Somewhere, I've forgotten where, there is an article saying that the other pilot talking to him did not happen. Not sure what to believe anymore.
If you find it, let me know. I've seen more than one with the version I referred to. jmo

It is a report by a fisherman. Text is as follows (I've ignored grammatical correctness in favour of translating the message as given in the pic):
At 08/03/2014 at approximately 0130HRS, I friend of mine by the name of "Pader Rohim" and I, while fishing at Kuala Besar, Badang, saw the lights of an aircraft passing our location. The lights in question were from an aircraft, I was puzzled because the aircraft was flying rather lower than the other aircraft that I have usually seen before this. The aircraft in question was fyling below the clouds from the direction leaving the country. On returning home after sunrise, I heard that a MAS aircraft was missing. End of my report"

Thank you very much for this momrids6.
the guys in an aviation forum state this supposed interaction is not true. Pilot could not have made contact 11 minutes after all communications/radar, etc went down
Seriously, can people stop being paranoid racists! To infer that the co-pilot had something to do with it because he had a muslim name is absolutely ridiculous! Not to mention offensive. His brother is devastated and has already come out and spoken about what a wonderful person he is. If you bothered to educate yourselves, you'd know that over half of Malaysians are muslim and have muslim names. It does not mean they're terrorists!!!!

Is there a credible source of the timing of all communications/radar going down and the supposed communication?
I'm pretty sure since he's the pilot of the plane who was asked to make contact, the people who need to know who he is, know who he is. Not wanting to identify himself to the media means nothing, imo. If they wanted to cover him up, they'd never have quoted him or would have made the story far more innocuous.
Just woke up to the news the plane door confirmed officially found, anything else big? going to try to catch up
That has NOT been confirmed that I know of.
UPDATE [12.35pm]: Reports of an object spotted by the Vietnamese, believed to be a door of the aircraft, on Sunday were not officially verified by Vietnam officials, the Department of Civil Aviation said. No aircraft debris has been seen after 60 hours.

Wow, so they're no closer to finding anything from the plane, this is crazy!
I agree! There are a lot of ships looking, plus that area is highly populated with fishing vessels. Out of all of those vessels, only one fisherman made a report? Really?
O/T I have always loved your avatar picture, makes me giggle every time I see it![]()
