BREAKING:
:what:
JVM: Did Travis have a secret engagement ring? If so why and what happened to it.

  • #342
The guy can't even sit up straight or stand up when objecting. It's called lack of manners. A high level of education does not mean you have social skills or manners.

Can you imagine how much fun he'd be to go have a few beers with?

Said no one. Ever.

Does it bother anyone else how Jodi is constantly spreading her legs during the interview? I can't stand it!! I can't imagine doing that--shifting around and spreading my legs when talking to a man I don't know...

It's very distracting as a viewer, so I can imagine that her hope was to distract Flores.

Too bad we can't ask ALV if that sort of behavior (seemingly flaunting/using her sexuality) is expected from a person to have been so physically, mentally, and sexually abused.

What do you think people would say if they ever saw your google history? My H always see's random things I have googled and laughs at me and says... I will just minnnnnd my business. lol.

Oh my gosh--my Google history has got to be HORRIBLE!! I am too curious for my own good. My DH knows I'm a weirdo already, so I don't think he'd be surprised!:floorlaugh:

S Hogan on JVM:

Travis had bought an engagement ring while in a previous relationship.
He had it in his house and somehow it went missing during the time the defendant was sneaking into his house.

Yeah, you have to wonder if this 'juror' sitting outside the courthouse is not just a case of mistaken identity.

hello all!
i may be wrong but, if i were a juror the last thing i would be doing is sitting around the court house at the end of the day. to my car and out of there. all day sitting waiting, waiting sitting. can't imagine lounging on a bench eating ice cream at the end of the day. really? jmo

Why does the detective sit at the table with JM? That's not common in other states is it?

In NC most courtrooms, there is a bench directly behind the counsel tables (much like a long pew in a church) where certain people may sit: assistants to the prosecutors and to the defense attys, and LEOs (investigators, etc.), jury consultant, etc. This pew is on the same side of the bar as the principals, and not in the gallery.

EXACTLY. I think that her failed blatant attempts to seduce Det. Flores into believing her lies is the reason she is so contemptuous of him. She only referred to him as "Flores" on the stand. (and she referred to JM as "Juan.")

I wanted to tell her--Don't you mess with my Juan Martinez, beyotch!:furious:

I sent a link to your mailbox.
It's another message board and I don't want to link it here.

Please help me understand why the defense did not want the amount spent known? How can that effect jodi? Can Juan bring that up in court now?

Om JVM - "Did Travis have a secret engagement ring?" Should be on soon.

I wonder if this is more HLN hype?

I have been MIA for the past week and just now getting caught up, so please forgive me in advance for bringing this up if it has already been discussed at length..... Am I understanding correctly that TA's family, per request of the defense, is no longer allowed to wear ribbons in the courtroom, yet JA's is now wearing ribbons for domestic violence?

If this is true, how is it the true victim in this case and his family can not show their support for him, but the person who is responsible for his death is allowed support through these ribbons? How is it they are allowed to continue to wear these ribbons? There is no shred of proof that JA was a victim of domestic violence but we have nothing but proof that JA killed TA.

If there isn't a ribbon color for murder victims we need to get one.....NOW!

how about pick a color with small teardrops on it??

My understanding is that she contacted the bishop IN ARIZONA after she had moved to Yreka and after Travis was murdered, for the purpose of finding out what he knew.

She would never have gone to the bishop and confessed while Travis was still alive because her bishop would then have promptly contacted Travis' bishop and Travis would be called in.

The fact that Travis went to his bishop and confessed after JA moved back to Yreka means that he 1)promised not to see her again, and 2) was put on probation (possibly disfellowshipped which means can't receive communion or bless people)...but he wasn't excommunicated because he came forth voluntarily. If he sinned again, he would certainly be excommunicated unless there were mitigating circumstances (such as being tied up and forced).

We see this in his behavior when he did not follow through on his plans to visit JA in Yreka. He was sincere in his repentance.

