Wolfe on Welcher's static "testing" of where the arm lines up with the tail light is "basic", he almost laughed lol

Basically saying, the arm moves, anyone can change the position of the arm to align with it.

Blue paint test... it leaves the door open, doing it at 2 miles an hour, what happens at 10? 15? or more. This test doesn't answer any questions for us. Not aware of him making any force calculations. No impact testing that Welcher did. (he has all of Welchers report and notes)

Jackson pointing out Welcher 'dressing up'.. a few times now.

You are saying the FBI did a wonderful investigation and answered all of the questions I had, which resulted in information so helpful to the defense that they put her on the stand but didn’t address any of those questions?

Or the FBI didn't’ answer those questions- or answered them in a way not helpful to the defense-
But the Defense put her on the stand for a reason not related to the sallyport observation.
What was the reason, I’m missing it

IMO
All the information in the 3000 pages of documents involved in the FBI release have not been revealed to us. No telling what questions were or were not answered or allowed for the general public.

Federal investigation

In February, the U.S. Attorney's office provided over 3,000 pages of documents about their investigation into the case. Defense attorney Alan Jackson said in court Tuesday that included in the paperwork was information about federal investigators hiring a reconstruction expert.

"The federal investigators hired, independent of us, we had no idea, and independent of the Commonwealth, hired a professional reconstructionist, three PhDs, to look into exactly this issue," Jackson said. "Did Karen Read's SUV make contact with John O'Keefe? And their conclusion, to a person, was his injuries were inconsistent with the damage on the car. The damage on the car was inconsistent with having made contact with John O'Keefe's body. In other words, the car didn't hit him, and he wasn't hit by the car."

A shift ending doesn't mean that you left the police station? Is there footage of her movements?
haha....I am sure those were "accidentally" deleted!!

he is showing pictures, explaining the tail light and the damage. The diffuser and what it tells him.

Have to have enough force to not only break the tail light, but the diffusers inside.

ahhhh he 3d printed the tail light!

ETA: he printed the bracket to hold the 2 lights together on an exemplar tail light.

Interesting take. If I’m on the jury, and it’s clear that this woman made statements to the FBI that indicated wrongdoings by her co-workers, and then comes up with this false memory BS, I’m thinking why wouldn’t someone tell her she is committing perjury by lying to cover for her fellow officers? That is exactly what happened - she perjured herself. Jmo
Her hostility and faux outrage is even more damning IMO. Can she really not see why everyone thinks she is committing perjury?

If Devers in fact did perjure herself- how will we find out?
For her life- I’m not sure it matters. Being pulled into this high profile case did her no favors.
I cannot imagine what the KR minions are doing to her on social media.

If there is an advocate for witnesses that helped her prepare- they need to be fired.
I’ll be curious to find out what actually happened

The Judge is trying not to seem biased but the looks on her face show her disdain for the defense. IMO

the outer material is 5mm in thickness... the inside diffusers are 3mm in thickness... the gap is an inch or inch and a half.

enough force to break the inside of the light, and this was significant to Dr. Wolfe.

Now showing the fragments found at the scene.

I need to pack to go away for the weekend.. they could have waited until Monday to call Wolfe LOL

OK, so what was the reason the defense called Devers to testify? I can speculate

I can speculate that she thought she had important information, and went to the FBI.
When she changed her testimony- for whatever reason, she felt pressure from the defense.
The defense knew she protested that they had pressured here, and tattled on them.
So the defense called her on the stand to admonish her in public, which they did.
My speculations only

If not- what was the reason? I’m missing it

Jackson asking questions about who hired him.. anddddd Brennan objects and sidebar.

As a juror, don't the objections stand out to you? they always do to me, for either side. lol
Didn't this jury already send a note to the judge about this?
IMO.

With the attitude problems and false memories IMO she doesn't need to be in LE.

Ok, I have no opinion as to what she needs to be doing with her life.
My guess is she will be hiding for a while. The public is going to make her life miserable-

So, it was a nothingburger the defense pursued? Why was she called to testify?
We watched hours of the Prosecution literally pulling teeth with Russell…

The Testimony of Devers may have lost jury points for the defense

Devers eluded to the fact that the defense had threatened her with perjury. It is possible some on the jury who feel unsafe in this high profile trial may have issues with a young single rookie cop being pressured.

JMO
One lie, two lies, three lies....when does it end?

1st lie: "I don't know why I am here."

Regarding the smashed to bits tail light ...... Has no one considered that JOK might have been wearing a titanium elbow guard packed with "outward facing explosives" like some types of land mine?

Because they thought she would testify to the same thing she originally testified to?

I mean, she did lie, I thought that much was obvious. JMO

It is not obvious to me that Devers intentionally lied any more than it is obvious why she was put on the stand.
She appears to have changed her testimony and provide reasons why. Her intent to me is not at all obvious- it is speculation/ assumption.

From her point of view- it doesn't matter if she lied or not- because most people seem to think she did.

Jackson trying to get Wolfe to explain what Welcher did and didn't do, and we get another objection.

Trying to get out that Welcher did not use the core equations of physics to come to his conclusions.
