Someone might lie if they are innocent because they don't want anyone to know where they were or who they were with. It would involve having no alibi or getting someone else to cover, but it's another possibility.
That’s a very interesting speculation, very. What in their mind would be so important to hide vs. completely clearing them in a murder case?

  • #202
But that doesn't match up with the information we have, including his own text messages: he said he was working Sunday and Monday; she said she was working Monday. So the days of the week are not what he said and that's not three days off in a row.

I was using Imho's post quoting his June 15th post for the basis of my post. Can you post the texts you are referencing ? Thanks.

If they were out with a married woman perhaps?

A week ago, LE publicly invited wes to come down to speak with them and clear his name. The fact that it’s been a week and no word on him being cleared as a suspect leads me to believe he probably did not accept their offer.

It’s sad that he seems to care more about what strangers on the Internet think about him than what LE thinks. It’s ironic bc if he just spoke with LE and cleared his name with them, people on the internet would probably back off quite a bit. Smh.

Agree. *If* there is a white sedan involved (and we don't know that), I tend to think it's a company vehicle of some sort.

White, black, grays/silvers and "coffee-beige" seem to be the largest majority of car colors around here. I really don't expect to learn the car involved in this case is a company car.

North American Trends
According to PPG, in North America, achromatic colors remain the favorite exterior hues of choice. White is most popular (23 percent), followed by black (19 percent), gray (17 percent), and silver (15 percent).

In 2017, slightly more people chose black than the previous model year. Gray’s popularity went up, while fewer people opted for silver. White was the overwhelming favorite. Red and Blue took 5th and 6th place.

. . . .
Car colors vary noticeably by state, type of vehicle
(2017) White, black and metallic colors such as silver and gold are most popular.
. . . .
What's the most popular car color?
1. White -- 25 percent (unchanged from 2016) [updated Jan. 2028]

BBM. I have never understood his reasoning on this.

The schedule conflicts are discussed back on page 9, possibly also on page 8, of this thread.

Taking a sample from the cars around me, I'd estimate that 10-15% of the cars in Michigan are light-colored 4-door sedans.

While that would be something one would certainly not want known, I think whatever they had to hide would have to have greater consequences that appearing to be a murderer. Something that has a very high price. What could that be?

USA, midsize: 20% white, 20% silver. I don't think the descriptors sedan and midsize (shape vs. size) are interchangeable but there are cars that would be considered both.

Cheating on a partner or doing something unsavory/illegal.
If someone is not guilty it isn't on them to prove their innocence.

This is my understanding:

According to what Wes posted on June 15th:
Sat.:
Ally: No work
Wes: Works (“night”)

Sun.: Neither works

Mon.: Neither works

(“So rather than her coming over Saturday morning and then just sitting at my apartment alone Saturday night while I worked, we shifted our plans to have her come over on either Sunday or Monday evening instead.”)
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

According to the screenshot (time-stamped: Jul 30, 2016, 4:45 AM; attached below) posted on July 16th:
Sat.:
A: No work
W: No work

Sun.:
A: No work
W: Works

Mon.:
A: Works (“day”)
W: Works

Please correct me if any of the above is incorrect.

ETA: It would be nice to know which version is factual and why Wes felt the need to come up with a fictitious one, MOO.

BBM; this is what I would lean towards as far as motive for concealment.

Did he still go into work that Saturday night after finding out about Ally?
I thought he said he did and that's when he found out she was murdered, although I believe there were two different stories (they questioned him and took his stuff but didn't tell him why vs. they told him why) both involved him being at work.

I found this post by Wes from March 21st of this year:

“[RSBM]
How I found out... (condensed version)
I had just gotten to the hospital for my shift that night. Security came to my floor and said MSP wanted to speak with me.
When I spoke to them they eventually told me “Ally was shot while she was jogging” but that’s it. They asked for my phone, searched my car, apartment, took my laptop, I basically let them do and have whatever they wanted because they said at the end they would tell me more about where Ally was. ALL I cared about at the time was finding what hospital Ally was at and getting to her. Her being dead wasn’t an option my brain could even imagine.

At the end they wouldn’t tell me where she was at or how seriously hurt she was. Then they dropped me off back at the hospital and told me to “just go to work, try not to think about all of this”.... yeah OK!

As soon as I got back to my floor (keep in mind... I had been gone for hours) my manager grabbed me and pulled me into an empty room. I immediately started telling him that Ally was shot while she was jogging, they won’t tell me where shes at, I have to find out what hospital!

Then he says, “Wes, listen... I hate to be the one to tell you this... I’m SO sorry Wes!”
And then he slid his phone in front of me with an article he had pulled up. The title read, “Jogger fatally shot in Holly”. I’ll be honest, I don’t even know if those were the exact words... because once I saw that word “fatally” my whole ****ing world came crashing down around me. It really felt like my own, personal end of the world. It’s honestly hard to describe in words...

So that’s how I found out....

Then again in the text screenshot, he doesn’t even say he is working on Sat. In his June 15th post, however, he says he was.

The above post is very emotional and sounds almost too elaborate to be a lie, but despite all its details, his FBI story did turn out to be a lie.

At this point, I’m just having a very hard time believing anything he has said.

It could be that the "FBI story" isn't a lie. It could be true. The FBI perhaps isn't investigating the murder of Ally, but maybe the FBI is investigating MSP misconduct. MSP Lt Shaw perhaps doesn't know if the FBI is investigating his agency MSP (above his pay grade!), or if he did, he wouldn't admit it to a news reporter.
Our VI news reporter expressed her own suspicions of possible MSP misconduct.

Bbm. How could they show him an article if they supposedly contacted him that night it happened when he got to work or a little after.

Plus if she was shot on Saturday afternoon. Which local newspaper had the story ready and out before his shift ended.

Plus who goes back to work after a shift like that? Smh

They take you from work to explain things and collect your items 8 hrs after her murder.

But then you decide to finish your shift after they drop you back off.

What are we missing?

Smh. Confused here.

Does that mean that we cannot believe any LE statements on any crime because the may be being investigated?

Did Wes meet with the FBI after he told us he was going to? It was a few weeks ago. He was very eager to talk to them, but the meeting never happened. We found out he was not working with the FBI or with law enforcement the way he tried to lead us to believe. So The "FBI story" was a lie.

I’ve said it before but. Wes is a liar.

Ikr? After all the lies it's hard to believe anything he says. For instance, he said his dad gave him a gun but I don't know if it's true because his dad isn't here to verify his story. He said Franz wore sandals in December, but without a picture of said sandals and Franz's face I don't believe him. Etc.
