MM due to the nature of the mission. MOO

MS: "Don't tell them anything don't tell them anything."

This is interesting but all it shows is that MS helped burn the body, which I think has already been well established.

It would be good to have more evidence of his involvement with the killing or helping prepare for the killing. All we really have now is MS arranging for the gun. That may be enough, but more would be good.

We have the two witnesses who told us that MS told them he killed LB, plus the rap that MS recorded right after the alleged offense.

Meneses would use the iPad to send messages. #Smich address was "[email protected]," she says #Smich used the ipad for raps, games, messaging, etc. #Millard paid the cell phone bills.

Meneses had never met or even heard of #LauraBabcock, before these charges.

Meneses has met Iisho. She doesn't know his real name. She's seen him at Riverside, and she's been to his place a 3-4 times. Sometimes #Millard was with them. #LauraBabcock

I just added the rest of the live blog where it describes what she saw/heard.

Edit: redwing already added that part oops! (And thanks redwing)

No worries Inbetween....I only caught that and thought it was important to share here.
the better half has been asking what i do with my day...apparently, the reply of "copy and pasting tweets to websleuths" isn't a good answer

I agree.

And is arranging for a gun even enough? We don't even know how she was killed.

That's a good point. We don't even know that she was shot, so what evidence is there tying MS to the killing?

Burning a dead body is a serious offence, but it sure isn't murder.

Again, he only told those witnesses "burned", not killed. Please correct with quote if I'm mistaken.

Meneses told the court about Millard giving Smich an iPad, which he used for his rapping.

The court*has previously heard Babcock's iPad, given to her by her former boyfriend Shawn Lerner as a gift, was plugged into one of Millard's computers in early July, 2012. The Crown contends this happened after Babcock's alleged murder.

Crown Jill Cameron, "Have you ever met a woman named Laura Babcock?"*

Meneses, "No."

Cameron, "Before this trial, had you ever heard of her?"

Meneses, "No."

Crown Cameron now asks Meneses about meeting this man named Isho we've heard about.

She describes a time she went to his house.

"As soon as we got there, Dellen went upstairs with Isho." She was downstairs with Mark, but then Mark went upstairs. She didn't follow.

Meneses thinks Smich and Isho went to high school together.*

Isho, she says, is*"short, chubby, tattoos all over - on his legs, face, neck, he was covered."

My recollection was that only one said that and on cross he changed his story, but I could be wrong.

She thinks Iisho lived on top of a store. They could walk there from the Riverside six-plex. #Smich did not drive, did not have a license.

Once when she was at Iisho's house #Smich and #Millard went upstairs with Iisho. There were other people there, all downstairs, where Meneses stayed.

Meneses did not go upstairs, she says. She thinks #Smich went to high school with Iisho. What does he look like? Short, chubby, tattoos everywhere. "Arms, legs, face, neck, he was covered everywhere."

Meneses knew of the green van. "To my knowledge it was Dellen's father's." Sometimes she would hang out in #Smich garage. "People would come to Mark's house all the time." A lot of young boys who looked up to Mark, she says. Can't remember their names.

"Mark would tell me to leave all the time," Meneses says. "It would be like, all the time." She didn't know what would go on when she was asked to leave. Sometimes it would be while they were in the garage with a group. Cameron is going to play the rap video again.

Thanks if you could do the blog that'd be super helpful.

I also won't be able to do anything after lunch so if someone could grab the tweets later if appreciate it.

Cameron asks Meneses about hanging out at Smich's mother's house - in her garage - in Oakville.

Meneses says "a lot of young kids looked up to Mark." She adds often, Smich asked her to leave the garage when he was hanging out with these younger guys.

Cameron shows Meneses the rap video. She's in it, at the very end.

She tells the court the video was shot in Millard's basement, and that he was likely taking the video. She's never seen the video and doesn't remember when it happened.

The Crown has no further questions.

"Are you taking a picture of it? ha!" Meneses says in the video when camera pans to marijuana cigarette. She also identifies #Millard dog Pedo in the video. Says #Millard probably shot the video. She says she hasn't seen it before. She doesn't remember #Smich doing this rap.

"Did Mark often do rap songs?" Meneses said he would rap and sing all the time. She says she, Smich and Millard were always together, that's why she thinks #Millard was shooting the video. Says his dog "Pedo really did like me," and Millard would often leave dog with her.

Jill Cameron has no further questions for Meneses, who has "an important commitment on Monday," She is free to go until Tues morning. #LauraBabcock

So no questions about the night of July 3rd? Where they at Millard's house that night?

Man, that's disappointing. I was so hoping she could put him in the house that night.

Maybe she wasn't there so can't put him in the Milllard house on the 3rd.
