Bumping for Miss Sandra... any news at this point would be progress... The holidays won't be the same without you.

In my opinion:

The state police have been involved so I'm sure all possible evidence has been obtained. I believe they have a good idea who is involved and are gathering and processing evidence. In the digital age, the movements of a suspect(s) on a certain night will be well known, better than the perp(s) is aware of. But law enforcement "knowing" what happened, and pressing charges for conviction are two different things.

In case where more than one perpetrator is involved, as I believe is the case here, LE can bring pressure to get someone to talk, and if needed- connect the final dots, including the location of Sandra's body.

While we will be angry that one of the responsible parties in a murder got a very lenient deal, that person will have acted in their own best interest and will not suffer the same fate as others involved.

Who will talk? One of them will...
Exactly my thoughts.

Thinking of Sandra this holiday season.
If anything happened, would any updates be clear? I have checked the findsandracrispo.com which seemed to be run by the daughter and I can’t find anything. If something had come up, is it possible the public wouldn’t have been informed? I doubt the family m realize there’s a random girl in her 20’s from California constantly wondering how they are doing...

The daughter has said a few times that as this is now an active investigation by the MSP, she's not going to be able to comment on what LE is looking at or if any leads have been developed and what they are.

Having said that, I would point you to a recent disappearance of a 59 year old man in a city nearby to Sandra's. He was apparently found in a few days according to family, the outcome was not a good one, perhaps self-harm. Police have not issued any type of update, not that the public is entitled to an explanation of the circumstances of his death as that should be private, but I wish they would at least say "this is no longer an active search." So I guess what I'm trying to say is, while it's an active investigation right now and the family is still looking for answers, depending on the outcome and circumstances involved, we may not ultimately hear the entire story. Perhaps if some kind of trial is involved we will hear more. But IMO when all is said and done and they have their the answers, the family will want some kind of privacy around this.

Great point. I certainly am not entitled to the answer, I just want to know whether the family got them :(

I want them to have answers too, that's why I stay posting here. I was just trying to answer your question of why we haven't heard any updates on if they are any closer to getting them, so I hope you didn't take my response harshly.

Oh my, not at all! I apologize if it came across that way, you definitely gave me the answer I needed ^_^ I had been thinking along the same lines. I just think about her a lot!

Let's pray and hope 2020 will bring Sandra home.

There are so many cases of people disappearing without a trace that it's scary.

I've read only about half the posts here since August so forgive me if I'm repeating something said by others.
We have a description of what she was wearing that Wednesday (three quarters length pink sweat pants IIRC) and video from Cumby Farms presumably confirming same. Were those clothes found in her home? The answer might help determine when she left the house (Wed or Thursday) to help pinpoint a potential time.
I can think of a dozen scenarios where she would be killed in her home but only two where the body would be removed - a kidnapping or a killer who needed to remove the body because it had evidence. A kidnapping might point to a sexual predator since no ransom demand has apparently been made. Physical evidence on her body might also point to a sexual predator particularly if the bed area was disturbed though she could have scratched the attacker.
I find it very odd that she had no cell phone or laptop (how would she log on to Websleuths?). This does strongly suggest though that the perp did not meet her online. That would suggest to me that it was someone local who had eyes on her - how else would he know she was home alone? I'd be running the names of everyone she was in contact with over the past 30 days and cross referencing that list against known felons. I'm sure it's not that simple of course.

These are all good thoughts but I'll be very surprised if we ultimately learn this was a sexual predator or even a stranger on stranger crime. It's JMO and I could be wrong but following this from the start....it's not the vibe I personally get.

I DO think her body was either removed from the home to conceal evidence of what happened, or what's more likely to me is that perhaps she wasn't at home when she died. I think she left with someone she knew.

She does appear in the Cumberland Farms video wearing the outfit described, and to my understanding those clothes and shoes are missing along with her handbag. I think a big clue to her leaving Wednesday night as opposed to sometime Thursday is the diapers left in the kitchen trash. I don't think anyone would leave diapers in regular trash indoors in the heat of August for any length of time.
