You can't "get lost" and stop there on the way to the mother's house because you're basically at the mother's house...He used to live in Lynn and had an address in Marblehead, so the Vinnin area should be very familiar to him.

Why would BM’s mother need to be driven home? Somewhere in this mess there was a photo of BW behind the wheel of a red VW as he exited his residence before the three kids reportedly got into the Volvo with someone else. The VW was stated to be his mother’s vehicle.

If you look at the links @Gardenista posted one page prior to this one, the police say that he told them his mother had recent cataract surgery and was staying with him being cared for - he was supposed to bring her home after her recovery. He then told police that she recovered quicker than expected and had driven herself home; however, he had gone to visit her and run errands for her - specifically, go to Whole Foods and CVS. But video evidence from these stores shows no sign that he ever did was he claimed.

He claimed she had cataract surgery and couldn’t drive so he requested to travel away from home. But when questioned by police, he switched that story to she recovered quickly and drove herself home. He said he went to her home to run errands for her but became lost. (Per court documents).

I think she had some NYE champagne, and finally told him she was taking the kids to DC with her, while he dealt with his sentencing aftermath.

He probably snapped and then had to scramble to try and deal with his impulsive violent reactions.

Agreed. I have family in this area and these places are all pretty near each other - not an area you would easily get lost within.

LE only learned Ana was missing on Jan 4th... so, it couldn't have been before that date anyway. I'll have to go back and find out when they first arrived at his home.

That's what I'm wondering. He may not have had the chance to dispose of her yet. When did the police show up at his home? Was it the 3rd or the 4th?

IANAL, but would the police have probable cause for a warrant to search the Swampscott property for Ana if they can not find her? His mother enabled him big time, maybe sadly in this too? Swampscott is right at the ocean too. My heart breaks for the 3 little boys.
