defense forensic Pathologist: "I can't say if Floyd was exposed to carbon monoxide beyond EPA levels."

I was out picking flowers for my cat's memorial display- is the defense really resting today after the last witness? Thanks!

I'm so sorry about your kitty. Mine is getting up there and I can't even think about it. Sending you much love for him.

This line of redirect is meant to highlight the lengths this witness went to to find facts that matched the narrative the defense is seeking to tell. Fowler specifically went out of his way to ask if the vehicle was running when he was reviewing the videos. JMO

one study about 3 people and another study regarding one person. total people studied in the two reports Fowler cited about carbon monoxide was 4.

I've watched trials for decades, and when the state comes at the witness in attack mode on cross he or she believes the testimony he's or she's given possibly hurt the state's case at least with one jury.

Jmho
IMO I think it depends on the questioning that the defense did. This witness went totally left field with this carbon monoxide thing and I think Blackwell is trying to tell the jury that the defense is throwing so many different theories out there because even THEY don’t know what killed George Floyd.

I think these "gotcha" questions aren't going as much as the State thought they would. He seems to really know the studies he brought up, knew the car was a hybrid, asked if the car was on, etc so far. ....it does appear he has "done his homework" whether that happened during the lunch break or before he began today we don't know, lol

#DerekChauvinTrial - JUROR: Pool notes: Juror in seat #13 (PJ52) Black man, 30s, "seems to have fallen asleep a few times" during this morning's testimony. This is not the first time a pool reporter has noted that this same juror appears to nod off.

If this is their last witness, it IMO may be because they couldn’t find anyone else to testify to such absurdity!

My sentiments exactly! There is no justification only hired guns testifying IMO. Chauvin will be convicted. I think the jury instructions & closing arguments applying the law to the facts will inform us of which charges he is likely to be found guilty!

The defense is really resting after this last witness?

I think DC is a murderer and deserves to be put away forever.

But I also think he deserves a full and competent defense and I'm not sure that he's received one. That concerns me a lot. No matter how heinous the crime, everyone deserves fair council and a fair trial. That is why we have a justice system.

It could be a lack of witnesses willing to testify on his behalf.
IMO, It is not good optics for the defendant's former boss and collegues to testify against him being that his alleged crime was comitted while on duty. I have to wonder how the jurors feel about that.

My question before I forget: even IF carbon monoxide played a role in his death and that killed him.. can’t the officers still be to blame for holding him in that same spot for over 9 minutes making him breathe it in?

Glad I wasn’t the only one nodding off. Wonder if he was dreaming about resting comfortably in the prone position in FL by a pool? “Hypothetical” of course and JMO

Was George chewing gum in the store? Nice try Nelson.

HOW is he still a juror???? They need to let him go home and have a nap.
He either needs to stay awake or the judge should call a mistrial. JMO

I like Mr. Blackwell very much; didn't catch the beginning of cross, but watching now. I think he's coming across fine...
