Record keeping of training. Have to have 48hours worth of training for 3 years. Including use of force, etc

Ex203 being shown to witness

Training records they track in workforce system. Civilian coordinator uploads those

Going to last page

Goes back to 2003. That’s when workforce director started. Prior to that paper. Cory retains records for 7 years.

I am reminded how boring trials can be. So much detail to go through. Now they’re going through Chauvin’s training records. All important and relevant of course. But man it’s tedious. JMO

10/1/2019 annual inservice trainng

Split into three phases throughout year

11/26/2018 fto training

Katy was lt who put on that training. 40 hour course. Leadership. Critical decision making process. Defensive tactics

Witness fto is the closest thing to a supervisor that trainee has

Boy what was Nelson's point in comparing this to a gun battle???? Frankly he looked really bad on that one

I agree. A gun battle isn't comparable to a prone handcuffed suspect.

  • #351
Ex275 hand written records for course

Patrol ops
Defensive ops

As taught in the academy

Defendent did receive on nov 13 defensive training

Witness yes

bottom line - I doubt the knee on the neck killed him
I’m open to hearing the evidence though.
Yeah that’s the meat, right there. See, I do “think the knee on the neck killed him”.

* I think going forward, this would like to be my focus in terms of significance/evidentiary value, hence medical testimonies.

I believe there was some medical testimony earlier, haven’t seen it, just kind of following along here, giving more “wrestling confessions”, it seems. Lol

I can’t help but see this in some ways as terms of, um, martial arts, combat rules, as far as what we learn from day 1: I’ll go ahead and say right now I have some fighting experience, been training since I was a teen. As I said above, I’ve had my arse kicked and have been injured..I don’t know, a lot of this goes back to witness #1 Williams for me. I see eye to eye with him as far as what you should and should not know, carotid artery, etc. is 101 JM0)

(Yeah they got creamed on that on day 4, iirc, that’s why I noted it)

Nelson went out of his way to show it was at the same point in time. Just a different camera angle.

Tbh DC never changed position or removed his knee even after medics arrived. IMO at least that is what has been discussed ad nauseum.

exactly

No of training hours shown is 8

Divided between patrol ops and defensive tactics

Still looking at ex 203

Had crisis trainng and narcan training 2018

  • #356
yeah, not loosening up restraint after he fell unconscious is a problem for me too.

GF had way more health problems than just recovering from Covid

Had the cop been cutting off GF’s airway - he couldn’t have been screaming, yelling and carrying on - he would have fallen unconscious way sooner - in my opinion

I'm not sure the placement of the knee makes a difference. Based on testimony I have seen, it appears the knee to the neck would obstruct blood flow. The weight of the knee, along with two other officers weight, would obstruct the ability to inhale.

i think the point being made was each and every interaction is unique with its own set of circumstances - there is no hard set rules because it would be impossible

Now we looking at 2016

Multiple 8 hour blocks in November. Defendent attended 40 hour Crisis training
