I found this article. It was a month after Nadine disappeared. I couldn't find any follow-up to the identity of the girl. What is Ream picked her up and instead of letting her out alive, he dumped her in the dog run to be mauled.

You Know,Some think it might have Been Carl Watts, but he was at western mi university at the time period that she went missing,(would love to know the street he lived on), Some say it was Arthur Reams But his hunting grounds were more North,North East of Inkster, and at that time of Morning and area Nadine would have made one Hell of a scene(tuff and mean for her age),So She would of had to know this person, someone in that family once told me that if I didn't stop seeing her that they would make sure I would never see her again, (coincidence) Still Blows me away that the Family and Police Still did nothing for all these years, Wonder why her mother never had her declared Dead after all these years,( Still alive somewhere) ~May God Bless Her~

I first heard about this yrs ago, and I am from Inkster as well. It says that she was walking down John Daly to Michigan ave. Was she heading south towards Michigan???? It is a park now on John Daly but I'm pretty sure in 1974 it might've been all woods back then. I could be wrong. But have that area been searched when she first came up missing.

No it wasn't, and it was a park on the west side of street and woods, and just woods on east side,the walk along that part of johndaily was only a block and a half, pretty well open through that area, river runs east to west through there

Tonight, I was watching an episode of Evil-I on the ID Channel that I had saved on my DVR. It was about serial killer Carl ("Coral") Eugene Watts.

Coral Watts' M.O. was to randomly attack and murder women and young girls, almost always attractive and Caucasian. Watts was African American. Most of his crimes took place in either Michigan or the Houston TX area.

Frequently, he would spot his victims walking down the street, and he would murder them without any evidence of sexual assault. Often he would murder his victims right at the spot that he encountered them, but on the Evil-I episode, they did allude to other victims whose bodies had not been found at the time of his arrest. He confessed to many of his murders, but police suspect that there were many more to which he didn't confess. He died in 2007 of prostate cancer.

When asked if he could count on his fingers the number of victims, he told the three detectives that there weren't enough fingers and toes in the room to count his victims. The implication was that he had killed more than 80 victims.

After watching the episode, I looked up his Wikipedia page.

What jumped out at me from the Wiki page was that he lived in Inkster, MI and his killing spree began in 1974.


I immediately thought of Nadine O'Dell, since she was a young attractive Caucasian woman last seen walking through her hometown of Inkster MI in August 1974. This would seem to fit perfectly to Watts' M.O.

This is a very solid theory and sounds like it is the most likely cause of death which is unfortunate. Have they tried to connect him to Nadine?

I continue to share Nadine's images and her details with all my friends and family who still live in and around the Taylor area. I ask them to show anyone they can think of that grew up there. My sister was 16 and I was 11 in August of 1974. We grew up just off Beech Daly in Taylor and I walked or rode my bike around there and my sister walked and hitched everywhere. This could easily have been my family's tragic story. I feel it deeply every day. I believe answers are still possible. I hope they will come soon.
