How do we know for sure he threatened to hang himself in the past? If that comes from Donna I wouldn't believe it for a minute. I think she is a psychopath and totally behind the death of her husband, who Ramsay was close to AND who perhaps protected Ramsay..and once his Dad was gone, maybe he "knew things" about Donna/about what she'd done.....and he was afraid. Based on the many comments I've read online from those who knew him well (past coworkers, friends, etc) I don't believe for a minute that he had any mental health issues - I believe that Donna did a lot of gaslighting where he was concerned, making him BELIEVE he was mentally ill (perhaps even sneaking meds into his food/beverages to make him hallucinate). I think she set the fire in her home so that she would be able to move in with Ramsay and have total control over him, maybe "keep him quiet" about things he might have known/seen with regard to his father's death. I think she was and is a truly evil sick twisted monster who had been for some time. I hope she rots.

I'm thinking the same way as all of the comments I've read from people who purport to know him implied, or stated explicitly, that he wasn't mentally ill.

When I read that Ramsay supposedly said something like, "When my father dies, I'm going to kill myself," I thought he very well might have said that, not meaning that he was actually going to do it, but just in reference to the idea that with his father gone, he'd be essentially dealing with his mother on his own.

When you look at someone who is in the throws of addiction (don't forget there are functioning addicts, I was one) - the easiest way is to look at their face. A person abusing drugs will lose weight in their face, notably looking jaunt. Her hair looks dull as does her skin. I think this is one of those things where addicts can spot other addicts because we get a huge rush from hunting the drug. In order to find your drug you must find someone else that uses, that's why addicts in recovery will still find themselves looking for "signs" (pupils etc).

I'm kinda awestruck that someone mentioned (not here) the day after Rams was found that this saw was used, apparently that rumor was right. Now I'm giving more weight to the other rumors I heard. I think I brought that rumor here back early on (about the saw), I'm going to have to look back and see what else I had said around that time.

This was premeditated to the fullest. If they have proof she purchased the saw before he was killed, then she's done for.

I love how the former lawyer calls her a "real sweetheart".

At this point, I don't believe ANY of the comments made in the past by DS about Ramsay and his mental state, and really believe that she could have "painted a picture" as to how "awful" RS's mental state was to others to help her gain control. If it was someone not living at the house with them, it would be relatively easy for her to make it sound bad and they'd have no real way to see that DS was lying.

Also, while a responsible person would have paid off bills and debts with the life insurance policy from her husband, there is way more evidence that this was not what she'd done. The Rosedale house has not had a water bill paid since before the father died. (Although to be fair, it looks like the water bill was only ever paid when they got the shut off notices due to non payment) RS's condo (which according to reports was being "supported" by DS) has past due 2013 taxes.

Somewhat interestingly, it looks like at some point, DS changed the "owner information" of the Rosedale house to RS's address. I don't get why she'd have done that - while I've only known two who have had to move out of their homes for repairs (one due to fire, one due to flood), neither changed their owner address while they were temporarily at some other address. You'd just get your mail forwarded. I can't see a point in changing it unless you weren't planning on returning back once repairs were completed.

Why hasn't the date when Donna purchased the saw been released? If purchasing the saw was the smoking gun that proved premeditation I bet LE would have release a copy of the video by now.

I haven't seen a date either, and he wasn't active much on social media. I think they are basing things off of body temp (liver) as well as when he was reported missing.

When this goes to trial I hope it is televised. This woman is beyond evil, even if her son had some problems to not only kill him but to set him on fire then chop him up and throw out like trash shows she is one demented witch. I have dealt with a family member with a mental illness, at times it was very hard but never in a million years would I have ever thought to act in this manor. She is just evil and I do suspect her in hastening her husbands demise.Poor Ramsey it seems his mama was his biggest problem.

Im assuming he did because he worked as an insurance sales man. Nothing has been confirmed or denied though.

I'm curious what policies he sold to his mother?

so yesterday I was helping a friend (who just graduated) do the filing for her license for our state. Some laws have changed since I filed. After reading through everything it occurred to me why Donna may have no been back to being a nurse.

When you renew your license, go to get your license, or you work somewhere else - a background check plus your finger prints must be ran. Most places require no criminal background or if you have one, it must be over 10 years ago that you were convicted.. Even though it's a crapshoot because the board will want you to explain the situation first.

Did Donna get arrested prior to the shoplifting? Maybe had it expunged (pretrial diversion program)?

Eric Franks has been missing, his last known location is Buena Vista Twp about 2 hrs away.
Was known to be a loner.

I don't know where you got the idea that Eric was a loner. He was married. He always lived with or near family and kept in touch with his family. He was in touch constantly with Facebooks friends, many from high school, and he was in MI to see a former girlfriend who let him know she had his child 16 years earlier. He was getting acquainted with a daughter he never knew he had until 2010. Not a loner.

Eric's family does appreciate that you thought of his disappearance when you saw the story about the remains found in bags. I heard about that news story, but didn't know where the bags were found or if they were identified. It's such a roller coaster for families of missing loved ones.

St. Clair Shores — A competency hearing has been rescheduled for a 60-year-old suburban Detroit mother charged in the slaying and dismemberment of her adult son whose body parts were dumped in trash bags along a roadside.

WDIV-TV and WWJ-AM report that a Macomb County judge gave Donna Scrivo’s attorney 60 more days to have an independent competency examination conducted. A hearing had been scheduled for Tuesday...
