Unintentionally. Context of testimony matters a great deal, in discussion, but is so often missed out. IMO

Kerry Roberts could have lied, if she was so inclined, and testified at trial that she did hear Karen saying that. But she hasn't. I find her completely credible.

I don’t find her at all credible, because she, imo, lied to the Grand Jury. She either HEARD KR ask JMc to search for hypothermia or she DIDN’T hear it. There’s really no middle ground. Do you know the original question she misunderstood?

I have never in my life seen a judge not allow an attorney to effectively question a witness on discrepancies between their current and previous statements. Is this some weird Massachusetts thing?? This is infuriating to me! The judge's tone, excessive sighing, and choice of words leave no room for doubt regarding her disdain for the defense. It is completely unprofessional and, in my opinion, prejudicial in a way that could very easily affect the jury. This is making my blood boil. IMO MOO

My response was directed to the OP who said there was no snowstorm that night at 12:30am. It's ridiculous to claim there was no snowstorm when the snow began before midnight and carried through the night and into the next day, resulting in a storm that some called a blizzard and others called a NorEaster. At what time does a snowSTORM begin after it starts snowing?

I am actually verified here in trauma. I did not see a trauma response in her at all. I saw evasiveness, contempt, and I am smarter than you. I didn't see memory lapses. She was defiant. Someone with true trauma memory lapses would not act this way. They would normally draw into themselves, be tearful, be mad at themselves for not remembering, be sincerely apologetic, etc. She was not those things. The last thing they would be is the things she was emoting. That is just not how trauma response presents. They are normally very embarrassed when they cannot remember. They can even just shut down.

ETA: She would not be in such a hot seat, if she would tell the truth and not have so many inconsistencies. Jackson could not try to trip her up or catch her in lies if her story stayed consistent.

If she is dealing with the result of such complex trauma she could have brought a support person with her and she could have asked the court for a break when things were getting too overwhelming for her so that she could ground herself again in hopes that her memory would return in a better state once she was out of fight or flight. However, I think that she was in a constant state of fight or flight because she had to be constantly worried about being tripped up. You could see her being hyper vigilant with her eyes, trying to prepare for what would be thrown at her next instead of trying to keep calm and just tell the truth.

Thank you for that observation. I agree with all that you mentioned. People with a real trauma response behave very differently than what we saw. Just because Jen kept saying over and over again that she was in a state of trauma (so rehearsed!) does not equate to her being traumatized.

2.) Was it ever explained why the door bell camera footage from JOKs house was missing?
3.) Was it ever explained why the camera footage from the library was missing?

I think the "beef" that night was likely between John and Higgins. Based on Higgins' interest in John's girlfriend and whatever the heck was going on with them a few minutes before at the Waterfall.

Not saying Higgins was the one who delivered the fatal blow to John's head. Just that the spark that started everything was probably between those two.

Was she mistaken or did she use that time to fit a narrative? She’s proven herself to be dishonest over and over. This may have been a narrative that backfired.

So the question becomes, who's vehicle was she really seeing at 12:45 in the exact spot where she thought KR's SUV was? Was it the jeep that she was looking at at 12:45? Or someone else's vehicle? Her story did not make sense.
