My point exactly.
The Snapchat message about not getting back in is also contained in the links. We also discussed ad nauseam the closing times and standard practice of locking doors at 1:30 even by a poster here who owned a bar. So not a good night to let the door close behind you.

I hope Im not adding ad nauseam ! I think different bars do different things even on different nights and depending on who is working. This has been my experience. I have not seen the vdeio of Zach outside the BiH. or maybe it was just a still shot provided. (?) I recall reading that others were going back in, but I have not seen a link for that , so does anyone know for a fact about that? Iow, if that's actually the case then the door wasn't locked. (others going in or back in)
The, "Stuck outside" text bothers me a lot bc his coat was inside. I just think something is missing from this puzzle. Even ad nauseam, I'd likefor someone to get to the bottom of it so the chances are decreased of that happening to someone else. EVen if it means , for a start, putting huge signs on the doors so people know they cant re enter after a certain time OR that the doors will lock from the outside if that is what happened. IDK. It is just so sad. Poor dude was celebrating his birthday. Damn.

This was on Yelp review of Bell and Hand...January 2016 Not good. Doesn't sound like they are full of compassion.

"What really got me was their lack of security. The 2nd door guy who scanned the IDs once you were inside had disappeared. I think he was just outside hanging with his bouncer buddies. Well, unfortunately, there was a pretty serious issue right by the door. This poor girl was alone, HAMMERED to the point she was falling over asleep while attempting to stand, and not one single staff member went to help her and make sure she was ok. I had to go to the lady bartender on the first floor and have her get help for this young lady. It was absolutely ridiculous. First, how can you let someone in that is THAT drunk. Her money is NOT worth it. Second, if she wasn't like that when she got there, how can you serve someone to that point and NOT KNOW IT?!!!

Come to find out, they tried to put her in a cab but she refused. They have no idea what happened to her. Good job guys, real good job. I know they think everyone that crosses their threshold must be some raged out college kid, but that is simply not the case. Can't say I'll be back."

I just feel awful that a happy occasion turned so horrible for Zach and his family. Sometimes life is so unfair.

Where in those links to other stories does it provide evidence that something like that happened in this case?

Could it have happened? Sure. Nobody is debating that.

Did it happen? No evidence yet to support that.

I don't see what relevance the over-serving cases have to Zach's situation. There's no indication whatsoever that he was so drunk that he couldn't be served. Assuming his cousin's account is correct (and I see no reason to doubt it), he'd had about a drink every two hours in the time he was in Boston. He was probably over the limit for driving, but no more than nicely buzzed.

When I falter between suicide or accident I think of some of the initial time laspses..

I have wondered if during that time he scored something harder, injested and it took time . meaning his buzz was actually increasing his buzz as walked along.

I dont know if we will ever know tho --dont know how long tox screen can last if he is indeed in water.

And lots of cash - this one has been relativily covered in local open there....there is just a cruelty feeling to it

They are in heap of trouble -- IMO if they find the pweon responsible I think he/ she can be personally charged IMO

Maybe they can be held responsible, but I'm not sure they will be-unless it can be proved that they threw him out without a coat or any way to contact his friends inside. Something similar happened to Shane Montgomery in Manayunk, Pa 1 1/2 years or so ago-Shane either went outside by himself without his coat (or he was tossed out), couldn't contact his friends inside, and because he was highly intoxicated, ended up in the river. The bar he left faced no repercussions, aside from social ones, maybe

Ok guys time for a brief chuckle !

I hope Im not adding ad nauseam. You are not! Or, we all are !! Can not be one way or the other! Or that is speculation with no links. No worries my friend.

We are confused, sad, and frustrated by lack of progress. Last thread I looked up the currents for like the 13 20 (linked in post) and the highest one was like 1 and mph.

So it seems like they had a couple of days. How far can a soaked heavy go in that current. And it sure seems as if the camera, would give a pretty good start of where he went down no matter the intent.

Zach was not thrown out. Zach by his choice, went outside to have a smoke.

The problem began when he tried to get back in. It was closing time and he was not allowed re-entry.

The bar claims that the video they have shows Zach exiting at 1:20.

I know that the bar also claims that Zach never tried to get back in... but really, his cousins and jacket were still inside, so I believe he tried.

His cousin said he sent a Snapchat saying "they're not letting me back in, let's leave"
She texted him back and said "where are you" and he said "out front"

Just passing tid bits evryone can come to their own coclusions

A relative, who works at Kildare's, told Shane it was closing time and that he left at 1:50 a.m.

We were discussing in broad terms. Some felt that a bar could not be held accountable what patrons after departing the bar. All citations were only about what happened after departing and all the litagtion and awards that occured dierectly involving what happened after they left.

-being bounced or unable to get in have been established.

- no coat provided.

- he contacted friends he was with not any staff

-he is missing

the notion was the legal responsiblites
bars do indeed have............

For Zachary Marr and his family, my sympathies go out.
In my opinion, endless discussion based on unsupported speculation is becoming not only libelous but disrespects the family and the victim.
Out of respect for them and without further information I will bow out until we know something. I will keep checking for news and developments.

:cow:

I'm with you.

Reminder: just because surveillance footage or stills haven't been released, does NOT mean they aren't in the possession of LE searching for Zach.

Notice the gaps in the design. I think the maintenance people know where to walk. It's fenced off from pedestrians.

Upthread there was a picture of the drawbridge from the underside in the up position. The gaps are not something that needs to be repaired.

There is no respect for the victim here with these wild assertions that he was "tossed out" because he was drunk or that he was walking home. Now it's drugs. Sheesh. Supply some links.

-9 degrees with a wind chill of -30 to - 40 that night. He went out for a smoke, doors are locked at 1:30.

I went out on my deck that night for a smoke and got dizzy. I don't drink.

RE There is no respect for the victim here with these wild assertions that he was "tossed out" because he was drunk or that he was walking home. Now it's drugs. Sheesh. Supply some links.

Was looking for an pic ealier in the thread and saw this. Respetfully, It took me back. Wild assertions? That has been the prime "linked"component in every report on air, or in print. IMO not an assertion, but a huge compnent of the entire backstory. Confused me in terms of being labeled an asssertion.

It is a bar, notions about alcoholic consumption, when one does things that make little sense, resulting in being missing IMO is not an assumption, bat a valid cocneern when looking for answers. The drug exploration is in the same vein . At 22 years of age, also a valid discussion when attempting to understand unique beahviors and the conseqences, moo.

I suppose ,if needed, and we know that, we could change bounced out with locked out , either word is reprehsable without a coat IMO.

I do not think he was told to leave!
He said he was going out for a smoke.
he maybe tried to get back in the wrong door and thought he was locked out.
from the photos I have seen he was not just standing there he was moving around.

I think his phone maybe just died!
