Wayne County Prosecutor: Decision 'Very soon' in Bianca Jones case

March 13/2012

The Wayne County prosecutor says she'll decide "very, very soon" whether to file charges in the disappearance of a 2-year-old Detroit girl who has been missing since early December.

Police have been skeptical of D'Andre Lane's version of events, but he has denied wrongdoing. Worthy briefly talked about the case Tuesday during a news conference about other matters. She says her office is giving the case a very thorough look.

When asked if charges are pending in the case of 2-year-old Bianca Jones, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy replied "very, very soon" today at a press conference regarding other cases. She declined to discuss specifics in the case.

For some reason I don't remember knowing cadaver dogs also hit on Bianca's blanket. That is FOUR places mentioned above.

The info in the above MSM article leads me to believe they are awaiting forensic results from the crime lab before formal charges are made. The timing mentioned in the MSM article, "very very soon", from the time of the arrest warrant request seems to fall in line with the approximate time frame it would take for results from a crime lab.

I thought the same thing today. It's beautiful outside. Sunny, almost 70. How nice it would be to take Bianca for a walk. Hold her hand and show her all the beautiful things starting to appear this spring. To watch her beautiful eyes look at the world with wonder.


I can't even allow my mind to wonder about the last days she was with her daddy. How frightened and confused she must have been, wanting her mommy and wondering why her mommy wasn't there to help. Why none of the other adults in the home would help. I can't let my mind think about that too much or I'd be bawling my eyes out in a heart beat.

Oh Bianca, now we just wait to find you and bring you the justice you so deserve. We won't forget and we will be here as long as it takes to make that happen. You deserve no less.

He certainly quit taking care of himself. He doesn't have the appearance of a college student looking to better himself.

Considering the story he came up with surrounding the alleged carjacking, it's pretty apparent he's not the brightest crayon in the box.

Excellent post! I had been disappointed with the (seemingly) lack of progress in this case but was relieved by the update yesterday that the puzzle of Bianca's disappearance is still being pieced together and that arrest/s will eventually be made and charges filed at the appropriate time. It's often said that "the wheels of justice turn slowly", but they DO turn.

In the meantime, I've got these Motown lyrics for Bianca's dad: "Got nowhere to run to, (D'Andre); no where to hide."

Though, I wish we never knew of Bianca. That would mean she was alive and safe with her mommy.
