I agree, it is entirely too late now and it certainly would appear hollow at this point. I suspect they indeed have their reasons.

Konichiwa ! I'm learning a few words DD!

Don't you use such bad words with me, young fellow!

j/k (I think, but I'm not so sure:waitasec: )

ETA: Does that mean "winner!!!!" for DP??? When's the final race?

What would be left to puzzle if they did so?

Well, since they'd be telling us all schmoozie stuff about Jason...what would be left? IMO, the reality

Konnichi wa - good afternoon

Danica Patrick はMotegi で勝つ - Danica Patrick wins at Motegi
Hajimemashite - how are you
Youkoso - welcome

I believe the race starts somewhere around midnight - I think. I am stuck watching the pre race festivities now as the start time is unclear.

Okay....now I know what "konnichi wa" sounds like, since I've heard that one.

And for anyone that wants to complain that we're briefly O/T...watch this!

"We at WS would Youkoso the truth in this case, so we can get justice for Michelle and her baby boy." :silenced: Oh, it's clearly been a long day. Forgive me.

Just posting again for Jake, as it was easy to overlook. Then again, you don't have to answer (certainly) if you don't want to, but I didn't know if you had seen it. TIA.

I did, and I answered, but something happened. It poofed.

Anyway, Jason has not seen the photos, far as I know. I doubt that anyone is going to offer them.

Arigatou gozamasu!

Do you get the feeling that since ABC carried the story about the mallet/hammer that the neighborhood relayed this information to them? WRAL has said nothing - perhaps with the length of time from discovery LE already knows what, if any, implications exist - the lack of response by WRAL indicates the lack of connection?

Okay, thanks. Thought by now he might ask to see them.

I believe I read somewhere that the daughter attended Princeton and has a legal background. There may be some connection thorugh legal channels through this. I believe she works in DC doing appropriations for the Iraq war effort.

What I find more interesting, and have found interesting from the beginning, is the methods employed by this law firm for handling cases. In the Duke LAX case - of course the lawyers and clients were front and center in the thick of the media claiming their clients innocence. They even provided press opportunities for their clients. In the above instance, they are allowing this family to make known their grief. One has to feel incredibly sad for all of the families.

Makes you wonder the reason for the complete silence in this case, except for McIntyre's tirade against LE at the beginning - sure makes me wonder. Not one single word of grief even...

Not sure about the lawyer's motivations, but I can tell you about the Youngs. They will not grieve publicly, not ever. Do not expect to see any of the Youngs on t.v. expressing their grief. It won't happen.

I know because I am the same way. I would never speak into a camera and share my grief with the world. It won't happen.

Wow! Is that a healthy family atmosphere for Cassidy to grow up in?. Her mother Michelle was murdered. What is she to be told. No grieving for her own mother. Or will they tell her she was hatched from a giant egg.?Mentally that is rather dangerous.

For those interested in the upcoming tree planting during National Victims Rights week:

http://www.sayville.com/news/2007news/news-4-19-2007.asp

WHAT: The Michelle Marie Fisher-Young Memorial Arbor Program will be launched during National Victim's Rights Week, which coincides both with Earth Day and National Arbor Day. The arbor program gives families an opportunity to choose a tree to be planted in honor of a loved one in any one of Islip's more than 100 parks.

why not? what is wrong with emotion in public? we are talking about an ( unsolved) brutal homicide here, not some peaceful death of an elderly person that had lived a strong full life- why not public emotion?

Arigatou - okay, have heard that word before; I swear it was in a song back in the '80's, LOL....Mr. Roboto or something like that? Am I dating myself :blushing: So what does it mean? You're becoming bilingual now, RC (if you weren't already)...so watching Danicaaaaaa is educational for you

I'd say I'm 98% sure that there is no connection. It certainly should be investigated, but I just can't give it much serious consideration. The neighbor was good to turn it over, just on the chance it was involved. My immediate thought when I first read it was, can you imagine the chain of custody nightmare and having to explain how it reverts back to the fateful night?!

You take your grieving public, if you'd like. I'm sure you'll find people who love to watch.

You know, I got to studying about that hammer or mallet, a bit. I do recall seeing wreaths and flowers placed in the yard by neighbors and grieving friends. There is a possibility it could have been left at that time. I agree, I think there is very little potential that it was involved with activities of the night of 3 November 06.

Arigatou - thank you. Yes, I am getting an education. :)

IMO,

I am stunned. Honestly stunned.
Is pride or stoicism or _______ more important than showing true grief after losing a step-daughter and their own grandson in such a horrendous manner? How about their heart aching and broke in pieces by watching their son, Jason, in depths of despair because his lovely wife and unborn son have been brutally murdered? I thought he was so emotionally distraught during the drive back that he couldn't even fathom talking to LE on the phone!

Heck, I've been dealing with a teenage daughter going through her first breakup with a serious boyfriend, and my heart just HURTS watching her go through such heartache. And there's not much I can do but be here to hold her and be a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen.

How can they not show grief? True grief, that is. Wow. To each their own, and I know you've said they're wonderful people. But in my world, most (not all) family members that are truly saddened and feel the pain of murdered family members, they don't check their tears once the cameras or interviews start. The pain is usually quite palpable. And there is NOTHING wrong with that, IMO. It shows their humanness.

DD

P.S. This tidbit just reminds me even more of the case that shall not be named. Or can we name it here, but not at CTV? :silenced:

Still, wouldn't you think WRAL would report on the fact that a search warrant was used to take possession of a possible murder weapon? Seems strange to me.

Another thing I noticed in the search warrant: for perhaps the first time, the warrant does not mention Jason's lack of "cooperation".

I suspect WRAL didn't mention it because it doesn't matter.

If you are refering to the warrant for the 5108 Birchleaf residence, you might want to look at the time it was issued. I doubt they bothered at that point to worry about JY's cooperation, he was on his knees in Brevard about that time.

To me, those who seek out the camera to show their grief are sick. They are begging for attention. Those who know they can't hold their emotions in check in front of a camera should avoid interviews. JMO of course.
