Apologies if it's been brought up before and I missed it; obviously this thread is moving quickly.

Was it ever identified if Ana actually had a ticket booked for the flight she was supposed to take on 1/1/23? I have seen some discussion regarding if the "work emergency" was real or fabricated, but nothing about a ticket or flight number, etc.

In my experience, people who are extremely effusive in talking up their spouse and marriage on social media are often some of the most unhappily married people I know. MOO
'
yes...an absolute with social media, in my mind....

WHEN did Ana get the Maserati? Wasn't it a possession of BW's father??
I feel certain they were already living way above their means, regardless.....

but she coo'ed about how wonderful her husband was to her for the Valentines Day present!!

Full story now posted on Fox Boston website.
According to this public incident report, Ana Knipp (her maiden name), told DC Metro police that Brian Walshe, “made a statement over the telephone that he was going to kill her, and her friends.”

Ana added Brian now lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

Brian Walshe is not named in the report, but Ward’s sources indicate the suspect here is Brian Walshe.

The report lists the potential offense as felony Threats, but Ana never cooperated with DC Metro Police, Brian Walshe was never charged, and the case was closed.

I'm trying to read the writing on the other side of the box. It seems to me that this was written on the night of NYE, when her, BW and their friend were celebrating together. What I can make out is:

ANA
BWW
NYE 2023!

To the best ________ ( I can't make out what it says)

_________ (I can't make it out)
12.31.22

Maybe they each wrote on one side in red marker to remember the celebration of NYE 2022 and we just can't see the other side.

We are looking at the side written bay Ana, the side we are partially seeing could have been written by one of the other two and there is another side we cannot see? Just a guess. MOO

Edit to add :
For some reason the at the top is not showing up even when I edit it - should be as below:

I agree. I think the box is meant to be commemorative and GM’s NYE reflections are probably on one of the unseen sides. IMO, Brian’s side says:

GEM
ANA
BRIAN
NYE 2023!

To the best Midnight Ever! (it’s all scrunched up)

LOVE BRIAN

No. Ticket was booked 1/3/23 after the holiday to return to work. Employer called LE on 1/4/23 to report she didn't come to work.

To the best
The world's best!

Maybe? The box is creased at the edge so the final word looks short but I think the final word is best and has an exaggerated exclamation point like the one above it, the one we can see more clearly.

From the article:
But on May 21, 2018, Ana Walshe posted on Instagram a selfie showing her bruised eye.

Ana captioned this picture: “Mild Concussion, bruised hip, and a cut. #vulnerability.”

Ana explained it to a friend with six words: “Freshly buffed marbled floors at work.”

Linskey tells me, in light of the DC Metro Police report, this picture can be seen in an entirely different light.

“Oftentimes domestic violence victims will cover for their abusers and come up with excuses for their injuries,” Linskey said. “It could also be considered consistent with that posting, vulnerability, that she’s in a vulnerable place in her relationship and is reaching out to folks through that means.”

no records of any tickets for the 1st. No rideshare, and no ticket.

Just the previously booked ticket for the 3rd.

I took my 12 yr old to Cancun, Mexico ( from USA) and they asked for a certified letter from her other parent allowing her out of USA when they asked for her passport
i guess it just really depends -15 years and 3 trips a year between europe and the usa never happened to me or dad or grandparents, though i have heard it happens, but maybe they are more lax here. i wouldn't expect that she would have an issue to serbia without a document for the kids, but would someone take the chance...

In the US both parents need to be present for a minor to apply for a passport.
I had US passports starting when I was 7, and my mother did the paperwork and went with me for photos. When I was 16, I was able to go to a post office alone to get one. My father was not involved and signed nothing. That was a long time ago, and I don't know about now.

but i think this is 2 different things- not applying for a passport - it was in regards to actual travel with minor children and whether they need a notarized permission from the non-traveling parent.

although if i am honest, we were not both present for my son's passport application either though i believe for the first one we did both sign iirc

in any case, i am sure those boys have passports and have been to serbia already, at least the 4/6 year olds.

No. If you look at her instagram post about getting the Maserati, you can see the comment by an automobile salesperson who said he was "glad he could get her into" the car. So he sold them the car/arranged their loan.
In another post 5 years later, she showed the car and said she missed it, so they must have gotten rid of it.

My question is... Who in the hell would smile like this when they've just been arrested for misleading detectives in the investigation of their own partner's disappearance?

Just the previously booked ticket for the 3rd.
Perhaps she invented the work emergency so she could leave home earlier than planned to consult a divorce attorney.

Hmm. Someone commented on the bruise pic when it was posted, "He told you twice! " I'm wondering about the context -- was it a genuine accident witnessed by that guy? I hope he clarifies because people are being awful to him on Instagram, but it doesn't sound like the "he" referenced was Brian...maybe her boss or the property manager told her to be careful on the slippery floor in her stilettos?

Also of note, her handle used to be ancili83.
