Because he basically killed a random girl while she jogged with a gun because she would not get in the van. Seems there would of been a passenger with him when he did it. So maybe he tought somebody the same thing.
Why would there be a passenger?

Willis could of told somebody how to abduct and rape woman or tought someone how to do it.

As could any newspaper nearly every day... or other articles, or internet searches, or .... a bazillion ways someone can figure out how to abduct and rape, or they can just wing it on their own...copycat or new MO

We are so far off-track for our usual threads at this point. it is r=making me so sad and discouraged that we aren't having discusssions of what we do know, how we might be able to.

Post on your FB, tell your friends, put a poster on your car ....

Can anyone find a more current poster? What is the reward at now?

Very true, just wondered if the Le looked at it is all.

How anyone "learned" to abduct or rape is not needed in order to make an arrest, it's the fact that they did it that will matter. When we know who the murderer is here, we can pick this apart to our hearts' content, but it will not move the investigation or discussion along in any direction by such speculations,, will it?

This seems to have become the "Wes Did It" thread.
But I think Wes did not murder Ally.
I am interested in alternate theories expressed by others, including your theories!

I have not really followed this case. Just found it interesting that Willis killed a random jogger in the same fashion. The boyfriend very much could of done it. Just wanted to put my two cents in, lol

And Wes did his best to make it a 'Franz did it', thread.

Not rumour then imo. And its far from petty when LE are concerned. LT Shaw is just the mouthpiece - we don't even know the investigator's name on this case, two years down the road.

Who is "we"? Law enforcement has no obligation to disclose who might be investigating a particular case or other detectives assigned to the case. Do you know for a fact that "we don't know" the name of the investigator/s?

  • #313
I think everyone is redirecting to the right focus; Ally.
LE apparently knows the ex, and will proceed with that investigation if, and as they deem appropriate. We aren't really needed there, IMHO.

Where our collective sleuthing can be very valuable, IMO, is on alternate theories, many of which have been aforementioned. I think the whole WS back and forth is a distraction. LE's got that.

I'm still hung up on the white sedan and trying to figure that out, if in fact it is relevant.

All just this amateur's opinion! Love y'all!

Thank you. I don't really think they were killed in the same manner, but you never know. I personally think one was targeted specifically because of who she was, the other a stranger-random selection. But I could be wrong and not set in my ways yet. Your two cents is as good as mine.

It would be good to know the name of the officer who conducted the lie detector tests and the names of the investigating officers. A press conference would be good too rather than Lt Shaw just throwing spaghetti at a wall. They need to do more if they want an arrest.
Where is all this coming from about MSP misconduct. They are working very diligently on this case. There are four investigators and no, there is no reason we need to know their names. Why do we need to know their names? What purpose would that serve. They need to be left to do their jobs.

Well of course, Wes suggested it.

Yes, for heavens sake let us support our LE not be critical of their efforts. Their work loads are huge, and for the most part, all they hear is criticism. I stand with them and respect them tremendously.

One of the questions Wes never answered, despite being asked multiple times, was the color of his car.

Now we know that (as posted by Tricia last Thursday):
"Wes did not drive a light colored car when Ally was killed. His car was black and it may have been a Mustang or Chevy of some sort. Can't remember but yes, it was a black car."
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #3

The vehicle witnesses say they saw "traveling at a high rate of speed on Fish Lake Road around the time Brueger was killed" has been described as "a white or light-colored four-door sedan."
Mystery Surrounds 2016 Murder Of Alexandra Brueger

Wes seems determined to clear his name, and I'm sure I would be, too, if wrongfully accused of a crime, especially one as horrific as murder. So I was starting to wonder why he never told us the car he drove at the time of Ally's murder didn't look anything like the one being sought by LE.

Wes' alibi, in his own words, is "I was at home alone sleeping for my shift at the hospital that night."
MI - Alexandra Brueger, 31, fatally shot while jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016

So if true, his car would have been parked outside of his apartment. If Wes is the killer, however, and had to drive to someone's house to borrow a car and/or a shotgun, his car would likely have been seen outside the residence before, during and after Ally's murder.

If someone were to come forward today and say, "I read online Wes Sutherland drove a black Mustang, and I just realized I saw a black Mustang/Chevy in so-and-so's driveway that afternoon," or find a photo taken that afternoon showing the vehicle at the residence, not only would it seriously damage Wes' alibi, it might even prompt a search of the residence and property of a possible accomplice.

Could something like that be why Wes never posted what his car looked like?

All MOO

BTW, there is a picture of a black Mustang with caption "My Car" on Wes' Myspace page: wes sutherland Photos on Myspace

There may be more, but these are the ones I was able to find:

1. Jun 24:
“Just an FYI...
It appears as if there’s possibly a new investigative team working on Ally’s case... it also appears as if the FBI are now heavily involved.

So Why the FBI? Well... I have reasons to believe Franz fled to Germany after the CWD interview where I claimed that i suspected him. They seem to have questions regarding his current whereabouts.
I plan on meeting with them next week to discuss my theory of Franz’s possible involvement in Ally’s case and why he might have felt pressure to run.
I’m fully aware many of you are desperate for answers and disagreed with my theory in the past. However, Any info I feel comfortable sharing after I meet with them next week... I certainly will.“
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

2. Jun 25:
“I plan on meeting with them this week or next. We have yet to set up an appointment. I don’t want to give inaccurate information so these are admittedly my speculations for why the FBI might have got involved.
Let me meet with them and I will have the opportunity to give new information with a great deal more accuracy. I hope to be as transparent as possible during this process so bear with me.
Thank you”
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

3. Jun 25:
“They [The FBI] contacted me and my family. And YES, it would be very easy to discredit my concerns about Franz leaving the country.... but they have yet to deny those concerns.

