This is interesting... Barros did an interview tonight.... Lally didn't show him the photo before the 1st trial because Barros told him that if it's a picture of it smashed, that is NOT how it was in Dighton, they would also have to share that with the defense.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to breakup the light into 47 pieces and scatter the pieces at the crime scene, we can thank for their over-the-top but utterly ridiculous attempt at evidence planting. The fact that they made this so glaringly obvious completely sunk their frame up attempt, and sunk their case.

As I understand not a single expert ruled out he was hit by a car. The defense played a deceptive game in tricking people into believing they did, which seems to be crucial in creating reasonable doubt. Saying injuries were 'not consistent' is not the same as excluding he was hit by a car!

It should be obvious that being hit at low speed does not necessarily injure someone. You can go on youtube and see people get hit at high speed and fly up in the air and get up uninjured. So the idea John must have had broken bones or bruising because he was knocked over at 20mph is just not true.
IMO - In 3 years & 2 trials, even the CW couldn’t come up with an expert who could say his injuries WERE consistent with being hit by a car. Does that not count? MOO

Gosh the CW must be a real pack of idiots to bring this to trial and lose this case twice when the evidence is so obvious. Good thing we have made for tv summaries.
IMO - Stop it please ha ha, you are making me want to buy a subscription to be a guardian so badly, just for the laughing emoji! MOO

It was proven that she really didn't Google it at 2:30am, she did it when Karen asked her to closer to 6:30am.
IMO - Personally, I believe the FBI investigation above all & I believe their experts about what time that google search was made. Happy to disagree though, that’s exactly what this forum is for. Differing opinions based on our own individual perceptions. I find it fascinating. MOO

I truly hope the Feds are still involved in this. I'm all honesty, how much more has to be shown they knew she didn't do it and still put her through two trials? You have the lead investigator caught in multiple lies, tampered with and manipulated evidence, chain of custody issues and now the prosecutor knowingly hiding exculpatory evidence. Just keeps getting more and more ridiculous

Jury foreman was on the Today show this morning. He didn't want them to use his name.

He says Karen Read is innocent, he saw her as innocent and they had to prove her guilty. He doesn't believe she hit him with her car. They asked him who did it then, he said 'that's not my job'

How friends and family are handling this NG verdict.

John's friend John Jackson lays right into Vinnie at the beginning!

I saw that. His name is no doubt out there now if it was not before.

I hope that over time some of his friends and family can look at the evidence more objectively.

It's hard to understand how they can't understand that some of the jurors believe that JOK was not hit by an SUV and believe she is innocent.

I feel bad for the family. I hope that they can try to find some peace.

I saw this John Jackson interview. I think it must be next to impossible for the family and friends to really understand how corrupt and what a "blue line" really is in the Boston and Canton PD and other LE. This problem existed long before JOK. Their son, brother and friend was part of the PD and they don't want to believe that any of these people could be covering up for some drunken actions that went way too far that night. They just will never see it. John Jackson mentioned family should just be left to grieve now but will that include yet another court case for money that is not there?

Not looking to be launched into by anyone here... but is there any proof that John ever entered the house?
I didn't follow the first trial and only started taking an interest after the 2nd trial ended.

There was enough reasonable doubt for me to vote NG for that reason alone. But I will say I am shocked that in all this time we don't have one person indicating he actually came IN the house. So I am left to think that something happened at that garage area but again the only evidence that he went there at least to the side door was Karen's words. A car did not kill him but what did is still a mystery. I do firmly believe the Alberts were up and knew what was going on..The family should have demanded answers from the investigators early on and not just let the focus go to KR....all options should have been on the table. At this point this will just become some TV movie and interviews continue. I see that Alessi and Yanetti are considering diverting their focus now onto YT or podcasting? I was sort of disappointed in that. They have said everything now there is to say. I sort of like Jackson's approach....probably back in LAX working on his next case and being with his family. I think he might do a couple of interviews but is not swept up in the limelight as the other two.

I did not follow this case as passionately as I've followed others. However, I think the jury reached the correct verdict based on the evidence presented. There was more than enough reasonable doubt for a not guilty verdict, IMHO. And I am usually the one screaming, "GUILTY!" LOL.

Thanks for your interpretation, Turaj

I saw an interview that Paul OKeefe was speaking of being at the hospital and going in to see John for the first time since he passed. He said the most obvious injury he noticed was his eyes. They were swollen 2x their normal size. Like ping pong balls he said.
(To me, this indicates he was in a fight, imo.) Even if you think KR was guilty wouldn’t you want to be open to possibilities he may have died another way? IF you want to get to the bottom of who killed JOK?

They certainly did not go with a middle aged white man jury (understandably!).
The foreman was very soft spoken and he said some interesting things.
That he considered her innocent at the beginning and still at the end.
That putting the family through this again would be hard on them if they re-opened the case.
That it was hard to sit through just 8 weeks of trial.
