I'm pretty sure there is another reason, especially if the jewelry box was in the closet and we have been told repeatedly that the drawers were missing and the jewelry was stolen.

Howdy,

It stands to reason valuable jewelry would not be overlooked. But maybe you can tell all of us why Jason would steal his own jewelry? Whoops, maybe I can answer my own question: maybe Michelle willed the jewelry to her sister or mother?

Howdy,

I just checked a photo: the closet door was closed when I was there. The photo doesn't show blood, but shows some bluish/purple stuff on the door frame.

--Jake

Thank you, Jake.

Did you look in the closet? Was there any blood or bluish/purplish stuff inside the closet?

Re the ransacking of the closet: Isn't it possible that the investigators went thru the closet attempting to find something of Jason's -- shoes or clothing, perhaps?

I'm almost to this point.....with certain posters.

Since we're going in circles and speaking in riddles...how much wood would a wood chuck chuck?

Howdy,

I haven't heard anything either. You're probably right, I think, until her will is probated.

Jake, you're messing up the quote format and making it appear that the wrong person wrote the text you are attempting to quote.

Maybe he was trying to make it look like a burglary - he just forgot to break into the house.

No, it's not.. And like you with KM D & K, I'm not explaining

I'd just like to know as someone has told me that it was in Jason's closet and I'd like your opinion, whether it 'was' in there or it 'wasn't'.

TIA
Sami

Howdy,

I've checked my photos, and I see no jewelry box. But I do remember seeing one with two drawers missing on a dresser in the room. This one had been heavily dusted for prints and had bluish/purple stuff on it. This is just my opinion, of course, and could mean anything. Pour salt on it.

Someone mentioned earlier that the possible reason for the friend of Mrs Young/McIntire taking pictures was for insurance purposes. Perhaps Michelle had a seperate policy for her jewelry. Perhaps someone was trying to make it look like her jewelry was stolen. Of course the police report would have to state there was jewelry missing. Maybe they filed a seperate police report. That type of insurance would surely pay out quicker than any life insurance. :twocents:

Thanks Scout - appreciate you clearing that up.

If the jewelry was taken on the night of the murder, it was done in an attempt to stage the crime scene to make it appear that robbery/burglary was the motive. imo

That would mean you < or JTF> opened the closet and went inside to verify the "ransacked" status? Pics of the "ransacked" closet also?
Creepy.

Howdy,

Sorry, I didn't get any photos of the inside of the closet. I did peek in, though, and saw stuff thrown around. Maybe someone else first used the word "ransacked" and I picked it up. I still think the cops could have done some of that, though. But, who knows?

Jake,

I would think that since you say you were in that house you would know if there were two closets or one. Since you admit you have "heard", I take that to mean you really have not been inside and don't really know. So thanks for that information, I shall make inquiry elsewhere.

Howdy,

Okay. RPD seems to have a good source. You might ask him.

Howdy,

I did peek in, but noticed no bluish/purplish stuff. I think the police officers would have been remiss not to search the closet.

Howdy,

Whoops. I click behind "quote" and then return. I'll be more careful. Sorry.

It's just my opinion, but I highly doubt the police were remiss
in anything pertaining to their investigation of this case.

Since you looked in the closet, can you tell us if the Youngs had some sort
of safe or locked box in any of their closets?

Howdy,

Well, you can just color him stupid, then. Or forgetful, maybe. I see your point.

No need, RPD has already been kind enough to share that information. I just wanted to know if you could confirm but I now understand why you cannot. No problem, there are other sources but thanks for trying.

Howdy,

Please keep in mind that any pictures I have and anything I saw was a couple of weeks after the house had been returned to family. I also don't know anything about a police report.

Hello! I think :banghead: :banghead: is the whole purpose. Don't worry about it. Know what you know and don't worry about the other. I never could figure out how much wood a wood chuck could chuck. :D

Howdy,

That's true. Also, if Jason was the killer, he could sell the jewelry and later also file for an insurance claim.

So, jake, why don't you set up a little blog or an album on a photo sharing site and post all those pics so we could refer the them instead of having to bother you all the time with all these pesky questions? I know it would be a lot of trouble, but just think of all the time and aggravation it would save you if everytime one of us had a thought, we could just look for ourselves. Whaddya think?