ALL we’ve been told this far is ‘we have agents in Germany and if we need to bring him back to the country.... we will!’

So take that quote however you want... again, I need more time to talk with them to verify this and other information.“
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

4. Jun 25:
“I plan on staying on top of this and will let you all know any new info I find out. Again, just bear with me.”
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

5. Jun 25:
“OH...He [Franz] definitely a suspect!
But I don’t think that prohibits him from going to Germany...”
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

6. July 4:
“This meeting [with the FBI] has not happened yet unfortunately.
I called this new investigator (who my new point of contact) and left her a voicemail early last week.
I basically asked her to get back with me with a date and time for us to sit down and really go over everything I know from the very beginning regarding Ally’s parents and that this was going to take some time.

So then last Thursday, after she still hadn’t contacted me back yet, I texted this investigator a batch of screenshot messages regarding Franz...
[RSBM]
The investigator replied that she was currently out of town and would be back this week.
She thanked me for the screenshots I sent her and said she was going to print them and go over them, and she would be contacting me soon so we could sit down and go over everything.
So that’s where we’re at right now....”

7. July 17 [Answering questions “Have you heard back from the FBI and/or the new investigator? and “So no updates?”]:
“All I can really say at this point is believe one of Nikki’s relatives either cracked, or is about to crack... can’t elaborate beyond that, sorry.
We’ve been texting back and forth but no face to face meeting yet. She told me she wants to do more research into new info I’ve already given them via text messages first.”
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

8. July 17 [Again answering questions “Have you heard back from the FBI and/or the new investigator? and “So no updates?”]:
”What we really need to do is wait for the next round of articles/interviews that should show up in the next 2 weeks or so.

Do Nikki and Franz even comment? Do they refuse comment?

Does only Nikki comment? If so, we need to watch every word she says.

Will LE give us an actual update?

I’m very interested to see how these next 2 weeks play out in the media.”
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

9. July 17 [In response to statement “I find it odd that you'd be texting info to the FBI ‘back and forth’ if you haven't been ruled out as a suspect. Wouldn't they normally just take a statement? Doesn't make sense.”]:

“I’m texting with this new investigator. I’ve had many back and forth conversations with many investigators since the beginning of all this. It’s actually pretty common, or at least it has been for me.”
UNSOLVED - Mi - Alexandra Brueger, 31, Fatally Shot While Jogging, Rose Twp, 30 July 2016 #2

10. July 18 [Answering question “Do you think the police/fbi are close to making an arrest? Is Franz still in Germany? I haven't seen a post regarding his return.”]:

“Is Franz still in Germany? I have no idea where Franz is.”

For reference, July 27:
“Ally’s killer still at large”

Tri-County Times | Fenton, MI Vera Hogan Associate Editor

“Although no one has been arrested, the Michigan State Police (MSP) continue to aggressively work this case. There has been one change, however. In the beginning, F/Lt. Michael Shaw said, ‘Everyone is a suspect.’ He repeated that on a Crime Watch Daily episode about Ally’s murder, which aired in March of this year. During his interview with the host, Chris Hanson, Shaw said everyone was still a suspect, ‘including mom and dad.’

That, however, has changed. ‘We do not consider the Bruegers as suspects at this time,’ said Shaw earlier this month.

That is because Franz voluntarily submitted to a polygraph test, which was completed in Flint on Friday, April 13. He passed the polygraph conclusively, eliminating him as a suspect.

‘We continue to receive tips and follow up on all of them,’ Shaw said. ‘This is still an active investigation and detectives from the Special Investigation Section are still working this case.’

During that same Crime Watch Daily episode, a former boyfriend of Ally’s, Weston Sutherland, pointed the finger at her parents.

‘You think the parents could have done this,’ asked Hanson during the interview.

‘I think that her father could have, yes,’ Sutherland said.

Franz, who says he doesn’t rattle easily, scoffed at what Hanson called the ‘stunning accusation.’

Tricia Griffith is the owner and administrator of that site, which is a members-only forum dedicated to studying, discussing and possibly assisting in solving open crimes throughout the country.

Ally’s murder has become a popular topic of discussion on the site. Well-meaning members have had daily discussions regarding this crime, especially since one member claims to have inside knowledge of the case.

Although he, too, uses a code name, that member has identified himself as Ally’s boyfriend and claims to have first-hand knowledge about her parents and the case. He also claims to be in touch with investigators and says the FBI is now involved.

Shaw said, ‘Sutherland, still a suspect, has no inside information on this investigation and the FBI is not involved.’
[SBM]
‘Please help us find justice for our daughter,’ she [Nikki] said. ‘Speak up, you can do it anonymously. Don’t let the killer, a puny, impotent coward have another day of freedom. If not for us, then speak up for our dog, Zeus. He still looks for his girl, Ally, every day.’”
Ally’s killer still at large

Thank you for this list. It shows that Wes lies much in the way politicians do. He avoids directly stating that the FBI is involved, but he implies it by making statements saying that it appears that the FBI is involved, by evading questions about his suggestion that the FBI is involved. I never believed that the FBI was involved by reading between the lines. This may be helpful in interpreting all his other statements.
