If this was about Sherrill there was about 2 and a half hours window of her being alone from the last phone call. If somebody strange was in that house when the two girls got home Cinnamon would of also been off as Janelle said that when they went to look around the house that morning Cinamon was acting off and wanted to be held and cuddled.
She would of behaved the same way that night if there was a stranger in the house. Yet the girls got ready for bed and even switched the tv on which would indicate to me nobody was in that home that shouldn’t of been when they got home.
IMO
On the other hand, can we really take into account how cinnamon was acting? Janelle was not a frequent visitor to the Delmar house as far as we can tell, which would mean that Janelle would be considered a stranger to cinnamon. Mike would be too. I know my dogs would be acting really strange if there were 2 unknown people in my house and I wasn't home.
If his DNA was in that house and bearing in mind he has been in Niall forever then his DNA would be on record and this case would of been solved years ago.
Also the police seemed to think there were move than one person involved if I am reading their statements correctly.
Also the fact of no forced entry would indicate they let whoever did this in that night imo
I saw a friend of Suzie’s say Sherrill was a very strict mum and if somebody called Suzie after 10pm she wouldn’t let her take the call and was safety conscience.
From reading how safety conscious Sherrill was she would never of opened that door to strangers that night even if somebody had tried to smash the bulb to get them to open the door at 4am.
IMO
I have been reading that about 4am a van was spotted on the corner of S kentwood ave from a newspaper boy/girl. It must of stood out as they would do the route daily.
So would that indicate the perp/perps went to the house on foot and then went back to get the van after he had subdued them?
Could it be the girls were followed from the party and the perp parked around the corner from the home and gave them enough time to fall asleep before making their move?!

Yes, your theory still works. I am just going by the fact that we only have Janelle's word on how Cinnamon was acting at the beginning. As other people started coming over, they would say the same thing because again, there are strange people in the house and her person isn't. We can't say how Cinnamon was acting before Janelle got there because we obviously weren't there to witness it.
Do we know from independent witnesses that Shane drove girls to their cars? What if he only drove one girl to her car and then tried something with the other one?
Do we know for a fact that both girls made it back to Suzie's house? What if one of them died before she ever got there, and the person who killed her went after the other two victims because he uknew the other girl could finger him?
Maybe neither of the girls made it home. Maybe two guys from the party raped and killed them, and Sherrill was the only one actually abducted from the house. Everything else could have been staged.
(N.b.: I still think the women were killed by one of the grave robbers; I'm just trying to think outside of the box.)
And little dogs are 'yappy' anyway, my Pom would bark and if started, his whole body shook so I discount the dog's reaction. Not even worth mentioning but I do wish Cinnamon could have given a statement! poor little girl........

So frustrating that the only one who v knew exactly what happened was poor Cinnamon . I asked myself how it is possible that the perps committed such a heinous crime but they didn't hurt Cinnamon, Cinnamon probably barked when hell break through,
they could silenced her easily but they took the risk that the barks will a wake people and that might risk them and exposed them... and they didn't hurt Cinnamon/ I am very glad that Cinnamon Saved
, Don't you find it strange and do you have a theory why They did not hit the dog?
The girls may not have made it back to Delmar. A fake cop could have went to the house to get Sherrill saying there was an emergency. She would have went willingly with no struggle.
Perhaps they never made it in the house. Maybe everything happened at the doorway or they lured them all outside somehow. Dogs can sense bad people. Also, my dog will run the other direction if she sees a gun or gets in trouble while our guardian dog will not back down no matter what weapon you have. If you show up and I am not at the door to greet you, he probably won't let you onto our porch. The point is, Cinnamon may have got scared and hid from the danger instead of playing attack dog. There is no way to tell how cinnamon reacted to the events that night.
yes...very possible the perps never went inside, are my thoughts too.

Let's make a pot of coffee, the friend suggested.
Janis thought, "I don't want to do that. What's Sherrill going to say when we're sitting in her kitchen drinking coffee?
Bookout looked at Janis, "They could have just gone out having fun," he speculated.
"If she is, she's in her underwear," Janis answered. On the floor were Stacy's flowered shorts, her rings and her watch in the pocket.
Could she have worn some of Suzie's clothes to go out? Bookout asked.
No, Janis answered. Stacy wouldn't fit into Suzie's clothes
It was time to call police. But not 911, Janis thought. That's only for emergencies. And that's not what this was. Not yet
This article gives us more insight into Stacy’s relationship with her mom.
