Is it wrong that I hope he wet himself when the verdict was read and on the way back to the cell someone makes him take his wet underwear off so they can shove it in his mouth???

:blushing: I was hoping that he had a sudden bout of explosive diarrhea :blushing:

GUILTY on both charges!

I'm still thanking God!

Bianca, your daddy will never hurt one of your brothers or sisters again, ever. No more of DL's version of Daddy's Love!

He can give the other inmates his verson of daddy's love.

Thank you jurors in Detroit! I feared DL would be out on the streets to breed and hurt more children.

I hope the jurors talk to the media!

DL as the verdict was read.

I don't know how to carry attachments in a quote so here is the post :

He sure has this perplexed look on his face, as if he just doesn't know where it all went wrong. Ya, well, he will have a lot of time to reflect on his actions now.

Do we know when sentencing is yet?

and I sure hope one of the MSM outlets puts out video of DL when the verdict was read. I'd love to see it.

Rest in peace, Bianca. No one can hurt you now.

I think we've always known that this beautiful child has been dancing and singing with angels since last December.

I'm curious about what Banika will have to say about a jury of D'Andre's peers not believing his tall tales? They obviously didn't buy her "stand by your man" routine, either.

This is very inspiring news. I was in the hospital for the past week without a computer. I was dying to know what happened in this case. And may I say...:great::great::dance::dance:

The Victim.

Sleep peacefully little Bianca. This doesn't mean we are going to give up on looking for you. We are gonna keep looking so you can be laid to rest properly.

I hope she doesn't say anything. She's better off keeping her support of her daughters convicted murder to herself.

I wonder if she was in court when the verdict was read. This wasn't the verdict she wanted. Not sure if it was a direct quote, but MSM stated she wanted a not guilty verdict. There are no words for comments such as that from the mother of a murdered child about their childs alleged, now convicted, murderer.

I wonder who of Bianca's family was in court when the verdict was read.

From Donjeta's post above:

He will be sentenced in November.

While I'm pleased with the outcome of this case and commend the jury for their wisdom in rendering a guilty verdict, I don't quite feel like "dancing in the streets". Having been victimized this past summer and knowing that two parties were arrested and charged (credit card theft) in the case, I can't help feeling a sense of sadness for those who are not law-abiding citizens. :moo:

I just found the video of DL while he heard the verdict. I have no sound but still worth watching.

Scroll through the list to find the video re: Bianca's case. It's not a direct link, sorry.

Um, someone want to tell me why DL and TJ are wearing matching shirts? Aren't they a little old for wearing matching clothes? And what's up with them both wearing orange, is that because it's Halloween this month? Reminds me of two year old twins. yikes. Additionally, TJ's use of calling DL a punk or a little punk also reminded me, I have never refered to anyone over the age of 12-14 as a punk. I thought that term was used for bratty tweens or early teens. Lots of TJ handling his client with kid gloves here.

I want to vomit seeing all the comfort TJ is giving DL. It reminds me NO ONE, not one single adult in that home was there offering comfort to Bianca when her dad beat her to death. Yes, Mr. Johnson, that is thinking your hands all over your client is going to cause people to consider. That no one, not one single soul was there for this 24 month old when her adult father beat her to death! :furious:

Happy and sad at the same time here. Happy the jury got it right! Yet terribly sad a precious tiny just turned 24 month old girl was beat to death by a grown man she was supposed to be able to trust to protect her.

I sure hope everyone will keep an eye out for whether the jury talks and if Bianca's family (other than her mother, whom I am sure will claim the jury got it wrong) talks.

Thank you again jurors! And thank you to the prosecution who brought this to trial despite D'Andre succesfully hiding Bianca's body.

I like to think the orange was in preparation for the fashion sense he's going to adopt for quite some time:

"This has been a very long and very emotional case for everyone involved," Judge Vonda Evans told the court.

"He was as surprised as we were by the verdict, based upon what we believe is a lack of evidence," Johnson said. "We're obviously disappointed. The jury put forth a verdict, and we have to respect that. Mr. Lane still maintains his innocence in this."

WWJ Newsradio 950′s Florence Walton reported Lane appeared as if he was going to faint when the jury forewoman read the verdict Friday.

Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Qiana Lillard briefly addressed reporters outside the courthouse Friday.

“Nothing’s gonna bring her back. We just respect the jury’s decision and we’re glad they did the right thing,”Lillard said.
WWJ Legal Analyst Charlie Langton said the outcome was surprising to some. “This was a typical case of circumstantial evidence,” said Langton. “There was no direct evidence that Lane did anything to his daughter. In fact, there was no body, which makes this case very unusual.”

Evans spoke to jurors for about 30 minutes after they rendered the verdict. The group came into the courtroom, with one woman wiping tears from her eyes. Jurors told Evans they did not want to speak publicly.

Bianca’s mother, Banika Jones, was not seen at the sentencing. At her home on Custer in Detroit, a Crimestoppers poster featuring a picture of Bianca and offering $22,500 for information her disappearance still hangs in the front window. No one answered the door this afternoon.

Defense attorney Terry Johnson said during the trial that prosecutors had uncovered no physical evidence, that Lane had been distraught at his daughter's disappearance and that he had cooperated with police.

An appeals attorney will review the case, he added.
