If she's officially charged with crimes, what's her future look like? I mean as far as where she'll be kept for the trial, how long will it take to get to a trial, what are sentences like over there for convictions (depending what the conviction is for), etc. If this is asking too much in advance, that's ok. I was just wondering.
It is a bit to soon to tell. The only "sentencing" information we have heard so far was with regards to "child neglect" charges that might have been filed. I believe it was a 4 to 7 year prison sentence for that alone.
There is a case in Portugal (see: http://portugalresident.com/portugalresident/showstory.asp?ID=10046) of a mother that reported her daughter missing and later was convicted of murdering her.
"The Public Ministry has pressed for jail terms of 24 years for the defendants, who are charged with qualified murder, as well as desecrating and concealing a body."
Might be a benchmark to refer to....
