Oh wow! We have our own forum. Thank you, thank you, thank you, mods!

She was on CNN just now* and the newsreader asked her if the fact that the parents were at dinner gave them an alibi.
Part of her answer was that she had heard early on that when K & G arrived at dinner, they said something to the effect that, 'Madeleine's gone...we failed her.' She may have her rumors mixed up (Mrs. Fenn overhearing 'we let her down'). Or not. In which case, some of the Tapas group may have some interesting evidence.

*2:42 EDT, if you want to see the transcript on CNN

it seems to have been ignored by many that She left 3 toddlers alone in a hotel room to go to dinner. That sent up red flags of selfishness and neglect to me and if lower class folks had done this and not doctors they would have been thrown in jail so fast for neglect.

This fact has always bothered me. I don't care if you're only 50 feet away, you're in a totally separate building and a lot can happen in 30 minutes!!! That's why babysitters exist, or you take your kids with you to dinner or don't go and eat in!!!

First time posting on the MM case, but I always thought that something happened to Maddie while the parents were at dinner, too. Maybe she electrocuted herself with an appliance in the bathroom that was left plugged in. Maybe she climbed up on something and fell.

If it WAS an accident, then I cannot understand AT ALL how the parents would cover it up. IF this is what they did, it's truly stunning.

Jdee, your in it! All threads about Maddie have been moved to the forum :)

Thank you Mods!!:blowkiss:

I have trouble leaving my kids to go to the bathroom, let alone to go out to eat. There is so much that can happen to them. Little kids are curious and don't have the sense god gave a goose and that's a bad combination.

John Walsh (American's Most Wanted) on CNN right now...

Bad mouthing the PJ and saying that the parents would never have been putting themselves in front of the media for so long.

Then he called them the McCains.

He thinks the search for the "abductor" should continue....

I can not imagine what happened but I feel like the mom did something to her and have from the start. it seems to have been ignored by many that She left 3 toddlers alone in a hotel room to go to dinner. I wonder if while she was unattended madeline had some sort of accident. Maybe a fall that seriously injured her. Anyone who has kids around that age knows they are capable of MANY things that can cause bodily harm when left alone. Maybe the mom did not directly do anything.
I totally agree, could not have said it any better.

Elizabeth Smarts dad is talking now about it, he says that they offered her 2-3 years if she admits to it. He does not think she did it because she would have left the Country by now and not stayed there.

I have a question about people doubting the PJ: isn't it British LE that brought in the dogs and indepth forensic testing that busted this case open?

I read on the other forum that blood would come out the nose if you broke your neck so that could explain the blood on the wall...

"Steve Kingston just reported live from outside the station that police believe Madeleine died of a broken neck..."

How can they believe this if they haven't found Madeleine yet?

How do they even know if Madeleine is dead?

Could it be possible that they have found Madeleine's body but have not released that information yet?

I found this sentence in Gerry's blog weird. It's like he's bragging because his interview was longer than Kate's:

This is only the second time Kate has been interviewed and although it was a long day, going on past midnight, this was shorter than my second interview which lasted 13 hours!

You know I felt the same way when I read that sentence.
Actually what popped into my head was"well goodie for you."

What if she was climbing something to look out the window for mom and dad and fell and broker her neck, hence blood on the wall, etc. Parents then found her and realizing they would look negligent created the abduction story to get people's mind off od leaving the children.

(rough translation from http://www.correiomanha.pt/not.....81&p=0)

"It roughly says that Kate has explained to the PJ that the cadaver odour is to do with her profession as a GP, having encountered a few cases of death (at least six she says) in her job prior to going on holiday to PDL. When asked about the scent of death on Cuddle Cat she says that's due to the same reason, as she takes the toy to work with her."

Ok thats weird. As a nurse I can tell you that MD's don't take stuffed animals to work with them.

Well... It's been done before. Susan Smith held press conferences about her children's "abductor" to take the focus off the fact that she had already drowned them!
