Here is the most recently amended slip for count 2.

I don't see how this amendment resolves any of the Jury's questions.

The jury want to acquit KR on all of the charges on this list, except for OUI - where they are deadlocked and unable to reach a unanimous verdict.

Judge Beverly doesn't want them to do be able to do that. She is insisting they either convict her of OUI or are hung on count 2: Manslaughter and all of its' lesser included charges.

Or just acquit her of the whole lot I guess.

MOO

--Her desire to be front and centre of most everything.
--Her inappropriate back and forth texts with the creepy cop while she was currently in a relationship with the victim.
--At every side bar, her apparent need to not act like 99.9% of all defendants and just stay at the defense table and let the lawyers do what they're getting paid for.
--Her posing on the steps of the courthouse. The man she loved is dead here. Show some respect,
just fyi - defendants are ususally offered headphones/ear buds to listen to the side bar from the defense table but the judge would not allow that - hence you see Karen at the side bar.

She is a smart woman who is very invested and involved in her defense. I don't see how it can be offensive to anybody unless it's perceived as "uppity"/who does she thinks she is ?

I’d love to get a notification if the jury has a question or comes back with a verdict. I’ve got to get some work done today 😂. Is there a website where I can do that? I’ve checked CourtTv, Law & Crime, nbc10, and Boston25, but haven’t seen a spot to sign up. Thanks!

Not me. I hope she stays in the limelight and continues to expose the grave injustice placed upon both the victim and her. It takes someone with some courage and audacity to expose this kind of government and system malfeasance. Go get ‘em I say.
She will stay around. imo. There is still the doc series, film crews are out around the courthouse and the wrongful death lawsuit that was filed last year. moo

I hope she’ll find herself working in the legal field after all of this.

I think Emily D Baker has an app or something on her site that gives you notifications even on the free plan.

I've amended my post - it was the blood on the back of his pants she was referring to. I've linked the testimony there with timestamp.
Thank you! I appreciate the time you took to dig that up for me! 😊

Dr Scordi-Bello did not state he was not hit by a car.
Dr. Scordi‑Bello stated clearly under oath:

  • No physical evidence on O’Keefe’s body definitively showed he was struck by a vehicle.
  • The injuries observed could just as plausibly be the result of a fall or other blunt trauma, not necessarily a car collision.

Her testimony cast significant doubt on the prosecution’s assertion that he was run over by an SUV.
