MI - Bianca Jones, 2, Detroit, 2 Dec 2011 - #4 - *D. Lane guilty*

Kym Worthy also goes on to detail why the arrest took so long. Explains a little bit about no body murder cases. Feels confident they can prosecute a no body murder case beyond a reasonable doubt.

D'Andre will be arraigned Thursday at 1 pm.

You know, I think we here at WS have pretty much known all along that little Bianca was no longer with us. But to see it in black and white, right out of the prosecutors mouth- dead, brutal murder-just shakes me up, it really does. Why, D'andre, WHY?

Such a beautiful day outside, birds are chirping, I can hear kids outside my window, just getting out of school, having fun, laughing. But I am just so sad.

RIP beautiful little Bianca. :tears:

No live feed? :(

There was a live feed at the CBS link I posted above. But I don't have working speakers and suddenly my computer is slow so I couldn't add it sooner.

Not sure if anything is still going on. Looking for more info......

I know. Very difficult to hear. and D'Andre's story and performances infuriate me to no end.

How could he?

Bianca didn't stand a chance against D'Andre. And the thought that ANY two year old should have to stand a chance against their biological father makes me sick.

Karma and may D'Andre reap what he has sown!

According to the CBS link posted upthread the prosecutor would not comment on the evidence they have, nor will she comment on whether or not he confessed.

My guess, based on a 1st degree charge, is he did not confess.

It will be interesting to see if DL will confess as part of a plea deal. A confession along with revealing her location. Knowing what we've seen of D'Andre's bigger than life ego, I don't think he will. I think he'll stick to his story and will convince himself he can't be convicted without a body.

Though it would be nice if just once DL would man up with some action behind the lip service he pays about being a man.

Bianca Jones' father charged with murder in disappearance of toddler

By Mike Martindale and George Hunter
The Detroit News

Detroit— Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced murder charges for D'Andre Louis Lane, the father of missing 2-year-old Bianca Jones, Wednesday in the Detroit toddler's disappearance case.

Worthy announced her decision to charge Lane Wednesday with first-degree felony murder and first-degree child abuse several months after Bianca was last seen in December even though her body was ever recovered...

I'm so infuriated with D'Andre, I hope someone finds precious little Bianca before DL can make a deal giving up her location.

I really don't want him to have the opportunity to plea. I'd rather see a 1st degree conviction and having any deals off the table because Bianca has been found.

Please God, please let someone find Bianca.

And on another note, if D'Andre convinced himself his cockamamie story about a carjacking might fly, we can pretty much bet he'll convince himself no body=no conviction. He was wrong once and I can't wait until LE and the prosecutor's office proves him wrong again.

BBM Me too. NO DEALS for him. I kind of think he wouldn't take a plea anyways, just because I don't think he will ever admit to what he did. In fact, I just have a feeling that D'andre thinks Bianca's death wasn't his fault. I imagine he blames Bianca. If only she would have behaved. And Banika. If only Banika would have trained her better. Maybe even the woman he lived with. She should have been disciplining Bianca, not left the child care up to him. And his other children's mothers. Just not giving old D'andre the respect he deserves.

I obviously have no way of knowing this. But for some reason, I truly feel that this is how this 🤬🤬🤬 THINKS. I can see it in him, I just can.

I think your probably right. His larger than life ego didn't have one enormous growth spurt overnight. It's snowballed over years and years of his bs and those unfortunate to have bought it and feed it, are now tangled in this deceitful murderous web. :sigh:

I feel for those taken in by DL's bs. Con man is a huge understatement for this guy. I feel terrible for his other children, who will now grow up without their dad. But then on the other hand, (praying with a conviction) they will be safe from any future harm, and so will the rest of society. I'm just sorry it (appears to have) cost Bianca her life for this to happen.

It will be interesting to see what, if any, statements DL's attorney makes now that his client has been charged. And what more, if any, info will come out.

Thank God! Bianca deserves justice! I hope and pray someone will find her little body soon. She deserves the respect of a proper burial.

I feel for Bianca's mother, grandparents, and the mothers of his other children. Some might have just breathed a sigh of relief! Just imagine the fear they must have felt when he came around their children, knowing he probably killed Bianca and knowing he had a temper that he didn't control. I pray for his other children too. Their father murdered their half sister and probably was abusive to them too. I hope and pray none of them will be scarred for life!

Rest in peace baby Bianca.

Wow!
Child abuse and brutal murder!
Life imprisonment!
I guess D'Andre will find out just what bullying feels like, won't he!
I wonder just how "tough" he will think he is now?
Justice for poor little Bianca, and prayers for Banika and her family. :prayer:

“Whenever you have a case that the evidence shows is a homicide and there is no body, it takes a lot longer to put together. We’re confident we can prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/...alive/-/1719418/9292778/-/j3jnxj/-/index.html

Strange how one paragraph can contain both the best news of the day and the most devastating news of the day. It's like, yay, they have evidence... they can prove their case beyond reasonable doubt and put dad of the year away for good...and then it hits that to prove a murder case beyond reasonable doubt they must have proof that precious little Bianca is dead. Oh no... they have evidence...