When you understand that Jodi might not have known Travis had been to his bishop, you begin to see how the motive was accelerated for the murder. She shows up and he rejects her sexual advances. Over the following hours she learns that Mimi Hall has replaced her on the Cancun trip. She already knows he wants to get married but perhaps thinks the secret travels/sexcapades are going to continue regardless-- until she finds out he has been to the bishop without telling her.

In Mormon culture, it is considered a betrayal to go to the bishop and confess without giving your partner the opportunity to do the same thing concurrently, and thereby avoiding a perpetrator/victim view of the fornication. If you each go to your separate bishops at the same time, or both go to one bishop, it goes much easier on you If you say you are setting a wedding date, it will go very easy on you. Chances are you will not even be disfellowshipped.

With Travis putting his membership in jeopardy if he has sex with JA again, that clearly points to JA's motive to fake a sex scene to go with the phone sex in order to blackmail TA into silence. At this point, she knows she will not remain his girlfriend or his dirty little secret because he is not going to give up his membership for her--no way. That would ruin him at PPL as well. And his ability to sell a book would be nil. An excommunicated person sometimes can't even get work in Utah and some parts of Idaho and Arizona.

Her only chance to continue to prey on Mormon men and meet wealthy ones who don't know her low class morals and social status, is to silence Travis. He foolishly has threatened to expose her to all their friends for the things she has done and the stalking, etc. He knows she is a sociopath but somehow does not know they are DANGEROUS. If he follows through with his threat, she is back to living off tips in her grandmother's extra bedroom.

This is why he had to die. He refused to be silenced and she knew one foolproof way to maintain her ability to continue the Mormon/PPL goldmine she discovered and that was to kill him.

I am sure jealousy was a factor but survival as a female bombshell predator feeding on these virginal returned missionaries was paramount, imo.

I think this is a great theory, but I do have a question.

Do we know that Travis spoke to his Bishop in a way that is consistent with this timeline? I don't remember any testimony of this kind; and I can't imagine that a church official would ever testify to a confession in court -- I know I didn't hear that. I'm interested and think this is certainly intriguing -- but can we substantiate (based on evidence) the essential element here -- the bishop's involvement?

In addition, some responses to your post suggest that if she had gone to her bishop, Travis' bishop would have been notified quickly; why not the other way around? If he had gone to his, why would she need to hear that from him after sneaking in at 4:00 in the morning? Wouldn't she already have received some kind of summons (or however they handle that)?

Just asking. If you folks know, let me know, because this is definitely intriguing.

Maybe waitng for spouse or friend to pick him up. I certainly would want out of that courthouse and into some fresh air after leaving that trial. And I admit that I prolly would go for ice cream too.

If he is supposed to be picked up outside the courthouse I might do the same. Perhaps he could have his ride pick him up at the ice cream parlor.

Thank you for reassuring me. This has had me very concerned, and I appreciate your view and explanation.:seeya:

Zuri, watch part 2 of those interrogation videos. JA even talks about it. This is EXACTLY what happened. Sky even told her Deanna wasted 6 years on TA and he wouldn't commit. This is the 'abuse' ALV is referring to. Check it out!

It's close to the beginning of part 2.

I stayed away from websleuths for 6 hours!

I tied my my hands together and everything!

But...

There was no juror eating an ice cream cone. No grandstanding by Juan. No prosecutorial misconduct.
No abuse towards jodi. No migraines. No jailhouse starving. No biased judge. No evil JeanC. No ninjas. No rope.

But there IS an overwhelming vibe across the world that just wants this trial to prove the guilt of JA and give Travis and his family closure

In Alabama, a "representative" of the victim can sit with prosecutors. I always like for the detective to sit with me. It shows to the jury he/she is interested in the case, it makes the jury feel "accountable" to him/her, and he/she is at times a huge help during trial.

You need to email this motive to JM.

I have NO idea what his email address is. I can barely hobble around here, I don't twitter and the last time I tried I think I tweeted myself! LOL!

Feel free to email anything I've posted to JM or repost anywhere.

Thanks

I'm listening to the unedited video of Jodi's interrogation and at 2:49, she starts discussing her conversation with Skye Hughes, and what Skye told her about Travis, and discussing the email.

Just an FYI for whoever may care.
