So very true! She was likely asked already and couldn’t recall anything of significance, so the crown thought it was best to not even introduce that line of questioning in front of the jury.

*sigh* I feel bad for the crown. It’s really not their fault. They have so little to work with given that the investigation took place so long after the crime occurred. I’m surprised and grateful that they have what they DO have, with all the text messages, cell phone data, pings, etc. I just so deeply hope justice will be served for LB and her family.

I'm afraid we need more on MS.

I agree. Both those kids were likely present for the same conversation, yet what they recall from it is slightly different. It may not seem like much to us, but to the jury it could raise reasonable doubt.

Yes, I think it’s safe to say her memory got the best of her on that question. It’s obvious from the evidence that the iPad came into their possession after the murder and before the incineration.

I get the use of the ipad within hours or days of LB's murder - but the rap video 'on ashy stone' could not have been recorded at that time. After the fact no?

Agree that the recollection of exact wording may be off - as a jury member I would think twice about this, MS could have had no fear of taking credit for LB's murder by that time. Doesn't mean or prove he actually planned or took part in it. It's the word of someone else - one has to be careful in taking what people say about someone else at face value.

I think the Judge is giving DM extra time to prepare for his cross of MM and not go up right after her testimony. I was hoping MM would be able to give some info about the purple slippers. I'm not sure when the jury was shown this video as evidence and what was stated about it by the Crown. So disappointed about this but surprised that MM was brought along on the mission to test out the incinerator. Why even bring her along if she was so good at taking care of Pedo? So strange. Was Smich worried about being alone on this mission with DM? I don't get it.

I don’t think there was likely anything MM could have said about the slippers. She didn’t even know LB.

As for her being present for the incineration, I think her relationship with MS was very controlling and possessive and he likely wanted her around at all times, even if he gave her orders to wait in the car, or leave the garage, for example. That’s my analysis anyway.

The cross of MM by DM next Tuesday may be interesting. On the topic of MS but also 'off topic' as well is this horrible rap video about killing and mutilating that circulated during the TB trial. It has MS in it. The date it was filmed is in 2012. That's all I could find. It has always lingered as a dark look into MS's world, for lack of a better descriptor. I wonder when in 2012 it was filmed and it is so creepy and horrifying with the glorifying of murder. I come back to that text with SS regarding the 'smell' and the need for the incinerator to be fired up in late Aug 2012 for another 'deer'....paraphrasing the texts, sorry. I keep wondering if there were others that were murdered by these 2 demonic 's. Appreciate others' thoughts on this, or is it only me that worries about this?

Is there a media thread yet ? I have been having trouble accessing videos or pictures on the CHCH news site. The videos just will not play. Is anyone else having this problem ? I could not watch the video of MS's mother hitting the camera man, and I also could not see the video showing DM and his former fiance with the black cat. Are these available anywhere else ?

Someone else likely answered this better than me. Video played MM said the dog Pedo liked her and DM often let it go with her. Nothing about the slippers. IIRC

4-5 hours (not sure of the # of hours) late at night in a dark, secluded area, and she is close to an enormous, roaring, metal crematorium, that is spitting embers?

I find it impossible to believe that she couldn't sense the gravity of the situation, even if she claims that she wasn't explicitly told what was taking place.

Same as MS in the TB trial. He pieced together a story from information we knew... text messages and pings. Wrong details? She said they got the ipad after the burn. Definitely she said. The burn was on the 23rd. The ipad was connected on the 4th.

I’m starting to think we may never know for sure, but I can speculate...

Maybe DM at some point on the 3rd or 4th, puts LB in the tarp, and into his vehicle. Likely the trunk so MM doesn’t know about it. Then on the 4th, DM, MS, and MM travel along the Lakeshore. LB’s phone goes dead/is turned off/is thrown away and MS and MM get dropped off in Oakville. DM continues onward to his farm to hide LB’s body until the 23rd, which is the night MM gave testimony on today.

Does this line up with the cell phone ping testimony? I know it’s all a little foggy still, but please anyone correct me if I’m wrong or offbase.
