Why have they moved Mr. Chauvin to the back row - surely there's a reason.... is the reason what I suspect it is?
And there's no COVID-19 screen now between defense lawyer and Mr. Chauvin: So are the reasons:
a. Get Mr. Chauvin as far away from jurors as possible (so no juror lady feels 'threatened')?? and
b. To make it look like defense lawyer believe def' is entirely innocent and 'good guy-police officer who's done nothing whatsoever wrong - no need to fear this wonderful man'?
another couple of days like yesterday and by Friday the judge will have to re-think things. Anyone have an updated composition of the jury with the two seated jurors gone?

commentators talking about only remedy as this point might be sequestration during trial but covid 19 makes this difficult as well as I don't think in Mn. we have ever had a sequestered jury...just not done. Judge Cahill has his work cut out for him...there needs to be some remedy here.
Morning all!
I really thought this was an open, and shut case, but I'm worried it really isn't. The more I read the more concerned I've become.
Did the DA perhaps overcharge this case because of feeling so much pressure to do so?
Another poster (I'm sorry I don't remember their name) mentioned it may be more inline with criminal negligence, and that has stuck in my mind since then.
The video of the defendant kneeling on George's neck for almost nine minutes was, and still is agonizing to watch.
However, trying to look at it without emotions it's now obvious the pressure to his neck had to be very little after all because if it had been the cause of his death would have been from being asphyxiated by the defendant kneeling on his neck.
Has the MSM disclosed all of the facts instead of just concentrating only on the kneeling on his neck? The reason I'm asking is in past cases similar to this case MSM reported false narratives omitting important things their viewers should have been told in order to know the full picture/facts surrounding each of the cases, and unfortunately there have been more than one case where it's happened.
I just wish the media would always put out all the information known each time its covered instead of it coming out afterwards leaving many blindsided because they weren't ever aware of all of the pertinent facts until afterwards when it's far too late, and so much damage has already been done.
A perfect example of how dangerous false narratives can be, among others, is Mike Brown's case in Ferguson. After the city lay in ruins, and after our then president and his AG prematurely blamed Officer Wilson ... an in depth thorough investigation by the DOJ found MB to be the aggressor against OW, and the shooting was ruled justified.
I pray this case is not one of those.
George most certainly does deserve justice, but the entire facts must come forward from the witness stand only for the proper justice to be handed down.
I truly wouldn't want to be a juror on this case.
Whoever does serve I can only hope they render their verdict based solely on the evidence/testimonies.

After a longer than expected break, #DerekChauvinTrial is back on the record. Jury selection continues. Juror #75 begins this session on the witness stand. Judge Cahill just described over 200 in this prospective jury pool. Yesterday, prosecutors stated it was 329 people. @FOX9
Juror #75 says he watched some of the live stream of #DerekChauvinTrial before coming into court today. Says he wanted to see the set up & wasn't exposed to anything significant. He is unemployed and worried about his job search right now and what would happen if selected.

After reading the Autopsy report, 27 million is crazy. I'm so over all these huge settlements. While the kneeling was horrible and should NOT have been done, it wasn't what killed him. And seeing he did the SAME act before just shows the 'acting' cops have to deal with all the time. This will only be an open and shut case if people are scared of retaliation. No way i'd be on that jury. And ones that are I think, are probably thinking of the payout at the end of the trial.
IMO, MOO and all that jazz.
Perhaps Mr. Cauvin was moved so he can more easily confer with the attorney at that table. Why have they moved Mr. Chauvin to the back row - surely there's a reason.... is the reason what I suspect it is?
