GUILTY MI - Ramsay Scrivo, 32, found dismembered, St Clair County, 27 Jan 2014 - #2

Defense questioning the investigator now. Investigator was charged with following any leads based on evidence found. Investigator did not check probate records or previous records about Ramsay and suicidal thoughts.

Asking about 2 vacuum cleaners in the home, one upstairs purchased in January (after Raymond died) and one in basement (older). Investigator says it is reasonable that 3 story home would have 2 vacuum cleaners.

Going over evidence taken from the home and verifying that each item is not criminal by themselves (matches in bathroom, air fresheners, gloves, etc.). Prescription bottles were found but only one bottle taken. Only took a prescription bottle for Donna Scrivo for Travazone that was empty. Also found Ramsay prescription for Lovox and Xanax (not recently prescribed).

Found 3 prescription bottles in Donna's purse. Xanax and Synthroid were prescribed to Donna and a bottle of Lovox prescribed to Ramsay. Xanax was for 90 pills, to be taken 3 per day, and bottle had 1 1/2 pills. Based on date of prescription and date bottle found, taking 3 as prescribed per day, there are 10 missing. But Donna could have taken more than 3 per day (per defense).

There were 3 saws in the basement, miter saw, table saw and circular saw.

A forensic nurse examined Donna for injuries. Photographed hand, wrist, arm injuries. Nurse submitted a report which said swabs were taken from mouth, hand, ears. Cuttings taken from finger nails and hair samples were taken. Samples were submitted for DNA analysis, trace blood evidence, and trace cell evidence. Lab found no blood from Ramsay, no DNA from Ramsay, no cell evidence from Ramsay.

Donna had purple green flakes on lips (maybe an injury). Donna had green bruise on the chest, bruise on wrist, inside elbow had round purple green bruise. Scratches on feet, broken scabbed toe nail, red area midsection of the back.


Investigator searched Donna's FB to see if there were any posts pertaining to the case. No incriminating posts were found. Last post was 12/18, after Raymonds death. One post said Donna was assisting someone in fixing their car and she was proud of her superior upper body strength.

Neighbor talked to investigator and gave a statement about a person leaving the townhouse. Canvassed the street where Ramsay lived and the street where Donna's house is). One neighbor reported a suspicious white male walking around. Investigator did not follow up on these 2 reports of suspicious males (investigator had nothing to follow up on and neighbors weren't sure what townhouse the males were around).

Investigator didn't follow up on anything at Donna's house because it wasn't the crime scene and the house was under construction.

Defense focused on why no follow-up on these suspicious males.

Lunch break until 2:00pm EST. I'm not holding out hope they come back after lunch.

I thought the same thing when listening to the call. I can't tell which way the defense is going, it seems either a suicide by Ramsay or killed by the black-clad stranger. But either way, who and why was Ramsay cut up and tossed all over the county. That's the explanation I'm waiting to hear.

Mom accused of dismembering son blames unknown man

She testified that she was in basement, doing laundry, when she came upstairs and saw the front door open, which was odd. She said she went upstairs and a man was in her son's room. She testified that the man said: "Mrs. Scrivo, I didn't know you were here."

Donna Scrivo testified that when she asked the man what he was doing, he said he was killing her son -- saying he was going to shoot him but that would be too noisy and that he gave him some Xanax and bleach in a Coke.

Scrivo, whose Texas drawl was apparent at times, said the man told her to shut up, put a scarf in her mouth and had handcuffs with cushions and took her to her bedroom.

He then went to her son's room, where she testified that she could hear him asking the man what he was doing. The man, she testified, said he was killing Ramsay Scrivo and that Ramsay Scrivo was ruining people's lives.

Donna Scrivo testified that later she could hear her son saying he couldn't breathe and that he called for his brother.

She testified that the man, who had his hand on her hair, wouldn't let her hold her dead son. She also testified that the man would kill others in her family if she didn't do everything he said. She also indicated, when a court reporter re-read her testimony, that the man would have to cut up her son to get him out.
