He didn't hurt her???????? He friggin' killed her!!!!

I just wanted to add that we absolutely don't know how she was killed. Even though police didn't find loads of blood there was evidence of extensive cleanup. Scott did think of some pretty good ways for covering up forensics that we don't often see. Gasoline and fertilizer, that sand stuff used for absorbing liquid spills in industrial environments.

From all the I have read on the case, exercising he right is not what is happening here. The comment in just about every article is that Jason Young is not cooperating, much different that exercising his right.

Howdy,

I have gone back and researched the "not cooperating" charge, and so far have found nothing to explain it. At one point the cops do say they would like to talk with Jason, so maybe that sorta explains the charge.

If Jason will talk with them, the cops will say Jason is cooperating? Sure sounds harmless to me, but evidently Jason and his lawyer know things we don't. I would have to trust my lawyer.

Oh, well, yeah, obviously he killed her. I was just thinking he didn't beat the teeth out of her head?

Cooperate with them to the fullest ---- UNLESS I had something to hide!

Exactly Poco! And I'm left to believe that Jake would do the same thing as jy.

Howdy,

Yes, it would seem logical that I would talk with the cops. BUT I wouldn't trust them. Anything I said could and would be used against me. They think I'm guilty. Why give them anything they can twist and use against me?

Like John Walsh said, he would stand naked in Times square if it would help. All the innocent people that had a loved one missing or killed would do whatever they could to clear themselves so that LE could move on with the investigation. Why do you think John and Patsy Ramsey are still considered suspects to this day? Why do people point fingers at the ones that are uncoopertive with LE in a situation like this? More times than not, they are guilty.

How about love for your wife? I asked dh what he would do and he said it wouldn't matter what the risk, he would do any and everything they asked. He figures they would know he wasn't the killer and even if that were naive, he said he wouldn't care since I was dead.

Exactly

Even if you suspected that, say a small town sheriff had a lot riding on your guilt (when you weren't guilty) there could still be cooperation between LE and you via an attorney, who could safeguard your basic rights but still try and help the investigation?

Howdy,

I've seen the same phrase used before: "....so that LE cold move on with the investigation." Just because Jason won't sit down and be grilled the cops cannot move on and nab the killer?

Really, I think that if Jason knew anything that would help the cops, he would have shared it through his lawyer.

Howdy,

I certainly applaud DH's sentiments, and maybe I could hope to feel the same.

But Jason has a child to provide for. I think whatever it takes, he will provide for that child. He can't do that if he, an innocent man, is in jail awaiting trial.

...or, he, a guilty man,is in jail awaiting trial...

I personally can't wait for the day that he is arrested and made to pay for taking a loving mother away from her daughter, not to mention murdering his son-to-be, too.

Me either.

I really hoped for something to have happened by now.

I can't wait until he is arrested either. I keep checking thinking that today could be the day. It will happen though...sooner or later.

Seems to me the founding fathers also laid the burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt upon the prosecution and further requires a jury to reach a decision. If one is going to believe in one aspect of the so called wisdom of the founding fathers, one should believe in the whole process. An innocent person would bank on the whole process, the guilty believe in one aspect only - exercising the right to be silent. The guilty always manage to pick and choose what aspect of law they will tolerate. I don't buy this argument for one second since I believe the entire process works rather than just the silent part.

I guess the point that I got was that some defense attorneys shut their clients down when their alibi is not firm or provable or when there is nothing the client could offer LE to prove their noninvolvement.

You don't let them talk to LE if they don't pass a private LDT
You don't let them talk to LE if their alibi is less than iron clad

JY has had limited interviews with LE, just the very basics really and a SW was necessary. This may be why?? Maybe he took a private LDT or more likely his alibi is less than ironclad.

Something clicked I'm just not sure what or why lol

To the point and spot on Chico. There is a reason JY can't be bothered to tell the police who all had keys to that house...or who might have had a reason to harm Michelle.

LOL, I have no idea. They may have let her be the first to speak to her mother and then took over the conversation. I'm sure someone else here would have a better idea of what they'd do under the circumstances. Better yet, MF took it upon herself to do so. I know I would.

RC, I have a question about warrants. You said before that we only get to see them after they have been returned right? Unless they're sealed also. For the sealed ones would Jason's lawyer get those before an arrest? Isn't it true that there could be a gazillion warrants that we know nothing about until they are returned?

I'm still wondering about that luggage. Where is it? If the Youngs got a hotel first and unloaded it before going to MF's then that explains why it wasn't in the SUV warrant. Jake also said something here about them still having the two coats belonging to the BIL. I figure he lent Jason one of those to wear. I know LE would want Jason's luggage.

Bumping this up for RC. I know we've discussed many possibilities and aspects of this case for months on end but doesn't it seem odd there aren't more warrants showing up?

Hello Strach !

It really does not seem odd to me that there are so few warrants being returned for public consumption. You will note that many of the returned warrants leave out much of the inventory of items collected (i.e. the residence). This tends to make me believe that warrants with inventories containing true evidence are either not yet returned or have been sealed to prevent release.

As to what Mr. Smith gets - he gets a copy of warrants issued directly to his client - such as the house, the SUV, the computers etc, but that is all he gets. Since his client is not charged with any crime, he is not entitled to any information other than what is public knowledge. Sealed warrants, Smith would not have nor would he have inventory lists of evidence collected beyond those returned as required (what we have seen). LE and the DA is under no obligation to provide any of this information to JY or his lawyer at this point. If JY is charged, indicted and brought to bear - the process of discovery begins then, not now. Hope that helps !

Have a good day Strach !

RC:crazy:

ETA - since Team JY chose the silent non cooperative stance, I have no doubt they are receiving exactly the same in return.
