DM is not so good at following instructions it seems. Oh well, it may have just been brainstorming anyways. MOO

Now that he understands the restrictions of calling a witness, I wonder if he will have some second thoughts on his next?

The wheels are starting to fall off for DM. :happydance:

I'm going to step away until the end of the court's lunch break but I will be back to catch up and keep posting tweets and blog :)
Thank you SO much, Velma! :loveyou:

He probably got a bit too self assured during the first half of the trial since the Crown had to do all the work. Now it's his turn. Should have gotten a lawyer.
Definitely. Code also gave him a lot of latitude during the Crown portion so this "stop it" talk may come as a surprise to DM. Wonder how many more "expert" witnesses he plans on calling? We haven't even got to his sleep disorder stuff yet. Yikes! Justice Code is going to go escalate to "Saint" status in my books. Credit to Jill Cameron- she's definitely living up to her reputation as a great Crown Attorney. MOO

That ending was a pretty intense "mic-drop" moment for the Crown, I'd say.

Oh what, oh what is MS going to do when it's his turn? The suspense is too much.

While this fella is no doubt highly intelligent and astute in what he is qualified to do ... absolutely NONE of his profile reads to me that he would be an appropriate person to call for these purposes.

I don't feel sorry for DM, but ... OK -- ever seen Legally Blonde when Elle Woods starts studying law -- long before she trips up before she manages to crush the cross with her knowledge of perms?
This is how I imagine this morning to have gone.

Only he has way worse hair, and no Pedo in his purse.

From his profile: In addition to continuing his duties overseeing the Nunavut archaeological material, Scott supports a research programme focused on better understanding the Late Cretaceous ecosystems of southern Alberta, and a research collaboration in East Africa to investigate the contribution and importance of fish to the diet and brain evolution of our early human ancestors.

I don't see anything that would make him an expert about deer or human bones....

And is anyone else saying ‘Mark who?’. I hope that he doesn’t slip through the cracks in all of this

Honest to gosh, I fail to understand how DM can calmly stand there knowing full well those are LB's bones in the incinerator and pretend they are animal bones. Boggles my mind.

Illusory Truth Effect.
Equating repetition with truth.
He's told himself the lie enough times that the images don't bother him.

As stated, a more qualified expert gave a report but he wasn’t used, why? Maybe cuz his opinion matched better with Dr. Rogers and was useless for DM? So DM went with the less qualified, much younger guy that is still leaning. That was only initially asked if they were deer bones and nothing else. So that’s kind of like a “hey, look at that unicorn shape in the clouds” but you’re the only one that sees it till it’s pointed out....blue circle in second pic sent to MR R! Good try though DM....clap hands and a tiny Whoot for tying!

DM is better at this lawyer stuff than Dungey. MS should have hired DM.

So far DM's defense has been

One hour of texts of him complaining he is too tired, and not getting proper sleep. Is this to put doubt in the Mattress purchase on the 4th? Seemed to be far from complete on what he was trying to accomplish?

Expert witness to try and put doubt in the contents of the July 23rd cremation. This resulted in failure. MOO

What other evidence by the crown will DM target next? I don't see it being the letters since he has confirmed he wrote them. So I don't see CN taking the stand. It would be another major failure if CN brings her TB trial bubbly personality to this courtroom.

As for MS. Just sit back and enjoy Mr. Disney's performance.

I think he'll call Ace Venture pet detective next and expect them to testify that they borrowed Justin Biebers pet monkey and forgot to return it and accidentally needed to dispose of it.

WOOPS

LOL. Hardly. Dungey was effective in the TB trial with his strategy to be very vocal. He is just as effective for his client with his silence in this trial. Let's review this after the closing arguments.

Ahh I see. This is very interesting, and very likely the case.
